I'm going to second what pretty much everyone else has said. After spending some time with Crackdon 3 yesterday, I would not pay $60 (or probably even $30) for the game. However, being a part of Game Pass, it is the perfect little time waster when you don't want anything super deep. It is almost the equivaent of watching a Michael Bay movie after watching a big, thematic epic or something. 

 
Finished TWD S3 with the GF and we immediately bought the final season, glad it's going to get finished.

More time with Crackdown 3, I find it oddly addictive. It's just popcorn or pretzels in game form. Compared to the original, there's way more to do, every ~100 feet there's a new location to liberate/destroy/etc and the verticality is way better than the original. I wouldn't spend more than $20 out of pocket for it but for being included with Game Pass, it's very solid.

 
Yeah, super addicted to Crackdown 3 already. Stayed up way later than I’d planned chasing orbs. I hear that orb tone in my sleep now.
 
I keep meaning to download Crackdown 3 from GamePass, but every time i fire up the system I find myself going straight to playing more Forza Horizon 4 instead.

Glad I don't trust game review sites. Hadn't used my 3 month game pass yet from the bing rewards thing in November. Used it and downloaded Crackdown 3. Loved the first and this one is better. Plenty to do as far as I can see and the city is pretty. If this were a PS4 exlusive, would average a 7.5 to 8.0 with the general consensus being it is big dumb action movie fun.
 
Glad people are enjoying Crackdown 3. It was never going to be a masterpiece and that’s just fine. Some games are just meant to have fun and it succeeds in spades.
 
Crackdown3 seems like a cartoony version of just cause 3/4 and in a good way.Played about 2-3 hrs of crackdown3 and so far it's good to kill them baddies but oof so many orbs to collect.
 
Okay now I won an Apex Legends match on Xbox, 2 kills and this time I didn’t get carried, this game is fun. Tried Bangalore for the first time.

Still loving CD 3. I have 1 more boss to take out and then orb cleanup. Seriously, this game is fun, and it reminds me of how much fun the 360 was when the 1st one came out. Don't listen to the poison well of interweb hacks reviewing this game. It's a mindless escape like old games of the past.

Completed the TA Hangman challenge.  22 letters, 10 unique.  I figured it out after the 2nd letter, but misjudged the requirements on a FM6 achievement and unlocked a stray letter.

 
As far as the price goes, I have put a solid 3 days into this already, and if MS imroves the multiplayer aspect it may totally be worth $60 new. With the gamepass discount, I think it should be $48....I may bite before it leaves. I'm interested in what MS does to keep the games content up to date.
 
Apparently you can no longer call about digital refunds. The rep frustratingly insisted using the site and said there is literally nowhere to transfer my call.

My buddy has had that on every phone for years. Personally, I’ve stuck with the Vergil tone from Halo: ODST since right after that came out and Bungie posted it on their site. I love nerdy tones and notifications.

Completed the Fortune Island achievements for FH4.  Taking that Peel through the forest was like the speeder bike scene in Return of the Jedi.

 
Have you ever had a moment where a game that previously angered you finally clicked, and you found yourself enjoying it?  I finally figured out what the hell is going on in Don't Starve: Giant Edition today.  I'm proud of myself for staying alive in the game for 3 days without using a wiki to explain the game mechanics.  I still like Crashlands better, but there isn't an Xbox One version of that game.

When did zombies become so eloquent? You put that so succinctly. Everyone saying Crackdown is better than it's rated didn't pay one cent for it - everyone's playing it on Game Pass. I don't like ballet or NASCAR, but if tickets were comped for me, I'm sure I could find some fun in them.

36gb. Plenty of crashes and disconnects, apparently this is final build but they're not doing the day 1 patch until the 22nd, which will probably cost them a fair number of sales. Things are better, but there's so many annoying things. I hate the city, having to talk to everyone is a chore which shouldn't be the case. The gameplay itself is still very fun. Somehow I'm level 12 and haven't found a single sniper rifle.

