Speaking of gamepass. I was browsing the games to see of I would be interested in getting it. I know the new forza will be in it, but does anyone know why no other forza is in it and all other games are?
What if I want to be lazy and not get off the couch to walk a few to swap games lol.

They all came out before the "all MS first party games going forward" are going to be in game pass date. I think most of the old MS stuff will get there end up there eventually, but at least the Horizon series faces the added hurdle of the music licenses not to mention the deals with the car manufacturers.

What about forza motorsport 7 and the previous horizon. Shouldn't that be covered?
I really don't know, that's why I'm asking to see if/when it will be. Like ea access games eventually end up in the vault after a few months. Especially the sports variations.
I thought the music license and car manufacturer deals would still be in place due to them still being sold in stores now?
 
With the delivery of my X1X, I flipped my VCR Xbox (1tb) To GameStop for $150 in credit and grabbed Battlefront II. Die hard Star Wars fan made it difficult to wait this long

Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption look amazing. Just, stupid impressive

The current licensing deals could be tied to units sold / gross revenue and subscription availability is a different animal that would need further negotiations. It's why TV shows like Malcolm in the Middle and The Drew Carey Show are in syndication but haven't had home media releases beyond the first season in the US and aren't on streaming services - music licenses for syndication were part of the original deals, but home video and streaming were not. A number of the Married with Children DVD seasons replaced the Frank Sinatra song in opening credits with (IIRC) an instrumental, though I think they got the rights for a later release.

During last night's dev stream, they said the Lancer skin will probably be available in a stream next week. There were a lot of complaints on the Gears forums and in the stream chats this week from people that missed out on it because its availability wasn't announced through official Gears / The Coalition channels.

Chips Ahoy has a promotion going on right now for Sea of Thieves where specially marked packages have a code on them that can be redeemed at https://mondelez.promo.eprize.com/chipsahoyxbox/ for XBL codes for in-game items - Onyx Bucket, Compass, Shovel and Tankard.  The first code I redeemed was the Compass and also included codes for 5 days Game Pass and 5 days Gold.  The second one was the Bucket with 5 days Game Pass.  There's apparently something extra included with the 3rd and 4th codes, probably more Game Pass.  The codes are printed on the outside of the packages.  According to this Reddit thread, the codes were reusable back in early May, but don't appear to be any longer.

Finally got around to playing some more of Onrush. Really is a fun game. Different for a “racing” game. Still would love to see them add some true races or make a new game with a racing focus because the engine is great.

Was bored so tried some PUBG tonight after a month or so break, wow the game actually seems to be worse now and I'm on the Xbox One X. Black loading screen forever after finding a match and both times I was free falling out of the plane once the actual game loaded in. Tried it on my Xbox One s just for a goof and no joke the building load in now seemed to take up to a minute. I'll have to give it another go later this week to see if it was just Friday night severs, but man. No wonder it didn't get even a slight mention by MS at E3.

Yeah I use to play PUBG non-stop till about Feb or March and heard the latest patches actually have made the game worst. If you look on reddit there are a lot of complaints. I had 0 issues with Miramir on the test service so was taken aback by all the complaints. I plan to give it another whirl once the third map drops supposed sometime this Summer.

I am hoping we get Realm Royale released sometime in the near future. It has the fortnite like graphics without building and has classes. Had a lot of fun with it on PC and my toaster can run it at 60fps.

Promo only works on game listed in the promo box coz u are buying from said link within the box. Game in promo box is not always the game they are streaming tho coz its set up independently of what they are streaming.

I've got a Samsung KS9500 and it's rather pretty. I was kicking myself after seeing how much prices dropped in the 6 months after I bought it. A firmware update dramatically improved colors/brightness, if you have a recent Samsung make sure to update.

Anywhere I can try and complain about not getting the mixpot? I actually want the H5 helmets and the pre-order, that game looked interesting.

Realm Royale has serious potential.

Incredibles 2 movie of the summer so far, not sure what will top it.

Game Pass does not include any DLC. It will give you a 10% discount on dlc for game pass games though.
 
FM7 Series 1 Playoffs starts in 19 mins. Quests aren't showing yet but should appear when it starts.

Edit: Quest are live. 2 of the quests requires watching for 60 mins and 120 mins. You also have to complete 4 quests with the 120 mins to claim the 5th quest.

Update: Don't need 4 quests and 120 to get Quest 5 Seattle Driver Suit. Poll hasn't shown up for me and for others and it's been 2.5 hours.

I am hoping we get Realm Royale released sometime in the near future. It has the fortnite like graphics without building and has classes. Had a lot of fun with it on PC and my toaster can run it at 60fps.

