Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Anyone with Telltale games for the X1 or x360 should take the time to read the thread below to prevent any disappointment in the future. In a nutshell, some content is already gone forever if you didn't previously download it, other content will be gone forever in another 11 days, and the rest is on the death-watch list in my opinion. This applies to both disk and digital copies. The details and exceptions are numerous and can be found by reading the thread.

Again, it doesn't matter if you have these in your 'purchased' list or not. If the files are not physically on your xbox when some of these games go away, you're screwed. This is not a typical delisting situation. Best bet is to download any episodes you can today, now, while you still can.

Ultimate Telltale Delisting Guide- What Works, Delistings, Workarounds, Download Links

https://www.trueachievements.com/forum/viewthread.aspx?tid=1109761&page=1

My long-term plan is to move the Telltale game files to an old 3.5" hard drive via external USB enclosure, and keep them on a shelf for long-term storage without consuming my day-to-day 2.5" drives. I doubt I would replay most of them again anyway, but it won't take long to set this up so I might as well.
I think that some of the discs aren't "season pass discs" but actually have all the content on them. Most of TWD games, I think Guardians of the Galaxy, and Borderlands have all 5 episodes on the disc. Anything labeled a 'season pass' disc is dependent on downloads from the internet, like Batman.

Unreal Tournament 3 has been added to XBL for purchase and it's only $10 instead of the standard $20 most releases go for:

https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-CA/Product/Unreal-Tournament-3/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d5707db
Just a heads-up for achievement hunters. I 100%ed the game a long time ago. There are 2 achievements which will quite take a while, the "Get a Life" Achievement which requires you to play Multiplayer on 50 different days and get 200 kills each of these days. and also the "Ranked Champion" Achievement which requires you to win 500 Ranked Matches..the MP was almost dead back then in 2011, soo I could be kinda hard to get that done..

I can understand this issue in the cases where a disc or season pass acts as a 'key' that allows you to purchase the episodes for $0. When they get delisted, they can no longer be purchased, so this no longer works. It's unfortunate and it sucks, but I understand it on a technical level and can accept it.

What I cannot accept is the removal of the capability to download already purchased content, as long as the store/service as a whole remains online. This is an anti-consumer practice that sets a horrible precedent and nobody should be OK with it. I absolutely encourage anyone who owns a game that ends up in this state to request a refund on the grounds that your access to the content has been removed, whether you've played the game or not. This practice threatens the entire integrity of the digital storefront model, and Microsoft shouldn't be OK with it either.

The MS Rewards daily set was a bit messed up earlier in the day.  The news quiz was a repeat from last week, so if you did it earlier, it may not have counted.  The quiz has updated with a new set of questions and I was able to complete the daily set.

This isn't acceptable either though, and is not something that is unavoidable on a technical level. If I recall correctly from having the first Batman Telltale on disc, the disc takes you to a separate special page to access the additional episodes, and it's not the same page that you get if you buy them digitally.

I have never messed with this but see in the app I have not started it. I got two achievements in Metro Exodus today and 3 yesterday. Not sure if any of these are counting towards the 10. Any way to see how many it is giving you credit for earning towards the 10? Also when I look at the list of eligible games I don't see Metro Exodus. Thanks
Yes, it does show how many achievements it's counted. Go into the "Achievement Hunter" quest and you'll see two panels on the right. The last line on the first panel states "Current status 0/10."

If you earned achievements before the quest went live, no they won't. Must be earned after the quest has been activated
This particular quest doesn't have to be activated as it already is.

Still not seeing metro Exodus on the list. So guess the two from earlier today won't count.

Oh well.

Thanks

ETA: I finally figured it out. The quest with Metro Exodus doesn't start until the 23rd. I will likely finish the game over the weekend. Perhaps if there are a couple of easy to get ones I missed I will go back.
Double check what you're reading because mine says it ends on 06/23. As for Metro Exodus, it is the first game pictured when I view eligible games. There are supposed to be 10 which I have listed. Which game does your list show?

They've also added another Quest for Mixer. Watch E3 on Mixer for 50 pts. I can't seem to get it to work. It might be the same one from a few days ago.

Edit - Got it to sorta work but when it tries to go to Mixer it can't find it but it did check off each one as I tried to go to Mixer and got my 50 pts.

There is also 5 pts to try FH4 Lego expansion but it takes you to a web page and doesn't give you the 5 points.