I have MS credit expiring on the 22nd and 23rd. Nothing in the less than one day countdown appeals to me but I’m intrigued by the 3 day countdown on those Mega Man titles. Does a countdown likely mean a sale? Or can it mean pretty much anything?

I disagree with this. There are plenty of gems you can have fun with on GamePass, but there is a fair amount of garbage titles that I would not get any enjoyment out of despite the fact they are "free." I feel that your example doesn't work either. I have turned down free tickets to concerts, events, etc. because they are events I would not enjoy, whether I had to pay anything for the tickets or not. There are still better uses for my time.

Had I paid $60 for Crackdown 3, I would probably have wished I had chosen a deeper story-based game, but I would still find a good bit to enjoy in Crackdown 3. I honestly feel that if the game had come out on the PS4, it would got somewhere between 7.5 and 8.5 from most critics.

We have a sale opening up Thursday night for the anime deals. That's where the 3 day countdowns are heading, including Mega Man.
 
So for those of you that have played Anthem, is the single player stuff similar to Destiny or is it more substantial and laid out more like other games? While I enjoy Desitny to a degree I just feel like there's so little geared for solo play when compared to MP. It's like one out of every ten NPCs I go talk to have something useful for me.
 
I saw Alita tonight, and I am kind of surprised that everyone here that mentioned seeing it liked it and thought it was good (at least as far as I saw). I don't mind if a movie doesn't wrap everything up at the end, but that cliffhanger was unsatisfying in a Halo 2 kind of way. And I also felt like it could have delved a bit more into the lore of the world and its backstory.

Compare it with something like The Matrix, which also doesn't end with the enemy completely defeated. But at least The Matrix was satisfying. When the movie starts you're in the dark as to what's going on, but the movie nearly fully explains what's going on in its world. The only thing that they don't answer (and don't really need to) is who fired first, man or machine. Smith is also built up quite well as an antagonist, so it's great when Neo explodes him into little bits at the end and the other agents hightail it out of there. You don't really need to watch the sequels to enjoy The Matrix.

Alita doesn't really do any of that. You get a tiny fraction of what must be a huge backstory that you will have to see the sequels to understand, and it just kind of fizzles out at the end without a satisfying conclusion. Lots of it was predictable, and I didn't feel like anything in the final battles of the movie was any threat to her. I walked out feeling like I just watched half a movie.

The only positives I have are that the fights looked cool and it had nice visuals. I also didn't completely hate it or anything, so if it ever becomes a fully fleshed out trilogy I could see myself getting back into it to see the full story. But viewing this as a standalone movie, it felt incomplete and just kind of average. Imagine if instead of the way Infinity War ended, they had the credits roll as soon as Thanos showed up on earth, and you saw his journey cut short right before getting the final stone. That's how Alita felt to me. And at least with Infinity War ending with more story to tell, you KNOW another movie will be on its way. I can't see myself ever buying or rewatching Alita if it doesn't perform well enough to merit one or two sequels to finish the story.

I’ve finally reached the point where I look at the list of Lego games going on sale tomo and I have no idea which ones I own vs which I need to buy still...
 
Rolled the credits on the legendary play through of Crackdown 3, some of those bosses can be brutal but a few exploits out there. Now it's time to really begin collecting orbs and doing races. Completion is going to have some crazy TA ratio for contests, another blessing of Game Pass.

... Single player? Does not compute. The conversations, you know they eventually will go somewhere so you feel obligated to do them. I flat out hate some of the NPCs and their voices which makes them more of a chore. But the in the field is fun with it mitigates the shit. But not the load times. I'm considering an SSD just for this.

I see why they call it CRACKdown, it is addiciting!! This and FH4 is well worth game pass, what big game is next on GP?

 
I've won three rounds of Apex so far. I'm still having fun with it but will probably take a break until the battle pass comes out and how they handle that will probably determine how often I play.

I really wish there was some sort of penalty for people that leave early, besides missing out on xp. I've had multiple people that have been killed and disconnect even though they can be revived no problem. The last round I played someone got downed and disconnected and then my other squad mate disconnected I'm assuming because they didn't want to continue as a two person squad.
