Boys will unfortunately be boys (and I'm not excluding myself from that comment).  I am at times surprised we haven't driven off all the ladies from the thread.  Well, if they really are ladies.  You know what they say about the Internet - the men are men, the women are men and the children are the FBI.

Forgive me, backlog, for I have sinned.  Had one of my biggest achievement days in a while.  Knocked out 17 of them in the Hot Wheels DLC today.  Need to find some more bonus boards, the rest I need are race related.  Was actually able to get 3 stars on all the stunts, even the drift zones.  Found ways to cut the route short on a couple Bucket List challenges, was ranked #25 and #45 on their leaderboards, at least at the time I completed them.  Also knocked out the FH3 weekend challenges, plus got an achievement in the Win10 Solitaire collection.

Watched some footage and I can't say I'm particularly impressed. I also think the storyline is a little too cliche for me. The whole thing just seems like steps backwards, but I guess I'll find out for sure once it's inevitably Humble Bundled or made GWG.

As for Dennings, as other people have noted she's attractive to the point where I imagine it helps her get roles but she's not a particularly amazing actress. Her career'll be fine though.

I never understood the whole having to like the team by you think, like, aren't we supposed to have the freedom to choose! Also that Raiders of the Broken Planet beta is actually pretty dang fun, too bad none of my friends signed up and I have to play with randos.

Women completely confound me. Misogynstic talk is the only way I can cope with that, but I also understand that there are limits. Therefore, I made sure that I didn't say anything bad enough about Kat Dennings to get myself banned from CAG, but in real life, I pretty much avoid these types of conversations with anyone. I just think most of this stuff in my head. I grew up during the glory days of the 1990s during the gangsta rap era, and that pretty much informed my outlook when it came to women, to this day. And gamegirlpocket is the only woman gamer that I've ever encountered anywhere other than the supposed women gamers who work at GameStop. So, I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is here to not upset her. Twist a rubberband around my testicles four times?

While they dident make the playoffs they did win 11 games that year. Most seasons that would of given them atleast a wild card spot. Winning 11 games and missing the playoffs is kinda rare.

Lot's of stuff I'm sort or interested in but nothing that's a day one buy. I'm not much into fighting games but the graphics, the backgrounds specifically in Injustice 2 look really good. The Surge looks like a Mass Effect Dark Souls but it's also from the Lords of The Fallen makers so hard sell at $59. Shadow Warrior 2 also looks like insane mayhem with some element of Borderlands loot drops, but I thought you had to have a really beefy PC to push it. The price is right but I'll wait for some reviews on that.

What a bunch of arbitrary nonsense. What if you're born in one city and move to another at 1? 2? 5? Where's the cutoff? What if you like US sports but you're a military brat that lives overseas? What if you dont have a local team, you choose one reasonably close by, then an expansion team comes closer after the fact?

People can root for who they want. Who cares?

Exactly, they still did extremely well that year. I think it was more about other teams in their division smelling blood than anything. And I'm not selling Brady short, I'm just saying Belichick isn't given enough credit and Brady is given too much. If it was just Brady and the rest of their team was "normal" ok. But their team is anything but normal, it's full of rejects from other teams, late draft picks, and specialty guys. Only other team lately that's done anything remotely similar is kind of Seattle with most of their stars either being late picks or coming from other teams where they weren't doing so hot.

While we're on the subject, though, there are at least two other women who post semi-regularly in this thread, but their usernames don't identify them as such. There's this weird assumption to defaulting everyone to male unless its stated otherwise, and a lot of women avoid outing themselves as women to avoid people making a big deal out of it. Point being, you've likely encountered other women who play games.

The other thing is, I've found IRL that men often don't bring up gaming with women because they don't want to be seen as nerds or worry it'll be seen as a juvenile hobby, and other women I know don't bring it up because they don't expect people to share their hobby. A friend I know in my program is a huge gamer, but I didn't know it until she posted on FB looking for people to play GTAV with, because all we ever talked about was grad school.

You and your friend are a rare breed. Most of the women I've dated during adulthood saw my gaming interest as a threat to them and their time even when it wasn't. I would love it if I met a lady who even tolerates the hobby, but most don't, so for the moment, I choose gaming over dating.

And before anyone gets upset, calling you a rare breed wasn't a reference to breeding. I go to a specific sub-Reddit for those discussions.
 