The MS Rewards daily set was a bit messed up earlier in the day. The news quiz was a repeat from last week, so if you did it earlier, it may not have counted. The quiz has updated with a new set of questions and I was able to complete the daily set.
Thanks for updating me on my girlfrie- I mean, all-consuming waste of time.

I used the PROMO3 coupon to buy Dishonored: Definitive Edition for $5.

Looks like he has one copy of Dishonored left ($8 before discount): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dishonored-Definitive-Edition-Game-Card-for-Xbox-One-X1/323203979417

He also has Alan Wake ($7.50 before discount): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Alan-Wake-Signal-Writer-Expansions-Card-for-Xbox-360-One/323335117035

Maybe other stuff too, but those were the two that caught my eye.

His description says he ships by USPS but after I bought the game he offered to send me the code via email. I got it and redeemed it, no problems.

Yes, it does show how many achievements it's counted. Go into the "Achievement Hunter" quest and you'll see two panels on the right. The last line on the first panel states "Current status 0/10."

This particular quest doesn't have to be activated as it already is.

Thanks finally figured it out properly. I got credit for 1 of the 2 achievements I earned earlier this morning. Perhaps it is slow giving me credit for the 2nd one. Anyway thanks for the help.

What’s everyone playing this weekend? I need some backlog inspiration.
I'm going through Game Pass games, just in case they decide to remove some in the future. Dead by Daylight with friends, and Metro Exodus when I'm solo.

With all these GP games, I was thinking about getting an external HD. Any opinions if an SSD external for an OG XB1 (not an S, not an X) would be worthwhile over a regular (non-SSD) external hard drive? The only reason I was leaning towards SSD is for future-proofing, so that I can use it on Scarlett, too, when the time comes.

I have the OG Xbox One, and an external SSD and external HDD. Yes, there is a noticeable difference loading games from my SSD compared to the HDD.

Sweet. Thanks! Was worried about spending the extra money if there wasn't a noticeable difference.

No worries, that's what we're here for. It can take a few days for you to receive credit.

I was thinking Shenmue or anything to finish the quests. To be honest, GP Quests actually keeps me from working on my backlog because I'm jumping from one game to another to complete them.

FF9, slowly but surely. May switch it up to a different style of game w/ one of the Game Pass quests, since FF9 is going to take me 6 weeks to finish.
6 weeks? that's ambitious but then I haven't played it yet so I have no idea how long it is. It's been on my backlog since PS1. After FFVII, I went back to the beginning and stopped at FFIII (FFVI) and went on to other RPGs for the PS1.

You'll be able to use it no matter what going forward. I would look at it as load times vs storage space. I've had the same 4tb external through my VCR model to an X and I'm finally getting close to filling thanks to game pass. I moved Dauntless and Warframe to my ssd to get more value from my playtime.

Tldr, there's no rush. Wait for a great deal to come along. And you might end up with both like me.

I don’t know if anyone has Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 on the 360, but the episodes are relisted so you can download them from in game.

Probably going through the Curve Digital titles that I bought from last week's bundle deals. Might also download Fallout 76 while the free weekend is happening. I keep trying to play Monster Hunter World, but it is quite a slog to get through. I think it would be great if you could go from completing one hunt to another without having to go back to the hub in that game. And I play Gonner and Spelunky on PC everyday to post on the leaderboards. Spelunky didn't have a leaderboard on Xbox 360, and the one in the Xbox One version of Gonner is broken. I need to email the devs about that, but I'm too lazy.

Was thinking about starting quantum break with gampepass but think I'm going to try and knock out the shadow of mordor DLC so I can get rid of the disc.

Maybe also play a bit of world war z. It's the first game in a while (not on release day) I've played shortly after purchasing. It was fun but just did quick match and think I started with the last mission so we had a tough time since I didn't really know what I was doing.

This is one time where I really hope piracy will run rampant with these games. If you're going to take back people's purchases because you can't make deals to ensure that the downloads are still available to those who rightfully bought them, then you deserve no sympathy. Can't believe how absolutely despicable Telltale turned out to be in the end.

I'm still going after some achievements in the Magic the Gathering XBO game and hopping onto Battlefront II

Just started 'Life is Strange' for the Rewards points. Can't wait to start Guacamelee 2

One day I'll go back and try to finish 'The Witcher 3'

Metro Exodus on XBox One for sure.

