I played ~100 hours of it on 360, bought all the DLC, but hadn't finished the main story or touched the DLCs besides the building one. I killed folks and robbed folks, got wolfie with it, got hitched, built a house, and was working on hunting down the last few daedric artifacts.

I didn't really play it after getting an Xbox One, but had thought it would go BC and I'd get back to it then. But here we are, still no BC in sight and it's only $20 digital for the complete edition with DLC. I think I'm finally to the point where I can stomach starting all over again

Was in the same boat. Do it. You can always go back and yeah it sucks they're not shared but it is nice to have an alternate Skyrim universe. If you know what I mean but yeah def enjoy the masterpiece again. Mods are cool, the visuals and lighting are phenomenal but you could restart worst games right.

Three of the DLC packs are the building so they're pointless if you don't like that but if you do they have some decent stuff. One story DLC is fairly short but allows you to build a robot companion. Far harbor and nuka world are really good and add a decent amount of story (at least 10 hours each probably). Compared to the price of the main game it's lacking in content but $20-$30 isn't a bad price but I wouldn't say it's a great price until it's under $20.

1. Worth it for cheap. Average game with a pretty top-notch story, especially as you get close to the end.

2. Really nothing like it. Stylish as hell. Quick Time Events on steroids. Really shitty they hide the true ending behind paid DLC...otherwise, highly recommended.

3. Never played

4. If you buy it expecting SF2 (or even 4), you may not like it. On its own it's well-made. Not my thing though, just too "technical" a game for me to get very good at.

5. Never played

6. 1 is an interesting curiosity. Again, there isn't much like it, mostly because of the environment. 2 went off the tracks and 3 didn't do much to correct it.

7. Crackdown was one of my favorite 360 games ever. That said, it has not aged well. If you were playing it in 2007 it was a blast...nowadays it just seems pretty janky and occasionally frustrating. Crackdown 2 was one of the most disappointing sequels I've ever seen. Avoid.

8. Symphony is one of the 20 best video games ever made. Not optional. Other ones I never played.

I think they want to regulate it. if its one thing Governments hate is not making money off something.

No different from them going after Online Gambling when it was overseas websites.

It'll be like DraftKings and FanDuel where it's fine as long as they make money.

 
Just echoing that Symphony of the Night is a must-play. It has some odd conventions which haven't aged well (the inventory management isn't great, the difficulty spikes in a few places) but it's an absolute classic.

Minus one VIP client who I made an exception for today, officially on break. Time to alternate between doing work for finals and playing games.

Does it mean something that the only one to like the troll's comments was ol' Uncle Assmar? Maybe they should start their own thread. Then they can figure out how to "discuss deals" without determining the value of the items on sale, since user reviews aren't contribututive.


AC Origins is the most fun I've had playing an AC game since Black Flag. I really like the changes to combat and the weapon variety. I know the skill tree and loot drops are a big change for series, but so far they haven't been much of a grind. Granted I haven't left the first village yet, so its a bit early to anticipate how grindy the game becomes.

I finally understand the Forzathon hype. I won a Bently! Based on previous comments some of the challenges can be more of a pain to accomplish, but they gave me a nice carrot to chase and then eat(?). Go carrots!

Not really worried about that. I always end up with favorites that aren’t loot exclusive. The ones that dropped in BO3 weren’t close to the best weapons in the game. The loot boxes already drop epic and heroic versions of weapons that give an XP boost or some sort of zombie boost, but, once again, that doesn’t affect gameplay at all.

I’ve already prestiged once. This is easily one of the top 5 CoD MP experiences ever.

Out of your list here, I'd most highly recommend Beautiful Katamari, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and Spec Ops: The Line. If you like fighters and aren't expecting BC, Third Strike and Darkstalkers are both great choices. Full thoughts on everything in the spoiler.

1. Yeah, grab it. Just don't look anything up ahead of time if you haven't had the story spoiled.

2. Keep in mind that the true ending is paid DLC, that isn't discounted.

3 and 4. Both great fighters. I don't think they'll become BC at any point because Capcom, but their online is good and they added a lot of challenge stuff to work towards.

5. I couldn't get into this but the tentacle weapons definitely give it a unique feel. If you like the comics it's an easy yes.

6. Colonies is good, 2 is kind of a mess as the campaign is designed around 4 player co-op, but it's fun if you can find people to play with. I never played 3 as I heard pretty much only bad things, it's from a totally different team as the first two.

7. I have't played these enough to recommend but 1 is generally considered the better game.

8. SOTN is a must. Harmony of Despair is weird since it's online co-op, has some questionable design choices. The last time I played it (years ago), the only people playing were max level and knew the maps like the back of their hand so it wasn't that fun. Haven't played the Lords of Shadow games, like Crackdown I hear 1 is much better than 2.

9. Katamari is great, a very upbeat and jolly game. If you're familiar with the concept and are interested, give it a go. The game has a great soundtrack, but it's mostly licenesed it is probably keeping it from becoming BC.

That's my plan, I'm waiting to see what I grab for Black Friday at retail and then ill make my selections on the marketplace. I keep going back and forth on FFXV, I think ill end up getting it, I have windows store bing credit expiring soon so it will be free, my wife says she will play Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune if I buy it, so might grab that too, debating Skyrim and Witcher 3, prob end up getting one or the other. I hated the controls in Witcher 2, couldn't even play it cuz I couldn't get used to the controls, and I'm not sure how Witcher 3 compares.

I will prob get CoD WW2 from Best Buy if I can get the $40 price. Prob grab Lego Ninjago for $20 from Best Buy for my son. Not much else I want from the sales. Maybe a new controller from Best Buy for $40, since they have a lot of different colors and a couple of mine are getting sticky from kids gross hands.

Someone talk me into them or out of them... I know they'll be cheaper in the future, but when will that be?

 
Of course Bethesda would announce a free trial for Wolfenstein II on the day of the 54th anniversary of JFK's assassination.......or is just a coincidence and I'm reading too much into it  :razz:

For the Xbox Quests do you get any sort of notification when you have completed the objectives? Got the 400+ achievement points in a game and downloaded Nights and Tales from the Borderlands, pretty sure I booted up Mixer for the 5 days also.

 
Wolf 2 will be $25 at GameStop tomorrow and Super Lucky's Tale is supposed to be 30% off, but I am unsure if it'll be through XBL or the actual Microsoft store.

Super excited for GWG for once. No heavy hitters on there which will leave some people disappointed, but don't own any of the four. Not often that happens.

Hell, iirc, Vermintide was just on sale a few weeks ago. Glad I passed on it now.

Don't own Warhammer, but was always interested. Own Back to the Future on my PS3. Child of Eden I think we all own on One from previous GWG My bad, was thinking Child of Light. Marlow Briggs I already own AND beaten and it's a fun God of War clone, nothing amazing, but has some great one liners.

Is there a xbone version of child of eden? I've had it on my list of game I want to try for a while and have just assumed it was only on 360. Glad to get this one for free instead of using gamestop credit. Also been wanting to check out back to the future and almost bought it last week. So even happier to get that one for free

Welp, now I regret buying vermintide last sale and not playing it yet. At least now I can play it with my roommate since he'll have it. Only game I don't own is marlow briggs. At least I've beaten BttF and played a decent amount of child of eden.