My bad if it was offensive when I said she looked like a Pro, thought she was going for that kind of appeal on the show.

For this week The Surge look cool, but will wait for it to be under $20. Shadow Warrior 2 also looks good, but ill hold off on that too.

Considering Farpoint for my PSVR, since it's like $64 after gcu for the game/aim controller bundle and a few more games announced they'll also use the aim controller

Yeah, no. I come from a whole family of Raiders fans. Was born in Texas, lived in LA during the Raider years, moved to North Carolina before the Panthers became a team. I'll root for the Panthers but I ain't gonna be no Cowboys/Texans fan.

It can get a bit repetitive. Played half with friends and half solo. Did all the main missions. Only trophies left are collectibles and kill 7 enemies with a mine. Probably will get plat.

Probably pick up the one DLC that is out and play it co-op.

Not as over the top as Just cause 3. Runs tons better and four person co-op is a blast.

No thanks. I've lived in my Los Angeles my entire life and I'm a diehard Falcons fan. Heck I have a team for almost every sport and none of them are even from California

NBA - Denver Nuggets
NHL Chicago Blackhawks

NCAA FB - Virginia Tech Hokies

Football- NE Patriots
Baseball- Boston Red Sox
Basketball- Boston Celtics
Hockey- Boston Bruins
Soccer- US Women's team
 
All I get from alot of responses to my post is theres alot of bandwagoners, surprised it isn't the usual bandwagon fan though who roots for Cowboys, Lakers and Yankees.

As far as "locker room talk" everyone's just keeping it real Kat Dennings only got that role because of her titties but were not allowed to point that out. And women are just as nasty as men they just try to keep us from hearing it.

No love for the revolution? They're probably the team I'd be most interested in going to see besides seeing the bruins again.

I'm not big into watching sports but when I do it's always Boston teams. The only person I know that's into watching games and isn't a Boston fan moved here from out of state and he supports teams that are from all different states.

Well first of all she's dead (happy Mother's Day everyone!) and I think she'd already be ashamed I'm 30 years old and still playing video games (and making cosplay, but that's beside the point) so she'd only be more ashamed I'd be posting in a video game forum about finding cheap games. It's a no win situation is what I'm saying.

Also she can't read English well so she'd already assume everything I'd be saying is crass and awful (like me!).

Worth every penny, don't read any info on the game before playing. I can't guarantee you'll like it, hell I don't think I like it, but this game fucks with you on a level I haven't seen since Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube.

On the topic of sports, I'm from Indiana and I hate all my local teams and all the local sports fans as they are almost all band-wagoners. Everyone is a Colts fan until they start losing. My favorite year was the year before Luck came to town as I could go to any bar and not have to deal with any idiots. Everyone around now when it comes to MLB has "always been a lifelong Cubs fan". fuck that noise, a lot of these are the same people that were saying they were Cardinals fans the last time they won. Indiana is a terrible sports state. Granted my choices don't make a ton of sense for my geographic location but I definitely wont be considered to be on a bandwagon.

I live near the Indiana/Ohio Border and come to town for Pacers games a few times a year, great arena

 
I was born and raised in Mexico, didn't move to the US until my sophomore year in college, so I have no geographical allegiance in American sports. I like the Miami Dolphins, Boston Celtics, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Duke Blue Devils. Once I moved I also adopted my alma matter's teams, my wife's alma matter team's (Texas), and the San Antonio Spurs, but aside from those three teams I can't stand any other teams in the great state of Texas
 
I was born in Indiana, moved to Texas at 3, moved to California at 10, and moved to Colorado at 19 and have been here 10 years. I cheer for the home team, the place I call home, Colorado, because I think sports are best experienced with a community. I like being able to go-to games and watch them in person, so that's how I chose.

Born in Texas, moved to Hawaii at 4, moved to California at 8, moved to Texas at 12, moved back to California at 16. Now I'm living in Georgia as an adult. Both of my parents are retired from the Navy. :)

I've never understood this phenomenon, at least as an adult. If you're going to date someone and gaming is a big hobby, it's going to come up eventually. If they don't like it or aren't at least accepting of you liking it, then why bother going down that road? In early conversations with anyone new, I try to at least touch on all of my hobbies, if that person has that in common then it's just one more thing to talk about.

Though I guess to be fair, I'm usually wearing a game related shirt, and my Princess Peach tattoo on my forearm would give it away anyways, so hiding it isn't much of an option anymore.
