Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

My X1X will not turn on by controller, and when I push the power button manually, it takes about 3 tries. Also, it boots up like I’m in power saver mode every time (I’m not). Any suggestions? I’ve done the basics (power-cycling, changing startup settings etc). Thanks!

Just checked Microsoft Rewards and saw that we can gift points to family members. It appears that it has to be an Xbox account that has used Microsoft Rewards in the past (haven't used my son's in forever, but there's 17 points waiting to be gifted), and you are limited to 5,000 points a month to gift, but this is finally a work around the direct deposit that has plagued us for so long.
Where is this option? I've got points to transfer!

Edit: I found it. Sucks only 5000 can be transferred a month. It's going to take me at least 7 months to transfer just the points I have now.

I believe today is the last day to redeem bing points for the 25% off promotion they are running on the xbox gift card. I had enough to get Mega Man 11 free next month. Now if only I can figure out if the copy for sale on the microsoft store is a physical copy or digital code.
Unless the game is a code in a box, I don't think there's a digital code. Buying a game digitally should add it directly to your account. The easiest way to determine if you're looking at physical or digital is to search for the title. If it says "Game" under the title, that's a digital copy. If it says "Device", it's a physical copy, which you can verify on the product page under the Preorder button, it'll say your zip code.

Unless you hate having to pop in the disc to play, there's no reason not to go physical here since you get free shipping.

Just recently made tier 11 in Forza rewards, not enough time to get to tier 12. I’m leaving rewards in the table by not having played FM6 Apex on PC or FM2 back in the day. I’ve taken a solid chunk out of Horizon 2 since it went GWG.

Got three I'm not going to use as well.

97CMG-VXPJJ-4YJVV-CXDWJ-P4KK?
97CMH-DTDMP-X77XV-2T39R-Q43D?
97CMJ-7PRX7-J9THD-TKVJK-P3V4?

Last character is the last letter of the alphabet.

Was about to redeem but realized I won’t play much this weekend. Thank you for posting them

Thanks neoz, the last two were lurked but I'm probably in the same situation as RPK and would only get to play a few rounds.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey started pre downloading. It's 45GB.

The loyalty rewards for FH4 have been announced. Shirts for prior games, a horn, an emote and a chat phrase for tiers up to 10, then cars for 11 and 12. Also cars for having played FH3 and FM7. No mention if anything is exclusive. I'm already Tier 10, outside chance at 11 before release, but looks like I may not need worry.

https://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/wir_9_14_18

They're also adding Tier 13 when FH4 releases.
I don't understand these Shirts and other gimmicks. What happened to just getting sweet cars for being loyal??

LOL. So we can expect a sale on Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 60 days?

Looks like it's back to stockpiling MS Rewards points, the new hot deal is Skype credit. Unless you want to make a double donation to one of various charities.

I don't understand these Shirts and other gimmicks. What happened to just getting sweet cars for being loyal??
Maybe because a lot of people can buy most cars after a couple weeks worth of rewards.

The table with reward payouts also doesn't have FM4 or FH1, I wonder if they're retiring support for those games. The payouts for FM4 still work, but while I've been getting the messages in FH1, I haven't been able to download the credits. Or maybe they didn't include them because they're only getting one tenth of the credits of the XB1 games.

LOL. So we can expect a sale on Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 60 days?
That's what it looks like. The surprising thing is that's the week before Thanksgiving, so it's not counting down to Black Friday.

Amazon pre-order links for FF games show that FFX-X2, FFXII, and World of FF will all be getting physical releases. Nice to know they are getting full support in terms of publishing and retail presence.

Doubt that VII or IX will get physical releases, since they didn't on PS4.

WoFF comes out in November, so you may be good on that if you planned on getting it. Since they are discontinuing GCU and there aren't release dates yet, I wouldn't be surprised if they engage in some fuckery and don't list them til then to avoid people getting discounts.

Will be interesting to see the price point on this. This version includes some extra characters supposedly. I purchased the original PS4 version on Black Friday shortly after its released and greatly enjoyed it. The battle system is a bit simplistic but fun, the chibi verisons of characters are charming, the story is not too shabby for a fanservice type of game and it does feel a tad bit like the FF games of old in 3D form. Would love to see this game get a sequel and would not be surprised if it does if the Xbox and Switch versions perform well.

Any stark differences with SotTR?
I've been playing some of Shadow and to me it is very familiar to Rise, though I have read there is less combat and more puzzles this time around.

It was actually a very questionable purchase on my part, since I didn't really enjoy Rise. Don't know what I was thinking when I placed the pre-order; likely got caught up in the E3 hype. The three things that irk me about this series are 1) the puzzles 2) the amount of backtracking required to access blocked areas once you have new gear and 3) the need to constantly use Survival Instincts to highlight loot, craftable items, traps etc.

I agree that 1) is totally my fault in that puzzles are what Tomb Raider is all about, and I have seen some people argue that Survival Instincts is almost cheating and that purists don't even use it. I don't know, knowing it's there I can't help but use it, I just wish objects would be highlighted in my normal vision rather than having to push down on the thumbstick every 10 steps. I'll stick with the game though, and try to at least finish the main storyline. I hear it's only about 12-15 hours and does have some terrific moments.

I have 4 Blackout beta codes I don't need. Let me know if you guys need one.

EDIT: All code have been given out.

It’s actually $39.99 currently on Amazon so not too bad.

I loved TR and only liked RoTR. Like you, Rise had too many puzzles and back tracking for me. Some where in between TR and RoTR would have been perfect but I'll still play Shadow.

I have 3 Blackout codes to give out. Hit me up via PM.

Edit: 2 codes left up for grabs.

Edit 2: Just one code left.

Edit 3: Strike through of first edit.
