Some people (either side) are just trolls or incredibly stupid. No point in trying to engage them (sometimes I make an exception and almost always regret it).

I also don't (and wouldn't) get my news from social media sites like Facebook anyway. Like I said I don't bother with Facebook.

For me it is what am I looking for? When reading about video games I want various opinions. Is RE6 really as bad as everyone says or is it worth $10?

If I were to use Facebook I would use it to primarily follow friends and family (Which is how my wife uses it). I wouldn't be wanting to get into a big political debate or read various fake news stories or propaganda.

When I want to learn about an issue I read various sites (even some leaning away from my beliefs).

On Twitter I follow mostly gaming, auto racing, tech and a couple of friends. There is the occasional political post but it isn't a constant stream of crap. If it were I would stop following those who post crap.

Just watched the trailer for Waste of Space. I don't care that it'll probably become a waste of space on my hard drive. That is awesome. Totally worth the $5 on Xbox. That trailer sold me. It doesn't hurt that it's appropriately priced.

depending on the individual case testosterone levels should be the disqualifier unless medically necessary and there is a legitimate exemption showing that it doesn't create an unfair advantage

Only taking additional peds are disqualifying. Estrogen isn't considered a ped. There was no unfair advantage other than one person being built as a man (broader shoulders, more upper body strength, etc.

I'd like to think they aren't a replacement since the publisher sale is probably initiated by the publisher and not Microsoft. I could see the indie gamefest sale being more of a replacement.

Maybe we'll get a nice surprise and it'll be a few weeks of publisher sales, a month of gamefest and then a Microsoft spring sale the first week of April.
 
Without the OT banter, this thread would be boring IMO.  Don't post all that much, but I read every single post.  I get entertainment mixed in with my gaming deals/BC updates.  That huge picture a few pages back with the man dressed in female lingerie, not cool at all though.

In other news, anyone else enjoy playing their games on the easy setting?  I seem to enjoy the stories in the games I've been playing more than the actual gaming itself.  I don't know if it's a switch that has flipped since I've gotten older.  It's either that, or I just am not having as much fun gaming alone as when I lived around folks I grew up playing with my entire life.

I don't get much time to sit down and game so it's usually easy or normal for me these days

shooters are more fun on easy for casual play to mess around with, If I sit down to mess around with a game for 15 minutes I don't wanna die 85 times in that 15 minutes I wanna mow down some Nazis,zombies,wtfevers

The word "man" is debatable.

I haven't mellowed to the point where I prefer a low-stress game by putting it on easy. In fact, depending on the game, I like to crank up the difficulty. Case in point, In Diablo III, I cruise around in Torment 9 Nephalem Rifts to get Rift Stones to then try to get to the highest difficulties of Greater Rifts (stuck on Level 50 there). And with the 2.50 patch dropped earlier this week, Blizzard introduced the concept of Primal Ancient gear. The only way to get a chance for that type of gear to drop is to have completed Greater Rift 70 solo. So I have a long way to go still.

Maybe you would have more time to game if you eased up on the CAG talk. You don't have to go away, just back it off a little that's all.

I normally play on Normal difficulty but certain games I'll up that. Like the Mass Effect trilogy, playing on Nightmare with NG+ was a totally new experience. Unreal, so satisfying popping that achievement in ME2 too. Another game I went higher difficulty because of the rewards was Borderlands 2.

I usually play on veteran or normal for the achievements. But then I'm not that good (for the COD veteran....I don't even try with Halo) and rarely progress halfway before stopping. So I end up getting less achievements anyway.

Anyone familiar with Infinite Air? While I didn't have a chance to play Steep during the recent free weekend, I remember not caring for the simulation type experience and the always online BS that Ubisoft likes to implement. Is Infinite Air also a sim snowboarder or is it more arcade like?

So a while back I posted about selling a Battlefield 1 code, some people suggested selling it on the trade forum here. I did that, found a buyer and he sent paypal, everything seemed ok. That was on January 20th, on March 17th, I received an e-mail from PayPal saying:

We are writing to let you know one of your buyers opened a case for this transaction. The buyer stated that they did not authorize this purchase.

So the buyer issued a chargeback with his Credit Card. I proceeded to leave negative feedback here, get in contact with him and fight the chargeback on PayPal with proof of me sending the code, but alas, with a digital code, they ruled against me and charged me an additional 20 dollars for a "chargeback" fee, although the status on PayPal says "Disputing on your behalf".

The buyer said he did not issue a chargeback and is looking into the issue, but I haven't heard from him since that day. I have no experience with this kind of issue before, the buyer had 100% feedback before mine, so I want to take his word for it, but I can't help but feel I'm still screwed.

Am I officially out of luck here? I'd appreciate any feedback.

BTW, hope this is ok to post here, don't want to ruin the guy's rep, but I don't know where else to get advice for this.

I definitely do the same in regards to the thread.

I enjoy my games on easy or normal, I would rather play through and enjoy what the game has to offer instead of banging my head against a wall. Occasionally I will play something on a higher difficulty if an achievement calls for it but not usually. I could usually play 2 more games in the amount of time a hard or expert run would take me. I think it has helped to keep my backlog in check even though I am limited in gaming time and buy quite a few games.

Mods can put CAG users on trading time out or a temp ban to notify other users that someone has potentially cheated someone. Notifying a CAG mod is entirely appropriate, esp. given you've had to pay fees already over this BS.

pp has always been that way it's why I always avoid it these days

over a decade ago I used to use it for stuff not completely unlike stuff that gets sold on this site and chargebacks were an issue then and there wasn't anything we could do about it

Don't feel bad man. A fellow CAG filed a police report against me last year for a transaction that was made through this site as well as PayPal. It is a super long story, but I feel your pain lol.
