Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.
[*]ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...

The FAQ says you can play offline for 30 days. Not sure how it tracks the 30 days if you're offline, but that's what it says. After 30 days, you'd need to reconnect so it can establish that you have an active Game Pass account.

For those that were asking about Xbox Live Rewards for last month, I just checked mine today and my account is finally reflecting my awards for April correctly, and actually shows that I got the Retro Rewards reward in May.

For those that haven't played ACIII before, just be prepared to play at least a three hour tutorial prologue before you even get to the main character and that might be on the low end of estimates.

Thanks for the heads up, woah I have just over 4,000 credits now. Nice.

This Game Pass being rolled out now for Gold members makes a little sense for what I saw last night. I had almost all of a sudden 5 titles in my Ready to Install that weren't there. Multiple of them were ones I had just picked up like Ms. Splosion Man, Grid 2 & XCOM: Enemy Within and aahhh they're part of Game Pass.

Not so much actually purchasing a game more than once but having several ways to have access to it:

He buys it digitally, but then it becomes GwG so he either paid for it when he could have gotten it for free or it was a wasted GwG title for him, and then it is part of the game pass so he wasted his money with buying it or wasted his GwG... maybe
This is exactly what i'm talking about. Consumers like me (and I suspect many others) will begin getting very frustrated when there are so many ways to buy/own/access games and get disheartened when they see the same game "paid for" multiple times through multiple services. As an Xbox One owner, I can now "own" games by buying them at a store, buying them online, getting them as GWG, getting them from the Game Pass, getting them from EA Access service, and probably some other means I haven't thought of or new services that haven't been announced. It's starting to get overwhelming with so many services and options. On PS4 it's similar with their PS Now service, etc.

I suppose it's no different than owning a movie that you see show up on cable and Netflix, so maybe this is just the new reality that we live in. Of course, people are getting rid of cable because of Netflix, right? So, for example, when do people drop GWG because of Game Pass?

Never because of online multiplayer.

I actually love that list of games in the game pass. I'll definitely sign up for a month or two, play some games I've always wanted to try (jump jet rex, lumo, etc...).

Yes, in the long run it may be cheaper to just buy those couple games I'm curious about, but I'm a cheap ass gamer, not a genius-ass gamer.

Delisting Alert!
Young Justice game just got yanked from Steam, most likely due to the new season coming up.
Wouldn't be surprised if the console versions are next.

I think most of us have already cursed MS for giving us a GwG title which most of us have already paid for but this should have been expected since the 360 was released in Dec 2005 and GwG started in June 2013, that's 7.5 years of gaming. The main purpose of GwG was to give a bonus to those who were already Gold members and not to piss off anyone. I think at this point most of us just expect and accept that we will probably already have 1 or all of the GwG titles each month. As for the game pass, it's not worth it for me since have most of the titles either through buying them or getting them through GwG. I might try it for the handful of games I don't have if I ever have enough time to finish them within the month. Either way, I will continue GwG since I will either own them (360) or have access to them (X1) whenever I want.

The only ones who will really benefit from GwG or the Game Pass are those who have just started playing on the 360/X1 but they also don't have the years of gaming enjoyment we already have.

FYI - I got a $1 gold/month offer on my X1. It's been a while since I've seen this so I don't know if it's because I my Gold expired or if it's somehow tied into the Game Pass.

While obviously they win out if they can generate an outcome where you forget you have something and get it again, it's simple, make a list.

So I think I completed the quest for the skin...maybe?

Is it made available to me as a code or as an in-game reward?
The skins will be awarded some time in June, since they'll be added to the game with the June update. Site said expect up to 2 weeks after the update, should appear in your inventory one day when you start up the game.

tuned in to get the Longshot, LMFAO @ some dude randomly QUITTING on one of the all-star teams. WTF??
He apparently lagged out, but was able to rejoin.

So if I have XBL credit loaded on my account and want to buy a 360 game, the only way to do so is from an Xbox 360? Not from an Xbox One or a PC browser?

DC is launching their own streaming service (date TBA), but they've announced that it'll have Young Justice season 3 and a live action Teen Titans show as part of their exclusives,
It's been done for a while, they just need to dig it out of the Teen Titans basement.

I still don't see the complaint, I suppose you can not have gold and just have game pass and that will clear up a lot of the GWG issue for you? You can scrutinize every single purchase you make and think will this one day be GWG or Game Pass and will I feel ripped off that month? I just can't see a problem with more choices. Are you like a min/maxer, you may be the cheapest ass gamer.

Motherfucking Architect on ME Andromeda are a bitch to take down and im playing on hardcore. Will eventually do insanity but just getting my feet wet atm.
I was too low level the first time I found one but they basically just became grinds that took too long farther into the game. Probably depends on what abilities you're using too.

Very much so, it took like 30 minutes to kill the damn thing (when I didn't die and have to start the whole boss sequence over again - god they needed boss checkpoints so bad for those). I did a better exchange the next time but I died from extreme environmental conditions!

I used to hate going through the Praetorian segments in Mass Effect 2, the Architect is that for Andromeda for me.

Even as a Vanguard with Warp Ammo, and then later as an Adept with Warp who took Miranda with me everywhere, the Praetorians were the most annoying enemies in the game.

Would be the most annoying in the trilogy if not for Brutes in ME 3

I thought getting the digital version of Tales from the Borderlands would have helped make it playable on the 360 but nope.  It runs so shitty it is should be a crime that TT even was allowed to release it.

"Looking for some new games to play this summer?"

Eh, nah I'm good (BC sale).

Tuchanka...

Shivers.

Thank you! I feel like more people shit on AC3 then revelations and unity, even though AC3 is far superior to those games.
Whoa! Whoa! Let's not go crazy here. AC3 has a dumb, dumb angsty character who makes incredibly stupid decisions and really hard to give any shits about. Whole Revelations just gave terrible gameplay choices and in turn more boring dull as a brick wall Desmond sections (while AC3 at least ended that story arc). Regardless, both were a low point, but at least AC3 let me put my years of assassin training...in hunting 20 beavers for a single damn pouch. Why? Iuno.

Just watched a few gameplay videos for Destiny 2.  It has been awhile since I last played Destiny but man it is hard to tell if anything has changed much.  It definitely felt more like an expansion than truly the "next" Destiny game.

Finally was getting back to Prey tonight. Still very early in the game (not long after where the demo ended) but am getting hammered with crashes and freezes. Didn't remember reading or hearing too much about problems like this in the console versions. Thought it was the PC version that had issues.