Hope to get to FH4 Lego DLC

Probably Telletale's The Walking Dead final season. Wife likes to watch me play that series.

Maybe some Borderlands. Time permitting. Also if a friend of mine is looking to play.

Borderlands 2 new DLC on PS4 and/or XBox One.

Borderlands remastered DLC on PS4.

2 New Quests have been added:

ID@Xbox - 2 achievements for 200 pts (18 days left)

Achievement Hunter - 10 achievements for 1000 pts (11 days left)

- Metro Exodus

- Astroneer

- Hollow Knight

- Borderlands: the Handsome Collection

- Guacamelee 2

- Everspace

- Shenmue 1 & 2

- Batman Arkham Knight

- Moonlighter

-The Turing Test
I've been playing Arkham Knight for a couple of days now. I got 4 achievements last night but the app still says 0/10.

Lots of great picks. I started guacamelee 2 last night and it’s great.

Question: are borderlands games worth anything to just play the story? I probably won’t do multiplayer but I know it’s kind of online and loot based. If I wanted to play it before 3, Is the story good stuff and worth it?

To me, the Borderlands story is the best part of the series. Even Tales from the Borderlands will tie into BL3.

I've only really started with Borderlands 2 recently (I heard Borderlands really doesn't have much in the way of story... someone correct me if this is wrong), but Tales from the Borderlands is FANTASTIC and so funny. I hate that they delisted it.

Borderlands story is definitely good and you should play them. The first base game doesn't have much story, but the DLC stories are awesome. The General Knoxx DLC is amazing. TPS is chronologically second and continues the story from 1's DLC. That game is highly underrated. But then 2 picks up after TPS main story and is really good. 2's DLC is epic, though varied enough to still remain fresh. And the new free DLC is the tie-in for BL3, since the others don't really lead into anything.

You have 10 months. Do BL1 main story -> Knoxx DLC -> TPS -> BL2 -> Lilith DLC to get the fully story before 3. The other DLC are all pretty good too if you have the time.

Playing Days Gone this weekend since I'm renting it, and probably doing some of the Game Pass quests.
Need to finally beat Yooka-Laylee too.

Probably getting the first four achievements in Life is Strange (1 down, 3 pictures to go), and then some Disneyland Adventures trying to finish it off (a bit over 80% done with the game, most achievements are ride based now), and some Radical Summer Rocket League. Reaganomics!

haven't been able to in the past and i doubt it's changed.
Thanks. I’ve read boards from different years and there were a couple of times people said they could. I’m about to let mine expire for a bit even though I’m enjoying Battlefield V. I think I’ll bite the bullet on NBA 2K19. I really enjoyed playing the prelude during its free play days.

I played through Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon a couple times this week. Playing the Horde Rush event in Fortnite. Played about 3 or 4 hours of Cadence of Hyrule yesterday. Probably some more Witcher 3 or FF7 this weekend.

Probably going to dig into Hollow Knight some more, played it a bit a few days ago and really liked it so far. Maybe I’ll start Guacamelee 2 now that there’s a quest for it as well - loved the hell out of the first one. And maybe I’ll go play some of the PS4 games I bought from that sale... or I’ll just turn on the system and play Destiny 1 again because that’s what I do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And since my fiancé has been in a weird mood lately, she’ll be playing Stardew Valley, which we just bought for the *third time* so that she could use mods while playing on PC (she loved it on Xbox and we also have the Switch version since that has multiplayer... but neither of those has mods. Oh well).

I'm doing better at Division 2 than I did at the first. I want to like it more than I do, I think it's that cover shooters aren't my thing. It's why I can't do Gears.

Trying to get PC Gamepass to work, it needs some special windows update that doesn't want to install. I want to play Slay the Spire.

I need to play Division 2 more. I just wish it allowed saves mid-mission. Some of them are pretty long and don’t always have time to finish, especially not knowing exactly how long it will take to begin with.

Just bought Cadence of Hyrule, and I'm getting mods ready for a Baldur's Gate and BGII playthrough. But also kinda busy all weekend so... probably nothing

I started with a little black desert, started minnion masters, started gears of war 1, played a few matches on rocket league ( gotta repvthose new 80s items) then started hallow knight.

Started telltale back to the Future this week as well...and I wonder why I don't finish games lol. I try to only have three games started/ playing at once.

I was in San Jose at the Shark Tank when the Penguins won the cup. June 12th 2016 :D/
