Through the console, after first selecting to download a GoD you are greeted by a familiar gray confirmation screen that pops up displaying the size of the download as well as confirming the price. At the bottom of this gray pop-up is the instruction to press the "X button" in order to change the payment type to MSP. Pictured below with an arrow:

I'm curious what the markdown on Angry Birds will be for the week of the 30th. It's the most overpriced game in the history of Xbox IMHO - not even sure that I really want to play it on my console. But if it hit $10 I might try it. It really ought to be $5 though considering that I paid $0 for every Angry Birds game other than Star Wars.
Turns out XBLA version of Monaco is delayed in last minute. Was curious why the game wasn't on Major Nelson's list.

https://twitter.com/MonacoIsMine/status/326821904440754176
Ouch, was wondering why it wasn't on Major Nelson's upcoming list.. Thanks for the info.

Looks like I'll probably be getting Tony Hawk next week for sure then but then I'd still need one 400 point game. Hmm, considering Zombie Driver, Pac Man CE DX, or NFL Blitz.. any thoughts?

Tempted to pick up Quantum Conundrum, but NOT a fan of first-person platforming. I wish that Ticket to Ride had gone on sale alongside Catan and Carcassconne.

Alright, bought BB 1600+400 points deal, then Quantum Conundrum. Probably get Simpsons and Pacman next week. Hoping for deals on Pid and Spelunky some day.

Spelunky was 480 points not too long ago.

In for Catan. I'm sure its not as good as the board game but after passing on it the last sale and regretting it I bit today. Will be nice to play again even if its against AI.

I never did end up getting GW2 last week, such a fail on my part.

Anybody think Poker Night 2 will be a decent poker game or is it all camp? I'm interested, especially after seeing the trailer and GlaDOS as the dealer...

I've been playing Catan on and off for a while. And I'm sure the board game might be better, but like ooga said, it's a moot point if you don't have a large group to play with.

Maybe I'll see you guys online.

I've been wanting to pull together a group for playing XBLA strategy board games for some time. With Catan and Carcasonne on sale this week to attract some new players and renewed interest, I thought I'd toss it out there to see if anyone is interested in doing some game nights.

This is a CAG group I quickly tossed together--open to suggestions on ways to make this work better.

IMO opinion the cardboard box is better than the pizza. It's also much healthier.

Did you ask this before when these games were previously on sale? I remember someone trying to start something similar a while back. You seem knowledgeable about these games - let me ask you: are they easy to learn how to play? Particularly Catan because I understand that it's a popular board game. Is the Xbox version faithful to it?
The Pizza Hut app is kind of pointless for me when they won't deliver here anyway, so I'd still have to go pick it up.
Wait? Canton, Ohio - home of the Football Hall of Fame and the hometown of my childhood best mates incredibly gorgeous cousins who I had major crushes on a decade ago - and you say they don't deliver pizza?!!! Yazoooks I say! Yazooks! I say we humble proletariat grab our pitchforks and torches and storm the castle. Then again no doubt the pizza is likely in another castle - the pizza is always in another castle.
And I don't understand your comment. I am well aware that Super Metroid is older. I am not sure what part of my post you find confusing.
The post to which you replied was someone saying they thought SotN would be like Super Metroid, but they found it clunky and not as engaging. A few people responded "well SotN is old." My response points out that SM is older than SotN, so "it's old" seems an insufficient explanation.
I think I found a 400 MSP game to complete my last punchcard =9 it will be cloning clyde =D

If anyone else still need to buy one last game to get their and the deals for this and next week don't help you at all, take a look on this list:

All XBLA Games are listed here and you can sort them by their price =)
Nice find, thanks for sharing that.

I proposed it a while ago during a slow sales week (probably GTA or Obilivion), but thought it was worth bringing up when the actual games were on sale. If I remember correctly, both games have pretty good tutorials which step you through the rules and the interface. Both Catan and Carcasonne are very faithful to the tabletop board games (& Carcasonne is particularly nice on XBLA since it keeps score for you); and I think they're relatively easy to learn. Expect to learn the rules and the flow during the first couple playthroughs and, after that, you start picking up the strategy.

