Might be why they're giving out legendary packs if it's going F2P. Didn't it already go F2P on PC?

I paid $5 for it and spent about 30 minutes with it. Definitely prefer Overwatch (which I also haven't played in a while).

I'm installing my disc finally now in case there are more bonuses for playing before the F2P hits. Unfortunately there is a 31 gig update. Maybe the game itself won't go free until E3, but I don't really see it's announcement fitting in at any conferences.

You realize that with Xbox One that you only need 1 gold account? Your system has to be set as the home console and everyone else playing on that console will have gold as well. Just create a couple of extra live accounts for your console.

Played Battleborn for about an hour last month after getting the digital deluxe version for$18. Not bad but I have so many other games I need to complete that I put it on the back burner. It's worth playing for sure.

Anyone know if CoD Ghosts DLC packs still have a decent player base? Specifically for the Extinction mode, which is so much fun.

Gearbox/Pitchford/2K must be terrified of the words Free-2-Play. Maybe because of Evolve or Pitchford's pride. The model is exactly the same as all the other F2P MOBAs, except it actually has a story mode to lock away.

At least 2K was smart enough to put it on all platforms at once this time, but they have a lot of competition. On consoles alone I'd say they have both Paladins and Smite filling a similar niche. I guess they're betting everything on people either really liking the gameplay or their mostly hideous characters. I'm not going to complain though, I should have all my disc content unlocked, and now there will actually be people playing multiplayer for the next couple of weeks. I'm just curious if it will have a similar flow to Evolve's free transition. It got a huge spike with the highest number of players it ever had, then dropped down to about 5,000 within a month, which was apparently not enough to continue putting money into support or bothering with transitioning the console versions.

Maybe I'll be surprised and have fun with it, I know it's had a lot of updates. I just didn't like what I saw in the beta.

They're all pretty fun but dead right now. I played them a lot on 360 years ago, then upgraded to X1 recently but never completed any of them because of lack of players.

3 players on Nightfall. 5 on Mayday. Noone on Awakening. 12 on Exodus.

Apparently, buying the main game or SP on 360 would grant you the same license on X1, while with Ghosts you needed to "purchase" the X1 version of the SP for free (basically like Minecraft X1 was like 5$ for X360 owners). I don't know if it still works, the description on X360 still says that:

Xbox One Season Pass Guarantee is also included - so you can access all Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Season Pass content on Xbox One as well.

 
Looks like you do get stuff for having played before the update. You can also unlock the 5 DLC characters with in game credits now too.
The bonus cut off was playing before today, I should have installed when I picked it up a few weeks ago.

Yeah everyone was unlocked for me outside of the DLC characters. But with the credits I was given I was able to buy them all.

So not sure what I ended up losing during the transition. Maybe just my dignity and space bucks that were spent.

 
I picked up the digital deluxe of Battleborn back in January and played a little. It is definitely worth checking out. I'm waiting on this massive 30+ GB update to see all these bonuses though.
 
I also picked up Battleborn in January. I played through the entire game with my brother. Didn't have a problem at all until we got to the last level that is the only level clearly designed for more than 2 players. We got rolled hard multiple times by the boss and after continually looking for a group to play online with to finish the game and finding no one, we both gave up and uninstalled.

Probably the worst gaming experience that I have had this generation.

I've always wanted to play Extinction, but I guess not bad enough to actually do it. Is it possible to solo it with bots, or is it basically Zombies but with Aliens and you can opt to play solo but get your ass handed to you?

Has anyone else noticed that if you are streaming your :xb1: to :pc:, anything you are downloading slows to a frozen molasses crawl, regardless of your internet speed?  Have I asked this before?

 
Wow a 33 GB update for ESO? I wonder if it would be any better for me to wait for my Morrowind CE to arrive and install whatever comes with that or if it's all the same.
 
Holy crap! Just got my Morrowind CE from Amazon. It's huge! Pretty sweet. Probably cost them the $23 I paid for it just to ship.

