Anyone here that still has a 360 experience really slow download speeds lately? It's been bad but today was exceptionally horrible. It took me over two hours to download Torchlight, Half-Minute Hero and The Orange Box demo. 

If it doesn't improve, I'm screwed if/when I decide to play Rage (21GB!!!)

Yeah, I saw that file size too. I'm thinking about deleting Lost Odyssey (16 gb) from my 360's hard drive to make room for Ghostbusters. I'm not even thinking about Rage just for that reason.

LOL. Was just complaining about that in my post about downloading a bunch of demos on my 360, which I almost never use these days. Glad it's not just me that's having issues. Thought it was part of its death spiral.

Damn I don't miss how loud that thing is.

The reasons why I'm being hesitate is that Braid looks a bit boring, I have a feeling DS 2&3 will be offered through GWG in the future and I have no rush to play them even though I liked 1 a lot, and I have no nostalgia for Ghostbusters but continue to hear how good it is.

I cant speak to new vegas but in 3 if you install the DLC from a disk the digital version does NOT recognize it. I got the free fallout 3 code when I bought 4 and it would not read the dlc

Holy fuck, nostalgia overload with Bomberman Battlefest tonight. I used to play Bomberman with friends with the adapter to get up to 8 players in. Oh chaotic times they were hehe.

Probably a late reply - But apparently Dead Space 2 had saves tied to the collectors editon and they don't work. Don't think its the same issue with Dead Space 3.

EA needs to get on the fix with MS and include the collectors content.

 
Bought Arkanoid or tried to, it errored out. Then it showed I bought it twice but didn't own it, spent 25 minutes on the phone with MS support and no resolution. The guy is supposed to call me back tomorrow. At least I got the other games I wanted and my account isn't locked.

Maybe your state doesn't charge tax on this items. I just bought some games on my Xbox 360 and I was still charged Illinois taxes. Previously I bought some on the Xbox website and they did the same. No tax free games for me.

Finished the main story and most of the side stuff for Sleeping Dogs tonight.  Still have the two DLC stories to do but I liked the game for the most part.  The story was fairly by the numbers but I did like the variety in mission design.  It does suffer a little in tone at times but overall a good game.

The telltale game? If you're a fan of JP it's interesting and had some throw backs to the first movie. It's a lot less like the newer telltale games, it's mostly quick time events and some dialogue. If you're an achievement hunter and don't have quick reflexes you may need a walk through and do some reloading. It's not a great game, but it's not horrible. If you live near a gamestop (or a store with a similar return policy outside the US) I suggest just buying it there and returning it because it's pretty short. I think I finished it in three sittings maybe, less than 12 hours.
 
The Ghostbusters game is tempting, but I watched footage of it and it seems like there's a lot of stop/start gameplay there. Scan this with the PKE, scan THAT with the PKE. Look, can I just play the game already? I realize you're trying to flesh out the storyline but come on, I want to get to the video game part.

Here's the deal. My Xbox one is registered in California, where I moved to, from Missouri. I never changed my location on my 360 so I don't get charged tax on it but I do on Xbox one.

I have both, and I play my 360 more than my One because I prefer the 360 controller to the One's controller. But to each his (or her) own. I've never dumped any of my systems though. Still, double dipping isn't that cost prohibitive with a sale like this one. But what you're saying makes sense too.

It appears that most people are buying the game for the fan service. I haven't seen the movie with Melissa McCarthy, but people are calling this game the true sequel to the 1980s movies because the Melissa McCarthy movie was trash. But whomever decided to call it a "Luigi's Mansion game with Ghostbusters characters" nailed it on the head.

Few games have aged as well as Half Life 2. The graphics show their age compared to modern stuff (esp. character models) but are still beautiful and quite cinematic, gameplay is as fluid as ever. But dang, this game came out in 2004, same year as the first Killzone and Fable. Those are also good games, but no one is championing their visuals 13 years later.

I get why people do this and compared to keeping a used game that you'll never play again and that the dev didn't see any money for anyway, it makes sense. But for $5 digitally I'd personally rather buy it and support the developer a little. Hell, it's worth it just to avoid going into GS not once, but twice.

So true. On the newest one for XB1, it feels like they stepped up the difficulty of the hard tracks. I was able to (sloppily and with many errors) complete most of them in the earlier games, but they're a bunny hop-a-thon in the newest one.

I still love the games, though...the physics, controls and level design on the easier levels makes them a blast to play. When you nail certain sequences you get that feeling like hitting a string of tough notes back in the day in Rock Band or Guitar Hero.

Damn. Down to $1.65 in my Xbox Live account and there are at least 20 more Arcade games that I want to buy before the sale ends. Considering buying at least $50 more in Live cards before the weekend. And I finally got the hang of playing Gripshift. I will now stop calling it Grip-shit because the controls don't suck as bad if you choose the car with the best handling.
 
I really do not like that I can not use existing xbox live credit to purchase games from the current sale. I have $15.xx and tried to get dead space 3 but can only use my check card. Whats the point of having xbox live credits/cash? I tried on my xbox one and the website. Any way around it? Havent had a xbox live console in awhile

Be warned though about dead space 2/3 save files as another CAG has said that they don't transfer/compatible from x360 to x1.
 
Microsoft renewed the trademark for scalebound. Probably nothing to read into. Most likely just so that another title couldn't come out riding on name recognition, but I hope this means there is still hope for an open world dragon rpg Ms exclusive lol