We play the board game Settlers of Catan at my house, and my kids love it. They were all playing it at elementary school-age, and I have a cousin whose kids play it regularly and are even younger still. If you play one game of Catan, by then you pretty much have caught on to how it works. It's one of those simple-to-play games with enough depth to keep you coming back and trying different strategies (do you go for the Longest Road, or concentrate on building Cities? Or do you like collecting the Largest Army and cards? What resources should you go after first?). Nobody should be afraid of learning to play Catan (or "Settlers" as the board players call it). It's really not intimidating to learn.

I asked about the XBLA Catan already and got positive responses to it, and someone else asked about playing against the AI and got positive responses again. I'm probably going to pick it up.

DLC for a couple of games today.

Assassins Creed 3 Episode 3 of Washington DLC

and Im probably the only one that cares here but

Gears Judgment DLC today. :D

Completely forgot since I was so busy with a presentation.

Guess im the only one who hasnt cared for a single arcade game the past two weeks or I own the ones im interested in.

So since I'm going to have to buy a /shudder full price game I'm going to snag one of the ones on my wish list for a while. Anyone care to chime in on which would be mostworth the coin? I'm looking at Galaga Legions DX (still kicking myself for passing on it TWICE on PSN in favor of having it on Xbox), Strania, or Triggerheart Exelica. All three would be excellent choices but I might as well see if anyone has a preference on these three.

I realized after I looked at my list they are all shmups... go figure.. :D

No, the closest Pizza Hut is too far away to deliver here since they apparently have strict rules about how far they'll drive. I've only seen them deliver here once because they were nice enough to let the driver go a few street beyond their territory to where I live.

Heh, I've lived a good chunk of my life in the Middle Of Nowhere and that meant that for pizza we often called in the order, had them drive to their delivery limit, and met us somewhere to pick up and take back. Especially with the non-chain joints, this is a great way to get good pizza, even if you still have to go 5 - 10 min. still to get it.

I hate all the chains. Pizza Hut, Little Caesars (even though we indulge to support the Red Wings and Tigers), Dominos, Cottage Inn, Papa Johns, Hungry Howie's.... they're all not anywhere near as good as your average mom & pop pizza joint.

Forgot about Carcassone, which I'm considering now. I tried Catan and was just very bored and confused, but Carcassone was a bit of fun. Not sure how much I'd get out of it single player though, anyone care to share?

I know someone was trying to start a CAG group, but I don't know how often I could participate:whistle2:(

Need to have the VIP pass to get that today, it's available to everyone next week. I've held off because of my distaste for passes (based on sales before all the content has been released, wouldn't surprise me to see a Gears pass sale during E3), BioShock Infinite taking priority 1 week after Gears release and then working toward the April Punchcard. The possibility that the May Punchcard could be DLC based is another reason I'll hold off. That may get me to bite on the Gears and BioShock passes, plus Krieg in Borderlands 2.
Been doing some research on what title I should pick up to put me over the edge for the promo. In the likely event that it is not on sale tomorrow, can anyone recommend Sine Mora for 1200MSP? It has gotten some really solid reviews and I have been meaning to pick it up.
Sine Mora is probably my favorite scrolling shmup. I love the overall art direction and campy story.
If only someone would ask this question 14 or 15 more times.

Because reading the thread is hard. :p

Carcassonne does have local multiplayer. Only Catan lacks it.
I will say the sheer volume of posts in this thread can occasionally be a lot to digest. :D
Pretty damn sure that was their plan =P lol

Hum nothing for me next week and no special sales....so I guess I will look for a permanent reduced XBLA for 400 MSP or less...any recommendations?
Missile Command? :D Actually, I'm 160 points shy of the 3200 and considering that game or The Undergarden. However, even though none of these sale games are on My List, I'll still give the demos a shot.

