If anyone here is into shmups, I highly recommend Hyper Sentinel. It's a game I'll admit to glossing over initially, but played it as apart of #IndieXmas2018 earlier in the month. Definitely a recent favorite of mine and still go back to it trying to knock out the rest of the achievements.

Might check out Infinite Adventures. Haven't heard of it before, but might put it on the list for a future purchase. Bit of a salty price point.
 
Can’t believe Eurogamer picked Tetris Effect as it’s GOTY. I mean I have it and enjoy it but in the end ... it’s Tetris with pretty graphics and cool music. Sooooo many better choices. Heck, Celeste is a far better choice.

Pac-man CE was a bigger evolution of a classic game than Tetris Effect is.

I have 999 games on my HDD with another 200 something in the ready to install list. There is no clearing my backlog at this point, I'm just buying games for the possibilty of playing them someday.

Why didn't anyone tell me I could just play Halo 3 ODST on gamepass? I don't have gamepass by could just get a free month or whatever the trial is and then play and beat it without spending five bucks on it.

I have 303 on my Xbox One X and a 4tb external. Switching to a 8tb soon. I bought one for $127 on black friday. Then I'll use the 4tb for my 280 games on PS4

It's true that I've never seen a paid game disappear, but it did happen with PT on PS4. It cannot be downloaded anymore. I've carefully moved the game over to new hard drives so I don't lose it.

For many of us, we have everything installed so the games are instantly accessible. I never know if my mood will change for what I want to play and I don't have to worry about downloading a game. This is even more important for those of us that live in areas with horrible internet with the average game being 30gb, quite a few of mine are 100gb.

Having them installed also lets me keep and eye out for Xbox One X enhancement patches

 
I have both Hitman games for Xbox One and cant figure out why I can’t get the legacy pack unlocked in part 2. And yes I did but the Hitman 1 definitive edition and redeemed the code. When i try to go through the game menu to redeem it then it leads me to purchase it from the Microsoft store and says it’s not available.
 
I made a stupid rookie mistake. I got the family an Xbox for Xmas and my daughter was given a digital copy of Minecraft Master Collection. Being new to Xbox I carelessly applied the codes against my account and now my daughter doesn't have access to Starter Pack, Creators Pack DLC and 1000 coins. Can this be fixed?

You could make whichever Xbox your daughter plays on your Home Xbox then she'd have access to all your stuff on it. Otherwise your only option is to contact Xbox support.

All this talk of hard drive coincides with me wanting to upgrade to an 8TB for my X ... but instead I just deleted a bunch of games I won't be playing anytime soon. Can always reinstall them later.

I just have a touch of OCD for some reason about wanting to install All. The. Games.

I got distracted while going through the sales and made pleasant discoveries. Rock of Ages 2 is on Xbox and I already own it! Which means instead of an announced date night game, Rock of Ages 2 is the giveaway.

I have been waiting for the complete edition to go on sale on the ps3 foreverrrrrrrrrrrrr

was literally just pondering this when I read your post. I think I'll buy it on the 360 and hope its epilogue dlc randomly goes on sale like we have been seeing a little bit more of recently compared to the past

now that ps plus is about done with ps3 games in their free lineup it looks like it makes more sense now than ever and i might check it off the list

so few games left for me to collect on the older systems there is no real reason to worry about a couple bucks this late in the collecting

one advantage the 360 version has over ps3 is it is backwards compatible on xb1 :D

i feel like this should be below $5 at this point. the $7.99 price still has me hesitating.

If I have to wake up my kids at 2am on Christmas morning to open presents before I go to work at 4am, someone at MS can log in remotely and update the gamepass games, dammit! Just kidding, I don't wish working on holidays on anyone since I know how bad it can suck.

Or you have Comcast and a monthly data cap. I usually hit around 700-800 GB a month so thought about downloading Quantum Break since it was the 30th. Ten minutes later I got an email that I was over 90% of my monthly usage meaning I had less than 100GB available. Maybe next month.

The game got a lot of hate when it released, but I loved the hell out of it. Only complaint is the ending, which I hear is fixed with the epilogue dlc. I waited so long for the dlc to go on sale, that I lost interest when it finally did(I think just once long ago). One of the few games where the AI partner helps instead of hinders.

You can try Pheran's suggestion to make the new xbox your home, but I just wanted to add that most times currency doesn't share so she may be out that 1000 coins. Note that changing your home xbox will require you to be online on your xbox to access purchases, the home xbox has offline privileges.

Support should be able to take them off your account and give you credit to buy them on her's.

I didn’t know it was 7.99 but I still think it’s worth it. It’s a wonderful game. I was hesitant about it when it came out but incredibly surprised how good the story and gameplay was. If you have the money for it, I think you might regret not getting it. If I can get enough ms points for another $5 gift card, I might get it just to have it digitally.

I feel like Comcast is racing EA to that Worst Company trophy constantly. Just moved back into the city a few months ago, wife signed us up for Xfinity. Didn't complain because the other option was Frontier's slow as hell but still fiber. We're not told about a data cap. Imagine that shocker after a weekend of Netflix binging and game downloading

They do it like that on purpose. Go ahead and buy something good so it'll show up on Gamepass this month for the rest of us.
 
My New Year's resolution is to finish more game pass games before they leave. Since Injustice left the service(was in GP for a year), makes me realize games I own(physically and digitally) aren't going anywhere. So titles like LiS: Before the Storm, Hellblade, Observer, Disneyland Adventures, Snake Pass & Hitman will be started this month. Toning down my daily play of Gears 4 and Dead Cells to focus on those game pass titles!!!
 
Disneyland Adventures is MS though so it will likely be on GP for however long they licensed the brand.

Seems they have gone to staggered releases throughout the month instead of dropping everything on us at once.

Which makes sense as they've touted the increased exposure being good for games that join gamepass. It's probably easier to say to game companies hey we'll give you your own release day instead of getting buried under 9 other games.

They didn't tell us when it was added either. Found out when I got an email stating I had used one of my three free pass months. That was 2013. Moved in 2014 several states away that was also comcast. No mention of a cap, but knew to check for one. Still only have two free pass months. I guess you never get them back. Ever.

I believe Rime had been counting down to the end of Dec and I kept my eye on it as it's a game I eventually want to play but it didn't get added to the leaving soon for December.

 
Almost forgot to get Darkstalkers Resurrection! Also got Jeremy McGrath Off-road and SSX 3

I read in this thread somebody really liked Hyper Sentintel, it’s been under under $2 on PS4 for a few sales straight, thanks for the push for me to buy!

FF XIII and FF XIII-2 at $4.99 each in-store at GameStop!
