Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.
[*]ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...

Update...
The cauliflower pizza crust was pretty good. A little gritty texture wise but not bad.
make it at home next time, pretty easy to do and you can add more shit to it to help balance it out.

We love bajed cauliflower in our house so we’ve taken to making it different ways. When we made the pizza crust I swear half of it was parmesan cheese.

Glad to hear you liked it

Anyone know what’s enhanced about Conker Live and Reloaded for X? It says it’s enhanced on the store site, but it’s not in the comprehensive list on Wikipedia detailing what is enhanced exactly.

While the post has flaws, it is not completely wrong and not so far out there that it doesn't warrant more than criticism without correction or another point of view. If you're going to tell someone their way of thinking is ignorant and they have no idea what they're talking about but then not provide your own point of view or at least a reason for the critique of theirs, your comment becomes pointless and is just name calling.
It's not name calling. It's not opinion. It's fact that his post is counter to known economic principles that rule market pricing. His argument is in fact exactly opposite of how the market works. Someone doesn't need a PhD to understand this. Any Econ 101 class would suffice.

I guess the trailer advertising Battlefront 2 was mistaken.  The Xbox Live multiplayer support is still switched off and MS has no plans to enable it.  So with a game like this where the main appeal is online multiplayer.  You have to ask, why bother with it then?

All OG Xbox games are enhanced, in that they run at 16x the original resolution. Nothing fancy like the 360 'enhanced' games, but still an upgrade/enhancement for the X1X compared to the standard hardware.

Your responses are like running up to someone who is begging on the street and yelling, "GET A JOB, LOSER!" Maybe that is the right thing to say to that particular beggar, but I venture to guess that you haven't attempted to understand the person or are really trying to help them in any way. Even assuming your premise it entirely correct (which I question how correct it is), how do you know the person you're talking to doesn't need education or how do you know they understand Econ 101? Perhaps it's someone you could enlighten. If you're not going to try to help them or try to debate them, why engage them at all?

dunno if anyone has posted about it yet but make sure to uninstall edge on mobile and go through the rewards page to reinstall it for your accounts for another 500 points per account for installing

and bumps 100 back up to 200 a day for mobile searches
just a reminder for anyone that may have missed it while scrolling quickly

I feel what you're glossing over is the initial poster's childish and aggressive attitude out if the gate. If we want to use your beggar situation, it would be more like the beggar running up to people and screaming at them that because they work at X company that they're robbing him of working at Y company and they're ruining his life when it has nothing to do with where they work.

Also I have stated that digital games were sold to us as a cheaper alternative to physical, even new release. That has not happened. If you price check physical games when they have cheaper prices at various retailers, you can often find the digital game at shockingly higher prices. Of which this has been explained before and I'm sure other posters are quite tired of having to keep saying.

Honestly, why is there any kind of argument when the original starter of this was acting like a 6 year old when his profile says he's 47? There should be no more bs over this because all CAGs are here to find deals on their passionate hobby, regardless of format\console\genre, and not be attacked by a whiny man child with zero understanding of the very thing he's bitching about.

Hmm. I’m not seeing it on the rewards page. Is it easy to find and I’m just missing it? Or does it take 24 hours to populate?
mine was there last night

at first it shows up as a 5 point thing that you click and it says install edge for 500 points

need to uninstall edge and get to rewards with a different browser then click it, install, follow the prompts and you end up getting 500 points in the end after you do 10 searches

I have to imagine it was a total sales graveyard. Kindle and iTunes pretty much dominate ebook sales and use, and it doesn't integrate into the dashboard the way movies and TV do.

I did that edge browser thing yesterday and read it as the bing app again and deleted it before I realized when the page took me to the app store that it was a different app.

Then it gave me the 200 per day but I couldn’t get the 10 searches to activate the 500 points so a few hours later I figured I’d switch it to desktop mode and do the 10 and that worked.

Didn’t realize Operencia was out. Getting solid reviews. Downloading now. Thank you GamePass.
Played it at PAX and thought it was very interesting. The demo didn't really tell any of the story but the gameplay was fun if you like turn based combat. The on rails movement took some getting used to but after 15 minutes it was fine. It also looked great on whatever they were running on.

I have to admit, the gamepass quests and app are genius. I would never dive that deep into the catalog to download 4 motorcycle games last night before bed or even check out some of the games I am because of them. Big value add. Some get deleted after doing the quest but some are nice finds.

What I like is that I end up checking out games I might not have because I didn't know or see before. And yeah I can delete them with no regrets, minus the hit to my stupid data cap

I couldn’t imagine having a data cap. That would be miserable.
First time having one, didn't even know we had one when signing up until our first overage warning. Last month was terrible, bought an X1X and new external drive as my old drive went kaput. Slowly installing and adding games back while also trying to make sure Netflix\Hulu didn't run us over was crazy. And I failed. 5GB over lol

Looking at this month's game pass quests, I don't think I'm going to bother downloading anything except for the dungeon crawler from the Pinball FX guys.