Oops forgot it was VIP only. Regardless the pass is only 1600. Bought it before release as well as infinite pass and got the extra 400 point cards. Cant beat two season passes for 3200 when I payed $40 for 4000 msp and get limitless amounts from bing.

In case anyone was wondering though the DLC has 3 maps, gun skins, and armor skins as well as 250G.

I know the deal says 400 points and up for the punchcard, but does anyone know if games that should be 400+ points still count if they're on sale? In other words, do games like catan or puzzle fighter count? I got three stamps already but I only bought the twisted pixel bundle, hell yeah, and geometry wars 2 (which was on sale for
oh man totally in for Scott Pilgrim and the DLC ive been waiting for a sale on that
I'm annoyed that the new DLC is not on sale too. I know it's new but come on. It's ridiculous that the game and the first bit of DLC can be bought for 400pts but the other DLC is 400pts. I thought Ubisoft did right by setting the first DLC at 160pts. That felt fair for what it was. 400 pts for online play, which should have been in the game at the get go, is a bit of highway robbery IMHO.
Wish they would put the whole Wallace & Gromit Series on sale, still only have the first episode..
I've been waiting on a series sale too. I was surprised TWD was on sale for the holidays so quickly and has been on a repeat sale already. Guess they gotta strike while the iron is hot!

Thank you whoever mentioned the Capcom arcade disc. I bought it awhile back and forgot which games were on it. No wonder I could never bite on BC2. Subconsciously I must have knew I already owned that and Super Puzzle Fighter.

1600 points down. 1600 to go. Just got PvZ, damn that is addicting.

The Catan trial was kind of fun, but I don't see myself wanting to play that on Xbox... Will wait till next week to buy NBA JAM and Pacman. Going to have to buy a full priced game though :/

Trying to decide if I want From Dust and next week's Castlevania title (I've never played it). If I don't get those, I might go with PvZ and the Peggle stuff instead of waiting to catch the disc on the cheap (and is Nights on the disc at all?). Getting Poker Night 2 either way.

Anyone have any input on the better decision? I need 3 more games and $25 more dollars spent.

Both games are classics, but Symphony does lots of things that Metroid never could, like have an actual story with multiple characters and voice acting. And I could be wrong, but I believe it's a much larger game. It really just takes that exploration element of Metroid, blends the beautiful Castlevania aesthetic and vast array of enemies, and adds lots of well-considered gameplay systems on top of that. Anyone who writes SOTN off as being too clunky obviously didn't play it long enough, and it's hard to take that person's opinion on the game seriously as a result.

I was excited to finally pick it up myself, until I saw the DLC on sale doesn't have the multiplayer component. $5 for online play is bullshit. I have a stack of games 50 deep, I can live without.

Oh My. Trust me, you WANT Castlevania: SOTN. It's a classic, considered by many as one of the greatest games of all-time.

Anyone know if the Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD DLC will go on sale? I loved the game but the DLC seemed a bit overpriced considering how little it actually was, but at half price I would pick it up.

I wouldn't have minded paying that much if there was more depth to the DLC. As it stands it's just an extra playable character and the online play. It's ridiculous that it took 2 years to make that happen too. You'd think they could have added a few more levels (I know the game follows the comic series storyline but just throw on a few more levels or modes). The first DLC was 160 pts and added another character and 2 modes, dodgeball and arena. Ubisoft needs a stiff Hadouken to the face over this.

Any of you enjoyed Zombie Driver HD? I keep reading bad reviews about this one, but from watching the trailer it looks nice.
Why would I do this? Are they going to release a bundle (like Twisted Pixel's one) with the most wanted games?
Seems so, I don't see why they would do this if that wasn't their intention.
Any of you enjoyed Zombie Driver HD? I keep reading bad reviews about this one, but from watching the trailer it looks nice.
I thought it was a unique and highly enjoyable game, although the voice acting is terrible. If you like top-down driving games like Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2, you'll probably dig it. I also interviewed the devs.
