Thanks. I read that thread and it was unclear to me if you could use the points to buy more GCs. Didn't seem like it was valid on GCs. Plus we don't regularly shop there.

Will check CVS though as they sometimes have promos on MS credit.

 
These 360 Deals this week have to be one of the worst deal week I have seen yet (aside from that one week where only avatar items were on sale and that other week where all you got was to change your Gamertag for half the price lol)

 
Man, I have a PS4 but am disappointed in Microsoft. PSN has some pretty good deals with a Best of E3 sale right now (some of the games are far from being the "best" of previous E3s, however).

WTF MS? Step up your game with the sales!

I just want Crackdown 1 and 2 to go BC like now. But again, it seems it won't happen because of Microsoft's now proven one focus approach to everything. With E3 week and the Xbox One X, I doubt we're getting any BC games this week.

Hopefully they're not deliberately withholding them until November because that would suck.

The only thing that looks appealing to me is Stardew Valley, but I don't need another game of that length to add to my backlog.  I just "optimized" my NES Classic to include some SNES RPGs (Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Earthbound) I never got around to, plus the whole NES catalog is on there now.  

I think I'm content just waiting for the stuff I really, REALLY want to go on sale.

10/27 is an expensive day: Wolfenstein II, AC: Origins, and now Mario Odyssey.

 
Mario Odyssey looks fun as hell. Too bad I'm waiting on second iteration of Switch before I jump on, but good presentation. Surprises (Metroid lives!) and kept to the point. Though only downside is no talk of 3DS at all.

I was a little surprised by that, but I missed the first few minutes and started watching during the Xenoblade 2 footage, so I wasn't sure if I might've missed something. Was hoping for a new F-Zero and a 2D Metroid announcement.

 
They will be talking about OG Xbox BC at today's Xbox Daily Show. Starts at 4pm EST.

Doubt they will add any games this week. But still worth a watch probs.

That $499 price on the X1X is scaring me off. But I have been wanting to take advantage of my 4K TV.

So I think I'm just going to trade in my standard X1 and get a X1 S for $250 less. Then wait a year. See how adoption of he X1X specs goes as far as games truly taking full advantage of it.

Then maybe get one (hopefully with a price drop by then).

I am excited to grab a Switch by early 2019 now because I know Pokemon should be out (or close to) and Metroid Prime 4 is in the works. But by "winning" E3 the are just pulling a Sony by throwing stuff that isn't out for 2+ years. I mean, unless your excited by presumably Yoshi's Wolly World port/remix, Xenoblade 2, Dynasty Warriors Featuring Fire Emblem and Mario Odyssey then yeah they won E3. I will be dipping into Rocket League for a FORTH time though.

I think whatever is in development for 3DS will carry forward, but I don't see them focusing a lot on the 3DS anymore since Switch is selling out everytime new stock comes in. Nintendo would be wise to push some of their switch releases for 2018/2019 when stock gets further pushed out.

Edit: Bloomy redeemed. World premier for 3DS on treehouse right now.

Rocket League crossplay between X1, Switch and PC. Same with Minecraft. May actually double dip on both if they go physical on Switch because I LOVE that sound when you change game.

I could see them releasing Crimson Skies to some of the Insiders for testing, but that would probably be it.

I upgraded from a fatty XB1 to an S last December. A wise choice indeed. The form factor on it is great, feels so much more sturdy. The navigation/UI is even slightly faster. The fatty was starting to feel slow.

You can recoup some of the costs by throwing whatever pack-in code you get into the trade thread here. Get a few bucks back. I sold ol' fatty on eBay, threw in a few old games, a BF1 code (already had it) and an extra controller. Sold it in a day or two. Much better choice than going to a place like GS.

Get your S this week, though, since they are on sale w/ that $50 price cut. I think it ends EOD Saturday.

I Sat on my ass at work and everyone left me alone to watch the Nintendo press conference. I Personally won E3.

 
I will get an Xbox One X, AFTER I get a 4K TV w/ HDR.  I am invested in the ecosystem, and will stay with it but there is no rush to get one.  I'm still rocking my Day One phat Xbox One with no issues.

That's the best part of it IMO. I upgraded last august when GS had several deals you could stack. Got it with madden and a free copy of Deus ex and traded those back in for $80 more off of the cost. Then sold my fatty for $175 on CL.

I'm going to end up with 4 months but the only game that I have any interest in and that I don't own is Massive Chalice. I own about 75% of the games on there.
 
I guess the point I'm trying to make with Nintendo is that I appreciate that Microsoft has improved the E3 game and doesn't just fill the conference with logos of "Halo 6 2018" "Gears of War 5 2019" "Forza Horizon 4 2018"

I like that just about everything in the MS conference will be out before next E3
 
Looking locally on Craigslist and Facebook storefronts and there are a butt load of X1s for sale. Don't really feel like dealing with eBay, shipping and all that crap. Hope I could still get $125 for my fatty but not so sure seeing how many there are.

Only trades for $75 so don't think I could do worse than that.

Make your bundle unique. That is what I did when I sold it on eBay. Add an extra controller (if possible) and like 3 games.

Do not fear using eBay. I have been doing it for a zillion years. Get a big box, use lots of air pillows, give it a kiss and ship it away.

Do NOT trade it in for $75. That is bullshit.

I've sold plenty of stuff on eBay but nothing this big. I'll see. Might try Craigslist first and see how I do.

But you're right that $75 is complete BS.

Week before last (sorry I know you don't have a time machine) GameStop was giving a $50 bump. Forget the details (maybe had to put it towards an S). I would imagine there will be some trade promo in November. Still might do better on your own though.
