I played Forza Horizon 2 on 360 and promptly traded it in because the controls were horrible. Driving seemed to be like pushing a shopping cart with two rusted wheels. I'm considering Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One for $5, but I'm wondering if it controls any better. I enjoy arcade style games like Burnout and Daytona, so it would be great if FH2 on Xbox One would control like those games.

From memory, I believe it's 7 cars a month in six monthly packs - 42 cars? One of the car passes had a pass exclusive car, but that might've been Forza 3.

I can't speak to the 360 version, but the FH games - to me - are amazing. They all have arcade-style physics/steering, etc - and feel fast (unless you're driving a D-class car) - similar to Burnout (not sure about Daytona). FH2 on 360 had a different developer and I think it's by and large a different game than the XBOX One version.

FH2 on the 360 was outsourced to a completely different developer, it borrowed the name and some assets, but that's it. Unlike a lot of games that saw dual release (Rise of the Tomb Raider, for example) which were basically identical other than graphics, FH2 was just a cash-in on the 360, the real sequel is only on X1.

I either didn't know this or forgot, and it explains why I disliked FH2 on the 360, lol. Looking forward to it on the 1 now!

Glad I wasn't the only one. The best thing about FH2 on 360 was the high trade in value at the time of its release. A gamer should never get pissed off during the tutorial/opening scene of a game, and that's exactly what happened to me. I couldn't wait to take it to GameStop.

The director of DOA6 is saying they're aiming to make the characters less sexualized in the new game. I don't really care either way, but I don't know how much I believe this from the same team that made over $1000 worth of DLC costumes of which the majority are obviously going for sexy, plus the two DLC characters (Honoka and Marie Rose) clearly designed to fill out body types for the beach volleyball sub-franchise.

Any reason to upgrade to an Xbox One X?
I owned a release model,and upgraded to an S.

I play my Xbox One solely on a 1080p 44inch tv, and it barely gets 1/8th the playtime as my PS4 Pro. But at the same time, I wanted the "best" version of the XB1 incase something good comes out. That said I just own and play it for exclusive and the backwards compat (though I still have my XBX and 360 for games not BC)

Think you answered most of your own questions, not going to get much except loading times, but if you do a lot of backwards compat 4k Red Dead, Skate 3, etc... is pretty amazing

Someone said the difference between certain games like Gears 4 and AC Origins is night and day even on a 1080p

So far I've committed to MUA Bundle, and I bought GTAV through Mixer for the $5 credit. Speaking of buying through Mixer, anyone know if you still earn MS Rewards points when purchasing that way? If you do, I'll probably see about buying more games that way, just to support streamers.

As for possibilities, I'll probably get the Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris game, and I'm really tempted on the Gold edition of Fractured But Whole. But Stick of Truth is deep in my backlog, and I'm betting by the time I finish it, the Gold Edition of Fractured But Whole will be even cheaper.

My girlfriend has been bugging me to get Sims 4, so it looks like I'll have to bite during this sale. I was honestly going to wait for 75% off, but she's insistent. Hopefully she can wait for better sales on the ridiculous amount of DLC they have for it.

I'm honestly pretty disappointed on this sale. I've been watching sales only since August, and it seems the sales are always the same games, with some exceptions each sale. I only joined this gen last November, so there are a ton of games I still don't own that I want, but they have NEVER been on sale (even crappy sales) since I've been in the market.

 
I never honestly played them besides 4k but I'm sure someone else can speak to the frame rate improvements on them, honestly though the HDR is still a bigger factor than 4k on those titles at least for me. Both of those are great examples of HDR, the moonlight on the water in AC Origins, is still a wow factor.

Nah. I mean it would be better to run everything at actual 1080p versus the slightly lower res, also the better textures and effects. But I wouldn't make the jump without something that displays hdr.

Is it actually true that an external 3.0 drive loads faster than a standard internal? I can't remember if there's a better drive in the X, maybe it's a hybrid drive? I know it does have much better load times, Digital Foundry among others has documented that.

Is it actually true that an external 3.0 drive loads faster than a standard internal? I can't remember if there's a better drive in the X, maybe it's a hybrid drive? I know it does have much better load times, Digital Foundry among others has documented that.

Yep Game Pass is available on Amazon again and continues to be available on BB for $29.99 for 6 months.  The $1 trial for 1 month is also available on the Game Pass site.  

Did the 1 month trial then added two passes for 13 months for $61.  Very good deal at this price.

I want Realm Royale on console. I look forward to seeing new games that actually do new things. Gear crafting and abilities are interesting. The turn into a chicken instead of "down" is genius.

Sigh... Assassin's Creed is honestly my favorite series in gaming. I have loved them all and even like the future storyline, but I don't know how I feel on this. I don't like the idea of the choice mechanic being thrown in so late in the series, it's kind of trite to be playing as a Spartan, and then we have the issue with the time setting. Unless Odyssey is mostly about the formation of the Order of Ancients/Templars, then I don't get how this fits when Origins basically showed us that Bayak and Aya were the founders of the Brotherhood.

I REALLY am waiting on an explanation on this one.

I hate driving games but love FH2 and FH3. There is a demo for FH2 it is short but you should get the feel for it.

The FH3 demo is longer and is a better game but nothing wrong with FH2.