Amazon has a promo to get a free 3 month game pass code with the purchase of a 3 month code for $29.99.  1 free promo code per account.

I THINK physical MS Stores have the same promo, plus they give you a cool looking SteelBook.

I'm kind of tired of them doing quests for new releases the month after it launches to discourage people from bothering with their new additions. They should add quests as big things are released on Game Pass.

For any Mortal Kombat fans around here, Game Informer’s cover story for this month is Mortal Kombat 11. They typically have a lot of great exclusive content. Tomorrow they will post a rapid fire interview with Ed Boon.

I have to imagine it was a total sales graveyard. Kindle and iTunes pretty much dominate ebook sales and use, and it doesn't integrate into the dashboard the way movies and TV do.
I guess I'll have to give up on getting the opportunity to have Cortana read me bedtime stories...

I'm thankful this thread has economics professors to explain supply and demand, and by explain I mean shout that the other guy is wrong.

Yeah, and they already released a gameplay trailer for one of the new characters, Cetrion. She looks and plays similar to Poison Ivy and Swam Thing from Injustice 2 as well as having some moves akin to Tremor from MKX. She's apparently an Elder God that can manipulate all the elements.

Her fatality is awesome though (a bit of a nod to Jax's preposterous fatality from MK3 in which he turns into a giant).

That Openecia game is pretty bad. Spent 10 minutes fumbling with the awkward on rails controls trying to solve a stupid mirror puzzle that could easily be solved in a minute in any other game. Not to mention the dull turn based combat, not that I dislike turn based, but this version brings nothing new to the table. Noped right out of that game. Did not care for Zen's mini golf game either, or that weird castle game. They should stick to what they do best.

Yeah...it's not good. I played it to get the gamepass quest and unlocked 3 achievements, only got credit for one. Happens everytime with my GamePass quests.

I've been wanting to buy and predownload Borderlands for tomorrow when someone on Reddit made a point I didn't think about. With the date announcement tomorrow, I wonder if they may possibly give BL1 as a preorder incentive. Either way, I'm buying BL1 tomorrow.

I’m actually really liking Operencia so far. Combat is far more interesting than most of these types of games with lots of variation, different status effects and strategy involved. Nice easy to understand in-depth statistical displays and enjoy the artwork as well.

Have to agree with the positive reviews it’s been getting (82 currently on Metacritic). Only thing I don’t like is the on-rails movement but sure I’ll get used to it.

That would get me to pre-order bl3 for sure.
I’m too deep in Division 2 right now to buy bl1 right now, but I do want it, figured I’d wait a bit anyway.

I’m sick of this too. Every time a batch of new games drop on Gamepass, I wait until the next group of reward quests to pop up. It’s frustrating because some of those games I really want to play but there’s no way to know if I play them I might miss some points.

That would be cool. I wondered why they dropped the ball on pre-orders for it. Of course, that's going to cause a lot of confusion and complaints if they allow people to buy it 1st thing and then announce a way they could have gotten it free a little later that day, so it doesn't seem too plausible.

I guess the trailer advertising Battlefront 2 was mistaken. The Xbox Live multiplayer support is still switched off and MS has no plans to enable it. So with a game like this where the main appeal is online multiplayer. You have to ask, why bother with it then?
I don't know, I put a good amount of time into the Battlefront games when they were current and wasn't playing online. Plenty of bot support and split-screen is fun. They both have a campaign mode as well, even if they are limited. Honestly a large portion of the MUST PLAY original games are already BC (KotOR 1 and 2, Jade Empire, Panzer Dragoon, Ninja Gaiden, Morrowind), or they were natively ported like Halo and Phantom Dust, so anything else is gravy in my opinion.

It's pretty clear that Disney did a mass approval of Star Wars stuff since almost every game was made BC. With the limited number of Xbox Prime games being brought over I'm fine if one big license leads to a good chunk of games.

I just hope they go down the road of the more obscure exclusives even if they aren't remembered as well, like Gun Valkyrie and some of the other Sega stuff.

The way they made it sound the Handsome Collection update is going to be a texture pack dlc. Would that still require the page update? I'm really just hoping for a sale tbh.

Finally a chronicle of what was going on at Bioware during Anthem's development, including confirmation that Dragon Age 4 was completely cancelled and restarted from scratch. This somehow sounds worse than everything that happened at Bungie during Destiny 1's development, and seemingly confirms suspicions that at least the leads at the studio weren't looking at the landscape to learn from the mistakes of Destiny and The Division. Apparently the gameplay was originally going to be focused primarily on survival when leaving the safe areas rather than grinding for loot, which would put it MUCH more in line with the multiplayer modes from their previous games. Flight was not considered a core mechanic in full for much longer than you would expect.

The read is long as hell but pretty interesting. Definitely worth it if you have even a passing interest in the game, Bioware, or the industry.

Yeah me too. I was never really interested in replaying Borderlands 2 until they announced the free enhancements.

$10 would be nice but it'll probably be $15 like every other time it goes on sale.

If there's no sale I might cave and just buy it from BB or GS where it's $15 right now.
