Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Finished Rage 2.  I almost Rage quit it at the final boss fight.

On normal the game was pretty easy except this boss fight.

Not sure if I will play some Borderlands 3 since it is free to play.  Or just start Outer Worlds finally.

I really want to buy Borderlands 3 but I don’t trust that the season pass will go on sale, so I’m stuck waiting for a bigger discount on the super deluxe edition

I’ve been thinking about what my favorite games of the year were, since I read the game awards nominees. For me I think Apex Legends would be top. Followed by Borderlands 3, Super Smash Brothers, Outer Worlds, and Yoshi Crafted World. I haven’t played the new CoD or Jedi Fallen Order at all yet and lots of others, I can only mention ones I’ve tried.

There’s definitely some items I’m contemplating in this sale. But I’m definitely disappointed there’s no Plague Tale or World War Z on the digital sales list for Xbox.

this deal really stuck out to me. I'm pretty sure it's an all time low. great value too!
Yup, played the heck outta it on the 360, then won the One version but didn’t replay it that much so I gifted it. It’s been so long that I don’t remember the missions. Was watching my little one play & he’s at the part where Franklin road on the hood of Michaels car chasing his boat. I totally forgot that. Been activating cheat codes just to add extra fun, I don’t remember Super Jump & Invincibility cheats. And they have a bunch of new or new to me online stuff. So $9.89 with the online cash is pretty cool.

Dear Xbox,

I no longer know what i bought, what's game pass, or what's gold. I look at sales and wonder if i have it,if i have it on ps4 as a game i bought or was a PS plus game or if maybe i have it on Steam from Humble Bundle.

I'm also afraid to buy anything because it'll end up on game pass, gold,or ps plus.

I feel this in my soul!

Anybody else get the message for free $5 on Xbox rewards app?
It wasn't free it said you can redeem for a 5.00 gift card but it was 4600 points
I saw it for a split second when I turned on my X1, got all excited then read the message. Someone tell MS it November and not April 1.

I was keeping track of everything on excel until my laptop crashed now I feel you.

RE2 Remake is my GOTY. I really enjoyed Sekiro as well once I actually figured out how to play it decently. I'm set to play Control soon and that has the potential to rank high for me; I've always loved Remedy's games.

I dont doubt RE2 is a good game, but I highly doubt after taking everything into account that a remade survival horror game wins GOTY. I'm looking forwards to getting it next week, but as I said, If a survival horror remake turns out being the GOTY that's really sad.

I dont see how Outer Worlds doesnt win. Its probably the most positively polarizing game I've seen this gen other than Witcher, which I still see people hate on. It has everything; Gameplay, Story, World, Characters, and most importantly charm.

well, I'm only buying editions that have all the dlc's, so even if the base game comes to whatever service, at least I still get value from the dlc's

Whoever in the hell says average play time of Outer Worlds is 12 hours is a goddamn liar and not to be trusted because majority of people I know play until there's majority, if not all, side quests are finished. Pretty sure I'm over 15 hours and that side quest list is not getting shorter and I know I got plenty of places to explore and companion missions waiting. Also I got the achievement for destroying groins, but I'll still aim at them because it causes debuffs when done in slow motion.

Looking through my wishlist, only a few things seem low enough for me to jump on.

Injustice 2 Legendary Edition - I'm not a fighter fan at all, but I do really like DC. Played the first game on GP, so I'd like to continue through the story. I had hoped it would go to GP, but it hasn't happened yet. I know the base game is $3 cheaper, but I wouldn't mind playing as the TMNT characters.

ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove! - I loved the original on Genesis, so I really want to get this. I feel like it could go cheaper though, plus I'm still holding out on SVC Toe Jam & Earl to go GWG since a couple other SVC titles have in the past. Got to replay the original first!

Aven Colony - I introduced my girlfriend to Cities: Skylines last year and she fell in love with it. Turns out she loves building cities, so this might be a good title for her. It has been on GP before though, so it could end up on GP again.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet - My girlfriend and her best friend loved the original Anime, so I've been thinking of picking this up. Apparently it doesn't take place in the same world though, but in a spinoff series. So I'm not sure if I should get it.

Strange Brigade - If it hasn't left GP already it is about to, and I never got a chance to play it. Watching the trailer got me interested, I like Pulp.

I was disappointed on the prices for the Sims 4 DLC like others here. My girlfriend loves it and wants pretty much all the DLC. Their pricing has always been bad though.

For the "spend $40 on the Black Friday sale and get 5000 rewards points" punchcard, is it $40 before or after tax?

I’m looking at Control for $38.99 even though I know it’ll be cheaper on BF at Target. If I bought only this, would the tax get me to the 5000 points or would I have to pick up another game too?

I dont doubt RE2 is a good game, but I highly doubt after taking everything into account that a remade survival horror game wins GOTY. I'm looking forwards to getting it next week, but as I said, If a survival horror remake turns out being the GOTY that's really sad.

I dont see how Outer Worlds doesnt win. Its probably the most positively polarizing game I've seen this gen other than Witcher, which I still see people hate on. It has everything; Gameplay, Story, World, Characters, and most importantly charm.
So a remake of Fallout 3/New Vegas should win that didn't even get the total game play update much less the graphical update that Resident Evil 2 remake did... that's some weird logic. Positively Polarizing some kind of new buzz word?

Right? It's not like RE2 is gonna win anyway. It's The Keeleys after all. And with the tremendous hard on he has for Kojima and his boring walking simulator, he'll win every category. Surprised it wasn't nominated for Mobile GotY.

