I couldn't tell you what the story was about, but hot damn Destiny is fun to play.  Solo, co-op, multiplayer, it's all good.

... well except for the "always online" component. Otherwise, good stuff.

Everything but end-game content (max level type stuff) auto-pairs you with other players if its designed for co-op vs solo, and you don't need to communicate with them at all so you can just pretend they're very intelligent AI companions if it makes you feel better ^_^

Fable 3's biggest problem didn't necessarily age poorly because it was a garbage decision at launch. Instead of using a normal menu the game teleports you to a home base with multiple rooms that have the same functions as a menu, like equipping weapons or looking at the map. In theory this is cool but in practice it is way over designed and makes all menu functions take way longer then they should. Other than that you have a bad leveling system, and a few questionable design choices regarding story progression.

It's alright overall, but I think Fable 2 is better in all departments except graphics.

 
Xcom 2, Necropolis, and Deus Ex were close enough to good prices for me. Been curious about Deus Ex but stupid Squeeenix kept the price high for so damn long. I'll let you guys know if I boot up Necropolis before the sale ends.


Tempted by Bioshock for $30. Decent price and I loved those games, but I don't know that I want to replay them.

Also my Target stores near me may have a white 1TB XBox One Gears bundle for $105. Is it worth the upgrade or wait until a sale on the Scorpio and have all my dreams come to life?

If you sold your original, you'd probably break even or make more than the cost of the One S. Less power, more compact, no external PSU...

 
For $105 you could either trade in your current to make up most of the difference of just flip the S for cash and make some money. That's really cheap.

 
This is a really good week for me sales wise.  Blue Dragon for sure, going have to debate Alan Wake, Catherine, and Old Blood.

Good sale this week but nothing really for me that I don't already own or a few things still aren't cheap enough. Might get Lego Avengers though, that's finally cheap enough.

The New Order is much better. They are both very good but Old Blood is more like a standalone expansion. It isn't but it's the closest comparison. The New Order is more of a full AAA game. I would recommend both to anyone who enjoys shooters especially to anyone who enjoyed the new Doom.

You probably don't want to hear it, but both are great. Gun to my head I'd give the nod to Old Blood by a hair. The mechanics are slightly better, and I enjoyed the setting a little more. There's more content in New Order though.

$105 for a new 1TB S is a great deal. I'd grab that and sell my 500GB non S in a heartbeat, even with Scorpio coming in the fall.

New Order was a full 60 dollar release, old blood was a 20 dollar digital game that later got a disc version, I got burned out when playing new order but enjoyed the old blood all the way until the final boss, fuck that final boss

 
What do people think of the bioshock collection at $30? I would like lower but going by the borderlands collection pricing it seems like 2k does not go lower then $10 per game and that came out in 2015.

If you want to play it immediately, $10 per game isn't bad. If it's going in the backlog, it'll be on sale again in 6 months and will probably hit $20-25 by then.

 
I have the red dead game of the year edition with all of the dlc

to go full digital will I need both vanilla and undead pack digitally?

I don't rememeber if the physical dlc was installed and can be played with the vanilla digital or not

Some info on a few games:

Abzu - Pretty but boring, it's just exploring underwater. The best things going for it are it's different and an easy 1k. Overpriced, would be a better value under $10

Awesomenauts - Sidescrolling MOBA. A good game but there are very few people online. I did enjoy the bot matches though. I played 30 hours and got 850 gs.

Deadlight - The remaster doesn't add much. I enjoyed the XBLA game and enjoyed a 2nd playthrough in the remaster.  I got 845 gs in 5 hours and called it good. The survival mode didn't seem that special to me.

Doodle God - Only buy for achievements, it isn't worth it for anything else.

Energy Cycle - This is as easy of a 1k as it gets, buy only for gamerscore.

Tennis in the Face - A decent mobile port, very similar to Baseball Riot. For this cheap I recommend it to anyone who thinks they might like it. It's a simple game but there is fun to be had. Took me 8 hours to 1k.

Spheroids - A good platformer with a decent gimmick.  It was kind of unique, fun, funny and didn't overstay it's welcome. Easy gamerscore too, it took me about 5 hours to 1k. I would recommend it to anyone unless they hate platformers.

 
Shadow warrior for 6 is a good deal. Some good laughs for the price. I enjoyed it for the amount of time I played it. Got about half way through it before moving on. I may pick that one up for another play through.
 
You expect so little and they still manage to disappoint you. Wish we had gotten another Zoo Tycoon/Screamride bundle at a good price since I missed that one they pulled on date night back when.

I wouldn't, by all accounts it's so buggy it borders on broken and it doesn't get good marks on gameplay either. There's no evidence they've fixed any of it and it seems like they've entirely abandoned it for their new project.
