Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Actually, there is a retry in both the original and the remaster. You press right on the d-pad and it brings up a list of things. One of the menu items is retry last race. That takes you back to the start without having to drive there.

I still don’t think it’s a gigantic improvement over the original. Sure it looks good but not as good as some other X enhancements, including FH.
Wow, never knew that. Thanks for the heads up. They really hid it, because I played the game on two systems without knowing it existed.

I was debating Just Cause XL and Deus Ex Mankind Divided because they seem likely for GwG in the near future, but then I realized if I buy the 11.25 deluxe editions, that has content that won't come with GwG anyways so its still a good deal, so now I own both... Prob will try Just Cause XL first. I know the reviews say the framerate wasn't great but I have an Xbox One X so I'm guessing that probably powers through any of those issues if they haven't already been patched.
Deus Ex Mankind Divided's controls are so nasty. Didn't like it at all.

I never had any frame rate issues with Just Cause 3. The only slow down I had was when I would finish one of those bomb truck challenges and the explosions at the end would have a slow motion effect. But that was about it.

Wow, Xbox store is running about as well as a 1 legged mouse. Get your shit together Xbox. I redeemed a code and now it’s not acknowledging the code was redeemed. I re-enter it and it says the code is redeemed…no shit. I just wanted to download Burnout tonight.

So been playing around with my TCL and there’s things I like about it — like the picture - and things I don’t like. The remote compared to my Samsung, which I also wasn’t fond of, sucks even more. Don’t like that it cant control a cable box.

Also wondering, is there not a quick way to change the audio from TV and receiver without having to dig through a bunch of menus? My Samsung had a specific audio setting and you just clicked from TV speakers to receiver. This I have to go into CEC settings, etc. just to turn it off.

Do yourself a favor and invest in a Logitech Harmony. Be it a simple 650 or one of the hub-based remotes, any of them are better than your current level of languish.

Yeah, I have one. My wife HATES it. Finally got the cable remote to work with the TV correctly so she can use just that.

Got the picture looking magnificent.

Only issue I have now is the damn receiver / TV audio thing. Set it up so my wife doesn’t have to mess with it. She also hates the receiver on. Basically turned off ARC completely. But now need to go deep into the settings any time I want to get the audio through the receiver.

Going to keep it that way for now because I have to make this transition as easy as possible for the wife. :)

And on another note, I never really thought I had input lag but now having this TCL, I guess I did. Everything is so much more responsive. Wowzers!

Just have MENTS left
Have YTRUEACHIEVEMENTS to go.

Wondering if there's any easy way to search for ALL achievements starting with a given letter, not just achievements starting with a given letter for games that have at least one achievement previously obtained on my account?

I'm thinking I may have things in the backlog that would have achievements for a given letter but I don't think it's efficient to look up every game one at a time.

I've already tried wildcards like * and ? in the name field on the All Achievements page, and that didn't work. I did notice that when I go to the Birthday challenge hub and click on one of the greyed out letters the webpage address is something like

The part after the ampersand indicates the sort criteria and the part before indicates the search criteria. I'm thinking there's a way to remove the gamer and user id parts to signify all or make user irrelevant. But I haven't cracked that yet.

Yes, there is kinda something like what you’re looking for. If you add your backlog titles to “My Game Collection” which you can do on the homepage of each game, then it will include those achievements automatically in this and all future challenges/community events. I believe it also includes them in things like the UHH but could be wrong about that. Hope that helps.

Aww dude you're life saver! Thanks.

What I mean is that inserting the disc only automatically triggers the base game install. You would need to see if that disc also prompts the console to allow you to download the DLC, and you would do that by going into Manage Game and seeing if there is anything else in the Ready to Install section.

Speaking of Ready to Install, has anyone gotten the DLC from the MixPot yet?
The disc doesn’t give any indication that the dlc is ready to install. From my searching online, it seems MS screwed this up from the get go and never bothered to fix it. There’s a lot of people asking the same question going back to when BC was first announced, and still no official answer from MS.

Depending on how many games you need to add, a quicker way is possibly to go to Main Menu/Games from the homepage, and then apply filters as needed. The last column of the chart allows you to quickly add games to your collection from the entire list of games.

Came home from working a 12 hour shift yesterday to two gigantic boxes in my living room. As I posted a while back, I got married on 2/16. Well apparently I had been talking about the LG B7A OLED TV so much for the past month, that the wife went to Best Buy and bought me the 65 inch B7A, AND the LG SJ9 Atmos Sound bar to match. Got it all set up last night and Ho. Lee. Shit.

Haven't played any of my 30 or 40 X Enhanced games on it yet, but I did get it all calibrated and set up, and watched Thor: Ragnarok in 4k with HDR and Dolby Atmos. Simply outstanding. Needless to say the wife will be getting something nice in return...

Wow. Wanna do a wife swap? ;)

Well, yesterday finally got the last two remaining achievements in Mass Effect Andromeda in order to 1000'd: "Cryptographer" and "Matchmaker". And with that, I'm done with the game, this time for real.

Don't how long it'll be for another Mass Effect and too bad Andromeda will go down in history as the franchise's "ugly duckling" but I enjoyed all of my 3 playthroughs and ended up liking and caring for all characters. Except Liam, he sucks.

Thanks, just noticed that a few minutes ago.

Will this convince anyone to buy the game instead of playing it through GamePass? It will be interesting to see how well this does.

Congrats on your 1000gs for ME Andromeda but let me ask how long did it take to get it?

According to the game stats, 210 hours across all 3 playthroughs (I did NG+ and then NG++) so it was basically one whole playthrough done three separate times. My Ryder ended up at level 116.

I know. After the second one I actually called it quits but the nagging sense of not getting those two achievements made me go back.

If anyone else is looking to take advantage of this trick be aware you also need to go to Site Settings and under the heading "My Game Collection" change the setting "Exclude unstarted games from my achievements" from Yes to No.

I admire and respect your dedication. I personally think achievements are silly but do respect the dedication you guys put into some of them.

You can 1000GS it in 2 playthroughs, the only one you can't get in one playthrough is beating it on hard mode. The only two I'm missing are hard mode and teammate revives, and I only played through once.

True, but I botched the achievements, twice. LOL. Third time was the charmed.

Will this convince anyone to buy the game instead of playing it through GamePass? It will be interesting to see how well this does.https://twitter.com/StateOfDecay/status/973254722982354944