I think I was on the 3rd map for one of my games, was a lot of hills and sort of like the desert one but had more of a forest look. That was the one where i stared at the PUBG logo while it loaded in for what felt like a couple minutes and when it did finally load up had already landed on the ground.

 
Before the sale ends, I'd like to buy a game for a friend but we live in different regions. Is there an easy way to gift games and bypass the region lock?  I notice I can change the region on the Microsoft Store page with the link in the footer, but I'm not sure if this is actually changing region or just language. Even then I worry once I actually go through payment it will somehow default me back to the US and give me a US based code.

Any tips or helpful information would be super appreciated it.

I'll have to give it another go later this week to see if it was just Friday night severs, but man. No wonder it didn't get even a slight mention by MS at E3.

While I agree it's still shit and have personally lost hope of it being improved to acceptable, it was at E3. They announced Summer for the jungle map, and winter for a new snow map, as well as War Mode which is big teams, probably 50 vs 50 like Fortnite.

EDIT: Specifically at Microsoft's show at E3, you just missed it.

I don't think you can. That would go against the ToS of Xbox Live.

Thanks. That really sucks though. Maybe I can Paypal some money over so he can buy it, although that takes the surprise away. With Steam changing their region gifting and Xbox being so closed off, companies are making it really hard for me to give them my money lately.

Closest you could get is to buy XBL currency in your friend's region and send them a code over email for the amount of the game (or Paypal etc). Not nearly as fun as surprising someone with an actual code for a game, but probably the only way to accomplish it.

I seriously doubt any game will come with all the DLC if it's for sale separately. Games with DLC get a further incentive on gamepass because they can sell DLC while only getting the few cents or whatever it is they are getting as part of gamepass per game. Bethesda knew this when putting ESO on game pass because then they could get people to buy crowns (their in game currency) and all those expansions.

Go this route. If I were in your friends' shoes, receiving an Xbox currency code would be better than just a money payment via Paypal. It screams "buy this game!" more than straight cash would.

Thanks again for the replies! I'll grab a code for his region and try that method as it at least sounds like the best and safest for making sure everything works correctly. I'm still somewhat new to xbox overall so still getting the hang of this.

 
Thanks for all your replies regarding my game pass/season pass question. Think I confused myself originally cause some GWG freebies had dlc included. Either way, I'll pick up the season pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider while its on sale
 
My wife and son got their final Xbox Rewards deposit ... but I didn't get mine. And I had some points pending. Now it won't let me log in to my Xbox Rewards account anymore. Anyone know if these things roll out in waves? If not, I guess I need to contact support.

Also, trying to figure out if they did the conversion on remaining gems over to MS points. Not sure where there is even a history of this.

It might be here. Looking at mine I see 100 points added on the 15th, and I think that's roughly what I had left in VIP gems.

Edit- Got a Switch now, needed an "arrow to the knee" on the go. Why does it feel like I'm cheating on the X though?

I have an X1X as well and everything was smooth sailing in PUBG for quite a while, until they brought the new map in. And it’s only when the new map is chosen. I still have zero issues with the first one.

LOL This made me laugh pretty hard. Have to agree. I know there are apparently many people who love that game (you may be one of them too for all I know) - hence, it's head-scratching popularity. But I gave it a try for the first time the other day & uninstalled it after about 3 hours. I must admit that it was oddly fun to WATCH others play when in spectator mode - though I suspect that was mostly because I was actually trying to learn the game quickly so as to give it a fair shot. Unfortunately, the gameplay loop comes off as a hyperkinetic non-sensical mish-mash of different genres on crack. I wouldn't go so far as to say I "hate" the game - I'll probably give it another shot when the PvE "Save the World" is finished. But, to my tastes the MP/PvP is whack in its current state.

Edit: And, it doesn't help that in general I do admittedly *despise* the kind of F2P money-grab bullshit. I can't stand how intrusive it is when I cycle through screens & I'm presented with multiple attempts to reach into my wallet in order to offer me more of the game. Even if it's mostly cosmetic I can't stand this model. It comes off as inherently shady & just kills the joy I normally feel when gaming. Yeah, I know there are options to purchase "retail style packages", but I know that even buying a $40 or $60 package isn't going to stop them from intrusively asking for more money at every turn.

In all serious though, the kids love it. It has the hearts and minds of the most desirable market for however long that will last. Probably another year and it will be something else. Anyone want to buy my fidget spinner collection? I flipped my old Xbox One S into a Switch today and actually have thought about downloading it, but I have no desire to learn the building controls.
