It looks like a fairly decent point and click that gets about 15 hours of play time. I am seeing it for $1.99 on my end. I think I am getting it. I like these games when I need to just chill and there is some easy gamerscore to be had.

 
Since I just got an XBox One and never played FH@ I was thinking about just picking up the Forza Horizon 2 DLC package and waiting for a future date for FH3 to go even lower than $60 for the Ultimate edition.

ultimate doesn't even include all of the dlc

What is it missing other than blizzard mountain.  The XB1 store is kinda a pain to navigate when trying to see all add ons associated with a game.

A little puzzled by your second post. So you're going to buy FH2 DLC and wait to buy FH3 later. Do you have FH2 and if not are you going to buy it or are you going to use FH2 DLC on FH3 later?

I think I'll be picking it up as well. Seems nice and achievements are fairly straight forward, so should be an easy 1000

Yeah I had a typo in my second post.

Originally I was going to buy the FH3 Ultimate Edition for $60. But when you pointed out the all the FH2 DLC was on sale for $30, I figured why not just buy that and a cheap copy of FH2 since I never played it. I know the game is old but will be new to me. Then maybe in a year FH3 will be on some kind of super sale with all of the DLC included for cheap.

There's a new Porsche car pack that released last week that isn't included with any current bundles or passes for the game.

The Forza Horizon 3 car pass (included in the Ultimate Edition) included 6 car packs that were released monthly from Oct '16 through Mar '17. Since we're now in April, new packs going forward aren't covered. And the Porsche pack apparently isn't covered by the Expansion Pass (which includes Blizzard Mountain), either.

There's also a treasure map which will show where all the bonus boards are. Since the FH2 one is in the all inclusive bundle, I imagine it would be included if they ever put one together for FH3.

I highly recommend Stick it to the Man for $5. I played through it on PS4 and it was great. It was quirky, weird, and full of charm. Gameplay wise, it's a mashup of 2D action platformer and point and click adventure. Sounds weird but it works. The art and tone sort of remind me of psychonauts

I'm in the same boat as you. QB is a game I'd really like to play, and if I get it now I'd probably get around to playing it in a week or so. But something is holding me back and I'm thinking it'll come back on sale for maybe cheaper in the 2nd half of they year. I could probably wait until then. The cheapest I see this going for later in the year is $20 (just a hunch), so if the extra $4 doesn't bother you and you will play this soon then maybe you should get it now.

It's really easy to beat. Got done with it in one play through was going to go back to get the rest of the achievements and never got back around to it. I'd wait on it honestly if you haven't pulled the trigger already.

Also I played it on the hardest difficultly and beat it fairly easy. Didn't really die much through out the game.

For sure, competent ports that are reasonably priced are fine. I just wish people would stop calling ports "remasters" since the words aren't synonymous and mean different things. Same with remakes.
 
Since I have to pay a large tax bill this year (I was partially self employed last year and have no dependents), I went with the two Dead Rising 2 standalone XBLA games, Rio, and Red Faction Armageddon on 360. Didn't want to waste the rest of my credit on Xbox One games when I have several big name titles that I bought during previous sale and never downloaded (Metro Redux, both Wolfensteins, etc). I might get Thunder Wolves for 360 this week and then bank up my remaining Live credit since Uncle Sam has forced me to curb my spending. I've decided not to buy anymore Live cards for a while, but I should be able to cash in a $5 Bing credit in two weeks. Sucks, but now I might actually have to play my backlog now instead of adding to it! I'm going to start with Red Faction: Guerilla tonight.

I have the 10th anniversary edition/storm island for horizon 2

would the 30 dollar dlc pack still be worth it for me? also I don't play online if that matters

Just bumping this as a reminder to anyone playing FH3. Took me like 20 mins to knock it out so it is really easy.

 
In for DR4 season pass for $10.  I'll eventually finish the game and some fun could be had with these things in the DLC.   Thinking about Overcooked Gourmet Edition but I'm curious, yes you could have more fun playing co-op, but could you also have as much fun playing with yourself? :D/  And I'm still waiting for Stardew Valley & MvC3 to get discounted.

