My EA Access expired. I had a 12 month pre-paid card with a code that I tried to apply to my account, but doesn't seem to work. Keep getting some "Something went wrong Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate." message.

Contacted support. Said they'd investigate the problem. Been a few days. I only really play Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare anyway.

I sprang for Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Deluxe Edition to own. $10 isn't bad. Now I hope there will be a sale on the first game. Probably done with EA Access.

Original Doom is synonymous with PC though. Meaning I don't recall people buying a console just to play Doom. You played it for the campaign and it was done and forgotten on there and it lacked all the features that made the PC version the long lasting hit that it was so I can't call a watered down version anything memorable for consoles at least.

Goldeneye though sold consoles and caused insomnia.

If that's like the issue I had a while back, it's a huge PITA to get it fixed. Something between EA and MS was fucked up, only way to fix it was to cancel the subscription, then put a new subscription card on the account.

I once played Goldeneye with 3 friends for nearly two days straight. It was summer break and we were all too young for real jobs. Once we stopped playing, I felt like I was going to die.

Those were the days. Play football games Friday nights, then watch film on Saturday morning and play 4 player split-screen all day on the big screen TV in the living room that my friend's mom told us not to use. Too bad she worked on Saturdays :)

That box is the best deal they've ever had. To the point where they've removed it from at least one location near me.

I had Taco Bell this past Thursday. Tried the triple double crunchwrap box for the first time. Crunchwrap was delicious EXCEPT for the soggy corn tortilla in the middle. Tasted like stale ass and wasn't crunchy whatsoever. Ended up just pulling it out so it wouldn't ruin the rest of the wrap.

Really glad I went for the Xbone version (for now, I'm sure I'll get the Steam version when it hits a decent sale price). Heard that the PS4 netcode was shit, sad to hear they haven't fixed it and it's noticeably worse than the Xbone/Steam versions. Does the PS4 version even have better graphics than the Xbone version? I know the Steam version natively supports up to 4K resolution.

As for why the netcode on the PS4 is worse, could be one of two reasons. Could be because the port was rushed IDecember release) in comparison to Xbone/Steam (3 months later) or it could be the PS4 port is based on the trash PS3 or Vita versions.

 
God damn. Is it me or is The Division super hard? Or do they expect you to be way overleveled for these missions? I am at the recommended level, and I die after two hits, meanwhile the enemies take about 30 rifle headshots to take down.

There is a huge difficulty spike early on. It evens out once you get better gear.It is a cover based looter shooter afterall so use both to your advantage. Early on I found the support station and turret to be extremely effective or Pulse if you're playing in a group.

Similar thing is happening to me. My situation is that I bought a card from Newegg around August, but the tiny ass print says the card expires 12/31/16, which I didn't realize until 2 weeks ago.

The Bioshock Collection and NBA 2k16 have showed up in the Xbox game pass section for me now, though it still wants me to buy them instead of just letting me install. I hope they do get added, I wouldn't mind playing through the Bioshock remasters.

True, but that was in 95. By then, you could tell the tech was getting older(heck even Doom II came out the year before). And the Goldeneye hype train was already in town by then for console owners. Goldeneye was just the next step in awesome fps games, much like Halo 1 improved on Goldeneye. And like how CoD 4 Modern Warfare improved on Halo 1, etc...

But lets be real, when people think og Doom, its PC that game is most associated with. Same with Wolfenstein 3D. And yes, Wolf 3D did get ported to SNES, I remember. I still have it. Not like the SNES was remembered for having the superior versions of id games anyway. Much like Mortal Kombat, they were toned down(no blood and everything nazi related removed)

I think that might be the problem. I also bought it from NewEgg. I didn't even realize that there was an expiration date. The fine print is weird though. It says "Free subscription one-time use code expires December 31, 2016." It wasn't free, I bought it.

I'll see if EA or Microsoft can issue a new code. Otherwise I'll have to deal with NewEgg for a refund or charge back. Freaking sucks.

I didn't forget about it, but an inferior port of the game that had been available for years on PC did not sell consoles. It also lacked MP. Comparing Doom on SNES to the impact that Goldeneye had both on the console viability for shooters and the genre as a whole is absurd.

The comment I was previously responding to stated that Halo put "Shooters on the map for consoles," and I was pointing out that Goldeneye's impact can't be ignored.

Yup stupid. I used a Bentley GT I had for the rest of the challenges. Saw one Draft bump unlock come up. Did a few more and nothing. Grabbed the car I won and did 3 and it poped. Not sure why a Bentley GT isn't considered a GT car for this challenge.

Xbox Live Free Trial Months are DEAD! (this is sarcasm)

I had an offer for a free month appear on my dash because I'm a badass. So I click it, brings me to the page to subscribe for free but then it gives me a bullshit error saying my account is past due and to update my info. I did this offer in the past, but if the offer isn't valid for me, don't show it to me idiots. Dumb dumb dumb. Also dumb, that you can't use more than one 48 hour trial on an account.

But as an American company, shouldn't they also follow DST and keep the deals at 7pm? How dare they make us wait an hour longer for our weekly disappointment until November 5th.

 
Started up the Division the other day. Not bad so far. Only just got to Manhattan though, so I don't know if it gets better or worse from here. I have a friend who's gonna help boost me up. I don't want to be stuck completing this for a month while playing Mass Effect at the same time.
 
Any thoughts on the Dead Rising 4 Season pass for $12?  I don't have the base game anymore.  Would I be better off waiting for the Deluxe edition to go on sale?  Or is $12 plus a decent sale on the base game likely the better way to go?  Or is the DLC not that good?

if it helps any I'll be waiting for the cheaper deluxe

I don't think you're missing out by waiting since you don't have the game and I'm sure we will see it on sale all year long but that's just my opinion
