So far I got FF XV premium and XCom 2 deluxe.

On the fence for Prey, Dishonored collection, Halo Wars 2, Witcher 3 complete and Valkyria.

Super on the fence about the Ezio Bioshock collections, would mainly be for achievements and menories.

I’ve answered this question like THREE times already but I guess people don’t read.

1) The current deals will carry over after they expire because they will be then open to non-Gold members.
2) There might be a few date night deals but I wouldn’t count on it
3) There will be some additional Black Friday deals via the Microsoft Store mentioned in Major’s post (like Forza 7 for $39.99)
4) Don’t be an asshole

Lol it's just an opinion that is pretty decent given where we are posting and the context of price and the fact an X doesn't have exclusive games at this time

I've seen them played I know people that own them. Settle down it's ok to have different opinions. I never said he shouldn't buy one just gave my opinion.

Well giving an opinion on something you personally don't have, it's very misleading.....try to keep yourself objective with facts and not for what you seen on others.

that's true. The X I bought for my nephew that he plays on his tv at his house makes my opinion invalid because it's not set up in my living room.

if the asker of the question was a videophile he would already have both a 4k tv and an X. I was keeping money/value in mind given this is a place where people would Andy Dufresne through a prison sewer system to save a buck.

The X will never have exclusive games. They all will be playable on the S and on PC forever. Microsoft has given up on console only exclusives.

I Think everyone is getting antsy from majority of us regulars living in an echo chamber where we're legit reading the same posts over and over again. That and people getting upset over missing the in store pick up TRU glitch and the Shadow of War glitch. Though I am going on CAG senses with the X as well and picking it up when it gets marked down and comes packaged with at least two games and maybe a controller. Then I think I'll be interested.

just silly to me

we will spend 30 minutes of pain in the assery with apps and accounts and this and that for 2 bucks of savings but me saying someone might wanna hold off on an expensive mid generation graphic upgrade (with no exclusives) until they need another system or run into some easy money is ridiculous

I have an Xbox One X and to say the difference between an Xbox One and Xbox One X on 1080p is incredible is very much overstated. I've seen a few games that look really nice, but some other look about the same as before since I'm not really sensitive to those sorts of minor differences.

 
Well me, my X1X and 4K TV will ride happily into the gorgeous sunset I’m seeing right now in Forza 7...

If you live in the CAG ecosystem, as a framework, then you had enough GS credit and savings from other purchases to get both your 1X’s with nothing out of pocket.

CAG is abundance, not scarcity. Change your mind and live a 1X world.

Just to play devil’s advocate. Some people may consider the X to be a bargain considering it matches in many cases the equivalent of a much more expensive PC with the same specs.

But value is in the eye of the beholder.

And, of course, some have used various methods to get the X cheaper than the full $500. Just sayin.

Believe me. I originally didn’t plan on getting the X but once I saw what it was capable of, I did some selling and stuff to get it because it was something I did see value in. But I completely understand people not getting it because it is all relative and based on what we can afford.

If someone has the money go for it

if someone's xbox gets run into the ground and they need another go for it

if they have some great discount opportunity and wanna do some sort of trade situation go for it

there are situations that are go for it but as a cheap ass gamer since the 80's I'd never recommend someone that already owns a system that plays ALL of the games of the upgrade just at a lower graphic level spend extra money unnecessarily for the upgrade and yes it's unnecessary if you already have a system and are on a cheap ass gaming site.

If anything I've said is flawed it's that I have made quite a few assumptions about the person that asked it but overall I've stuck to the point of this site pretty well.

 
Some people are really thirsty for that 1X to come in and start hating.

On BF2, I just unlocked Darth Vader. Such a controversial unlock.

I would have been pissed if it took me 4x as long to do it.

What’s weird is that when I level up in Battlefront 2, there’s nothing. No fanfare, aside from the number going up. No money. No extra card pack or whatever.

It’s weird. Like, really weird to have a game track a level where shit-all happens when you level up.

This logic doesn’t work if you include Pc gaming. Meaning it doesn’t work.

Because you can really strip down some graphical options on an old PC to make it run current games. But it would be shit.

Wasn’t trying to argue with you. I respect your opinion.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. I definitely don’t think I would have gotten it if I didn’t have a 4K TV. I know it still may improve things on 1080p, but I just don’t think I would have done it.

Part of it is that I really do want to get the most out of my TV.

I'd say for me my top 3 for your "on the fence" selection is 1) Witcher 3 Complete, 2) Dishonored Collection, 3) Halo Wars 2 Complete. I tend to prefer strategy games so someone else might throw Prey or Valkyria in that third spot but those top 2 selection don't change. Yeah Witcher 3 is amazing - right now a hell of a bang for your buck, with the expansions and all for a very low price - and your wait paid off. I also grabbed X-Com 2 Deluxe and contemplated FFXV but the FF I grew up and loved is dead imo.

It's pretty much akin to PC settings right. Your OG Xbox One is a minimum system requirements machine running games fairly well with sacrifices to frame rate and visual graphical splenda. Then you have the Xbox One S, a medium settings machine, where you'll be able to put on a few neat features like HDR & finally you have the Xbox One X that's a high end PC which runs things like 4K, 60 fps, HDR, improved textures, draw distances, improved lighting, etc. Except the big difference is that all the Xbox systems are worked on and games are optimized to run the best via the SKUs available. A lot of developers actually said they were able to optimize game code for Xbox One and Xbox One S based on the improvements that they got going with the Xbox One X version.

But I don't have the X (internet intensive to say the least) so what could I say about the matter. Lol, I love that nugget of ignorance, you can go and research on a matter to have an informed opinion on it you know. Started FF15 after buying Deluxe Edition and some 50 cent quality of life dlc. Enjoying the game so far. Combat feels better than the demo I played last year.

Finished Fractured But Whole last night. Loved the game even though I don't normally like turn based combat. See with Stick of Truth.

Tried a bunch of game pass games yesterday too. Of the ones I tried, only really enjoyed Sky Force Anniversary and plan on playing much more it.