EA walked back that "no season pass" stuff. Think they were pissed when the devs said that. Now they say additional content is still to be decided.

It seems unlikely that Battlefront will really not have a season pass. There was some backlash to the season pass on 1 but it was more because of the lack of content in the base game, and no single-player. More than anything else EA does aside from sports games, I think the Star Wars deal is intended to suck up as much money as possible.

Mass Effect managed to not have a season pass (yet), but there was a lot of pissed off people back from the day-one ME3 DLC. I think EA really looks at DLC on a game by game basis. I really don't understand the Titanfall 2 situation.

Said no season pass and then they said EA wanted them to hold off on solidifying that as true or something along those lines. I think they'd earn a lot of favor following what they did with titanfall 2 and make everything map related for free and put cosmetics and consumables in to offset that loss in revenue. An IP like star wars has a lot it can use for cosmetics and I'm sure a large part of the player base would pay for it.
 
EA just has to get with the times and have in game cosmetic items. It works for so many games these days and offers no competitive advantage. It also gives the developers money. win-win for everyone.

Also no BC titles which is kind of a bummer. Heres hoping for a decent Thursday. I think BLOPS2 gives them a good excuse to take a good week+ off. Maybe they were off a extra day with easter?

My speculation on Battlefront II:  Since a developer already said no season pass and they specifically mentioned not fragmenting the multiplayer base, I think multiplayer maps and game modes will probably be free.  They might have a "season pass"-like thing for single player and/or co-op content though, as that technically doesn't fragment the players, with the pull being that completing the DLC content will unlock unique items for multiplayer, whether cosmetic or not.  I think that's one way they can remain consistent with their messaging and with where the industry is headed, while still satisfying EA's greed for more $.

Yeah, I guess I could see that. Weapons and maybe customization on generic characters like stormtroopers and droids makes sense to me. I think LucasFilm could limit options for hero characters like Rey or Vader, but it's hard to say since we haven't actually seen much for games since the Disney take over.

I wonder if we're going to see a lot of Jedi since we're going back to the Clone Wars era. I am interested because of Star Wars, I'm just wary of how EA is going to fuck it up.

 
Are there any comparisons out there for Legend of Kay on 360 vs PS4? I would think PS4 version would be quite better but I'm not seeing any performance videos out there. $3 is pretty good... but maybe I should wait for $2 or GWG since it will sit in the backlog.

 
Picked up Forza 6 Ultimate Edition for $45 and kinda disappointed that while it includes the 6 Car packs from the Car Pass, the VIP car pack and the Fast/Furious car pack, it does not include another 6 add on packs.  C'mon man, make Ultimate worthy of the title.

easy here too, especially if you have the blizzard mountain DLC. i found the airborne pass one easy to get with the long downhill race starting near the summit of the mountain. a couple ramps along the way to try it out. then just jump around a few places for the crash landing one and two wheels one. there are enough trashcans around the few houses on the right hand side of the map to get the other one too.

 
I ended up barely getting anything from the spring sale. Dishonored Definitive, Deadlight, and Pure Chess. There were lots of other games I was interested in, but they are either on sale often enough (Dead Island collection, Shadow of Mordor, Witcher's last DLC, etc) or I'm waiting for a lower price (Lego Worlds, Quantum Break, Dishonored 2, etc).

Maybe I'm just crazy, but the idea of a point-and-click adventure that lasts 15 hours is not appealing to me, haha.

I finally started the Blizzard mountain DLC today. After the Forzathon. There was some trail race which had a jump in it in the main game. First race I didn't time it right so there were no cars to pass. Second time I stayed behind a pack of cars and missed the pass. Rewind and hit the pass on the next attempt. I too went to the upper right hand side of the map to run into the trash cans. Then off roading a bit to get the other two stunts.

The little I played of Blizzard mountain it looks like fun. Will play that later tonight or tomorrow.

Considering that FH2 Complete addons pack thing and eventually picking up FH2 at some point. Amazing how much fun I am having with FH3 considering I never really cared for driving/racing games before. Will download the demo to make sure it is something I would play.
