Played the first few levels on unleashed 2, some of the enemies are annoying but it's a solid game all around, I remember when it came out hearing about a bug that deleted saves so hopefully thats not still a problem

 
Never thought I would say this but I definitely enjoyed playing Tomb Raider a second time through more than the Uncharted games. And I love those games.

It's funny, Uncharted took the premise of Tomb Raider and revamped it for modern times, and then TR got rebooted with a lot of the same gameplay elements and cinematic style which made Uncharted so great. I love both, though.

I mentioned a few days ago that not many people or sites were talking about Outlast 2. I've had a chance to play it for a couple hours since. *RECEIVED GAME TO REVIEW SO BIAS DISCLAIMER*

I'll be writing a full review after I complete the game, but so far 5/5. Huge improvement from the first.

Environments are more open, collectables are fun to collect (video recordings), enemies are scary, like Outlast 1 5/5 atmosphere, interesting story, and no glitches.

I can see the story going south later, so I'm expecting a 4/5 by the end.

I'm not sure when it happened but the backwards compatibility tax has been applied to Dead Space 3 at GameStop. I picked up a used copy on Friday for $4.99 and now I see they have raised the price to $19.99.

They started charging that over the weekend. I just received 3 copies I ordered Saturday while the price was still 4.99 online :)

 
I rewatched Prometheus last night after all the discussion in this thread and I liked it even more than I did the first time. Now I'm super hyped for Covenant, and whatever else Ridley Scott is dreaming up in his nightmares.

DS2, too. It was $10, now it's $25. Glad I got disc copies in advance of the price hikes.

Considering Far Cry 4 was almost a remaster of Far Cry 3, that doesn't interest me much at this point. I loved FC3 but tired out on 4 since it felt like a lot more of the same.

 
I am having minor burnout playing Far Cry : Primal.
It's ok, but, 3 is still my favorite.  Either because it was superior or first, not certain.

Haha. In all seriousness, I actually enjoy it a lot. It's similar to Overwatch, but I like it more because it's faster paced and the characters' gameplay is more customizable -- specifically, there are "loadouts" for each class that you can use to customize your abilities based on the way you want to play (want more health?, want free bullets for dealing x damage?, etc.) and there are perks you can buy during the game to further enhance how you play (do more damage to shields, faster cooldown for abilities, etc.).

3 is the best that's just a fact lol

4 was a good but lesser 3 other than the yetis which was an awesome fun time for casual killing sprees

Primal is cool because it's different enough to not be the exact same thing over and over

I still want a far cry Jurassic park type game or for them to make another dino crisis and "borrow" far cry style gameplay

I'd definitely play a remaster of Far Cry 3. The story was meh, but the combat was the best of the series imo. I recently rebought a physical copy from GameStop just so I'd have it in perpetuity.

The story was as bad as the gameplay was good. When FC3 went BC, a bunch of people were talking about how great they thought the story was, and I was dumbfounded. I've never seen a more unlikable group of NPCs, and the villain reminded me of an even shittier version of Nero from the 2009 Star Trek reboot. And that's before getting into all that stupid hyper-sexual African mysticism.

 
I've seen this stuff before and I still think it's fair to say they took some ideas from OW, even if some things are older than both games and they're both clearly inspired by Team Fortress 2. Obviously OW isn't entirely new ideas, but I do think some elements were lifted by Paladins after seeing them. Some characters a near identical and some characters had their abilities mixed and matched.

Also the digital foundry eye has made me notice some frame drops/oddities on griffin. And the cabs in the background are driving at 30fps lol

And my guess is the card packs are going to be microtransaction city.

Either way looks decent for $20.

I'm down, as long as the rest of the game doesn't revolve around infiltrating camps, skinning animals, etc. yet another time. It was cool in Far Cry 3 but got stale in Far Cry 4. Although FC4 gets points for elephant-aided killing sprees.

I'm wondering if the DLC will be available too, I already own the base game but have never seen a decent sale on the SP. I love Destiny and would love to try one of their raid to see if it's worth it. The free one was trash

College Slam for the Sega Genesis had a lot of different stuff, like floor hot spots you could shoot from and get more points than normal. It was a good/underrated game, and it sounds like maybe they're doing something like that.

That said, the game looks like a slower NBA Jam, and that's not a great thing. The speed/frantic play of Jam is part of what made it so much fun. Jam was a mess, panic-inducing at times while playing. This looking slower, I would imagine it'll suck some of that magic out of the experience.

 
Thanks for all the food suggestions everyone. I'll make an itinerary soon which will include stopping into some retro video game shops too. Heard The Exchange is good and there's several in the Pittsburgh area.

Happy the Geometry Wars games are BC now. GW2 was my fav

The original was quirky to play to begin with. I never played it more than an hour TBH. But I don't see it holding up well in gameplay.

It's one of those games that really needed a remake and not a remaster IMO. And we know where that went... :(
 
So... I've seen some of you guys posting about pinball tables in the past and I've kind of always kinda bypassed them... but now I'm curious...

It's Pinball FX 2 correct?  Is it good?  

I downloaded it for the 360 and the One (for free)... and if I buy the 360 versions of tables, I get the One versions for free, correct?

yes, buy on the 360 first.

FYI - there are some tables that will not get the X1 upgrade but all the Marvel and Star Wars I believe are.
