Honestly, this will probably lead me to buying more and trying out games I'm on the fence about. I'm sure MS is also thinking that may also occur and possibly boost sales -- not lower them.

That's, of course, with the caveat that this is easy and seemless to do as it is made out to be.

At the same time, it's a pretty minor thing and if a game truly is broken, you aren't stuck with it. Xbox and 'consumer friendly' used to be a misnomer, but lately they've been leading the charge.

**sheepishly** I've actually accidentally done that while in party chat, tired and talking about meaning of life stuff, and just absentmindedly and randomly clicking around on the dashboard. I think this was before they had the option to enter a password before purchases. I've also had friends who accidentally bought games while drunk.

I'd be surprised if they didn't eventually add an achievement completion threshold for games. Unless they just plan to track things in the background to determine achievement / playtime completions and factor that into the "abuse" criteria.

I'm not 100% sure this starts today I saw it posted on GAF and reddit. It was from someones alpha preview dashboard, so it might be out to the public just yet. Word of caution for that I suppose if you are buying somethings this week/next week.

If you are in the alpha preview I'm assuming your safe to buy whatever. If your not in dash then this might be a days/weeks wait

Or if you got the game refunded, maybe they would reset all achievements for that game. I would prefer that, I hate having games with 10-30 points and never wanting to play the game again.

What is considered abuse? I'd purchase a few extra things this week that I'm leaning towards not buying, but an hour of playing might convince me to keep.

That is awesome. A couple weeks ago I accidentially purchased the wrong game/bundle. Took a while waiting in queue for a chat rep. He did a one time courtesy refund. Would have been so much nicer to going to account.microsoft.com and requesting a refund there. I guess I would have had to download and install it first but still would have been easier.

 
Does play time mean after purchase or total play time in that game? If I rented Shadow of Mordor and played it for over 2 hours last year, then I buy it digitally would I still have 2 hours for a refund?

I was trying to get that Evil Dead bundle a couple weeks ago. I was on my phone and finally got it to go into my cart. It was the $19.99 bundle which didn't have half the games the $20.80 bundle did. Only mistake I can recall ever making. Couldn't get it to work on my laptop and wanted to get in before the removed the deal. Too lazy/tired to go downstairs and try to get it from the XBox. If they didn't refund it wouldn't have been the end of the world but was nice that they did.

All the Porsche stuff got leaked months ago as well as a ton of future DLC cars when a W10 update accidentally allowed people to find it. If they follow the past trend then it will be the other expansion included in the expansion pass and not the season pass.

I saw someone post that the Gears 2 photojournalist achievement didn't work for them. According to TA, it has returned to working intermittently, which is what it did for awhile between long stretches of not working at all. So just keep trying before they scrap it.

I know Bloomy is the hardest working man in CAGland, but should we add the W10 game sale to the OP? There are several games on sale currently.

I don't mean leading the charge on this specific issue. I mean MS' overall business strategy this gen has been remarkably consumer friendly. Cross-buy with Windows, BC without any upgrade fees, competitive pricing on systems. All of it.

They probably consider 2 hours of playtime to be sufficient for determining if you want to keep a game. Whether that is split over a rent and a digital buy it still means you had ample time to make a determination. The only loophole might be if you rented the original game, but then bought a GotY version digitally as many times they are considered different games by the system.

I think it is great they are doing this, it will likely get more people to take a chance on some games they might not have previously. It will probably also encourage developers to front-load more fun, making Final Fantasy 13-like multi hour tutorials a thing of the past.

The confirmation screen didn't come up for me 3 times on two separate occasions.

I was buying Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker and it went straight to purchase without confirming. I called MS and a rep had me test it on another game and it happened again. The rep refunded the second purchase.

It happened again another day when I bought American McGee's Alice.

Luckily, I wanted them but it did happen to me.

That is largely exaggerating it. There are more people buying Xbox Ones now because there's more people gaming now so even if they aren't selling as many as Sony that's still a lot. If anything though, another example of how a competitive market works.

 
Gears 4 Easter Hunt info is online. Need to register to be eligible to receive the Chocolate weapon skins. Lancer skin and emblem just require logging in, other weapon skins require reaching goals in the special event play list. Modified Guardian with only Longshots. Never was a fan of OSOK, reaching some of those requirements will be a pain.

Kantus and Savage Kantus skins will be available in a new card pack, and double XP in all game modes.

The Play Anywhere titles are in the OP, they appear to be the only ones with non-Gold discounts. Guess MS hasn't figured out a way to do separate prices for Gold / non-Gold on the Windows side.

Is there a way to buy in the Argentine Store? I have seen here that Fallout 4, the base game, is so cheap in that Store, but Gift Cards are not available for that country. 

I would also like to know if it is worth the Season Pass, or just go for the Deluxe Edition. Mexico has good price also, but It's a pain in the ass to buy in that country. 

 
Really looking forward to We Happy Few coming out of Game Preview with the story mode. Own it, but haven't touched it because I want to wait for it to be done first. That's one MS exclusive we seem to forget about even though it looked amazing

Never liked using RAAM, felt like his hitbox was higher than the other Locust characters. But I've been using the Black Steel Scion, who is pretty large too, for a month now and done quite well with him so maybe it's different in Gears 4.