Arent you one of the clowns praising the $60 Star Souls clone? You countered my statement "Remake" point with "iT's A cLoNe". You know theres a big difference between a remake and a clone right? Besides, basically every new game has elements of other games nowadays, but that's a different level than actually being the exact same game with new graphics. Doubt you've played outer worlds anyways...

I'm totally aligned with Akande this play through, so yeah never played it. Disco Elysium did the dialogue choices better and got released the same week. I'll praise the heck out of Fallen Order, great game, will it win the GOTY not a chance it's a solid 8 same as Outer Worlds, same as Control. Game experiences I would recommend to anyone though. Watching your posts since you showed up this last week and how quickly dismissive you are on anything you don't agree with, my suggestion would be dial it back a bit.

Apparently Xbox is sending out $10 gift cards in messages(not talking about the rewards notification)

I didn’t get anything yet per usual.

Agreed on all points except Control. That's my GOTY, ir came out of nowhere and impressed.

Dude's mad aggro lol.

10,000 points in 10 days is back on the rewards app on Xbox Nov 22 - dec 2 but when you click to see which games are eligible it just reloads so we’ll see later I guess.

Yup, seeing same here. I have the 10 000 points tile but can't see for which games yet.

I finally grabbed AC Origins and played all day yesterday. I think it's the first AC since Black Flag where I feel like doing everything.

GameStop BF ad is out... https://www.gamestop.com/deals/black-friday

Ghostbusters XB1 $19.99, huzzah - I can buy it here and trade in when completed.

But overall, not really worth the wait... no major deals that we haven't seen elsewhere IMO (at least for me, looking purely at XB1).

EDIT:  New pages added, might give Sinking City a try at $30 - anyone have any experience?  Speculating purely based on trailers and screenshots it looks like a mix of Murdered: Soul Suspect (which I surprisingly dug) and The Evil Within (which didn't seem like my kind of game).

If the outer worlds is eligible for any awards in my opinion, story writing or voice acting are what keep me engaged. The dialogue is so absurd and the factions themselves are actually pretty interesting. It’s definitely one of my personal games of the year but I don’t think it’s a contender for overall. I agree that RE2 is more deserving.

Hard to justify with the current models being so superior, but otherwise quite a good deal assuming the system you got it actually works well.

Well tickle me Elmo I finally have the daily and weekly and monthly quests but just on the mobile app. So how does this streak thing work that everyone has been talking about for the longest time?

I picked up AC Odyssey Gold and Far Cry New Dawn which came out nicely to $41 to trigger the 5000 points for $40.  I'm still wondering if there's going to be an Xbox currency deal for points, I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Sounds like the "time to roll credits" length by not doing any side stuff. Obviously the time goes way up otherwise.

The writing and dialogue is great that I kinda feel like it's a weird disservice to just skip over the side stuff. That and I'm a huge fan of any side mission in RPG's where you walk into a house possibly ran by cannibals and have to murder everyone. Also for better or worse, at least if I'm playing something this long and progressing it's better than spending countless hours (or days) staring at my backlog and slowly figuring out what to play.

There's a few games that isnt on sale. Hoping christmas/new years sale will do!

Baulder gates...come on!
If you want Baldur's Gate, I'd recommend just getting the PC enhanced versions. I bought Baldur's Gate for PS4; the controls were terrible and made the game a slog. Admittedly, it's tough putting a game like that on a console with a controller; it's miraculous they got it working at all. Still though, not fun.

I know it's not XB1, but I doubt it controls any better there, except maybe if you had the Elite controller with the programmable tertiary triggers.

Hmmm I heard same thing second time. I'm going to do PC then. Thanks! And yes I have elite, but that sounds....painful.

Is there a list of the xCloud games that aren't also on GamePass? I noticed stuff like Madden 20 and WWE2K20 on there while checking it out yesterday.

RAD is one of them also, but yeah don't know the rest or seen a list. That $99 dollar Xbox One is interesting but would be playing a lottery I suppose on condition of the system and the controller. Gamespot is going to have to try to exist in the era of GamePass somehow.

List is good...though Sword Art has never remotely clicked with me as a game. I couldn't recommend Aven Colony enough.

Deal on points would be awesome! Do you know if they ran a promo like this last BF? I missed out last time they were on sale and have been stocking up ever since.

Got $10 from the x1 message. Prob to make up for the $5 sales pitch message yesterday.

The GP weekly streak is different. You have to dl the MS rewards app on your X1 and every Tuesday you have a new 3 part challenge. Complete the challenges every week and you get bonus points for a certain number of weeks completed (streak) consecutively.

The new GP challenges (daily, weekly, monthly) just started this week and don't count towards the one above.

Didn't get the message but I never get the emails so didn't have much hope. Someday it has to happen right?

Speaking of not getting anything. Did anyone get the weekly email from microsoft rewards that has links to extra points? First week I don't remember getting one on mon/tues.

Thanks for the heads up we finally got these as well and in the X1 Rewards App I found the weekly GP you mentioned. Easy enough..kinda nice to get so many points now...especially when 1 Month of UGP will be 12.000 Points lol Right now I still have full 3 years though.

It's before tax, and DLCs don't count. I bought Code Vein and a Destiny DLC and was at $36. If you have nothing else you're interested in, it looks like the cheapest games to push you over the edge are Fear Effect: Sedna, Murdered: Soul Suspect, or Thief. 360 games don't count either.

Re-buying my refunded Ass Creed counted for me though, so that's a nice bonus.