Gave the statue to my son. The leather (?) bound art book is nice as well. Honestly surprised they weren't charging more than the $99.99 MSRP for it. Have seen crappier CEs going for $120-$130.

Not that I ever would have paid even $100 for it.

Chances are your ESO is already up to date if it isn't currently downloading or queued to download (if you have it installed that is).

Just got mine too and my wife thought it was a console! Lol "Why did you get another Xbox?!" with a sprinkle of anger in her voice.

Still debating whether I should keep it or not. I could easily get into the game but that's both a problem and a curse. Not sure if I wanna commit the hours...I'll go to work and think about it.

Just grabbed mine as well. The front of the box is kind of comical and reminds me of the large print books you see at libraries or bookstores; it's basically the front cover art for a game, but huge. Amazon did a great job of packaging this, too. Tons of air bubbles, or whatever they're called.

Battleborn: might be interested in dipping my toes in if achievements are unlockable. Otherwise, eh.

Semi-interested in DA:I DE that's on sale, but for $5, seems to make more sense just to get a month of EA Access to play that and anything else in EA Access....

Yeah, the box is about the size of a console box.

I haven't been able to try it yet, but the code inside seems to include everything including the base game. So you may be able to sell the disc if you choose to sell as well (although I believe that IS just the base game).

Hoping that it does include everything digital. I'll test without the disc later tonight.
 
Gears of War 4 Rise of the Horde Update is enrolled..currently downloading (about 25 GB).

those 2 new difficulties though.... I'm just about to finish the Campaign on insane Solo....but doing a whole Ironman even in Co-op..mhh..die once and you have to restart the whole campaign...I mostly die due to stupid reasons like...ramming my bike into trees lol not bullets =P

Inconceivable sounds interesting, since you and your enemies have reduced health. Since I avoid damage in my current Insane Run as much as possible, it sounds kinda doable even with less ammo...

I've been playing TPS on PS4 for the last couple of days since I never touched it before either, and I'm not having as much fun with it as I did with BL2.

For example, on 360 I played through BL2 at least 4 times with 3 different characters. Once on PS4 so far. TPS is feeling like a drag though. Perhaps it's that the characters aren't as interesting or fun to play as (to me) or maybe it's that I always play solo. Though I never had a problem with soloing BL2, aside from never getting to do raid bosses.

TPS isn't very good. I have 100% on BL2 on PS3, PS4 and XBox One. Pretty close on 360 but never got all the achievements. Lost my game save so will never go back to it on 360 via BC. I think I have the plat on TPS on both PS3 and PS4 but never finished the DLC. Never even bothered to install it on XBox One. Maybe some day I will finish the DLC.

To be honest I a bit worried they will screw up BL3 pretty good. I wanted to like Battleborn the beta completely turned me off. Picked it up for like $5 or something cheap. Installed it but never got around to actually playing it.

I think the real problem for me on TPS was that I played so much of BL2 (which is one of my top 10 games of all time) that by the time I got around to TPS, I was kind of burnt out on the formula for awhile. TPS is definitely not as good, but it's not bad by any means.

It definitely isn't bad and it certainly does some cool/different things. It's just not even close to the amount of fun I had with BL2 and its character selection. I chose Jack for my first playthrough because the rest didn't seem all that interesting. Maybe I chose wrong. I don't know. Too late to start over now, I think I'm a few levels away from 20.

Same. I believe they have some built in QoS rule inside the One for giving priority to game streaming.

Borderlands 2 *might* be my favorite game of all time. My most played game on 360 that is for sure.

I played through BL2 on normal, TVH, and UVH modes. I actually got obsessed with getting Legendary gear, like I would think about it all the time. Watching the Yoteslaya (RIP) videos on YouTube, figuring out the best farming runs, etc.

I do not agree that The Pre Sequel "isn't very good" - it is just not as good as BL2 or BL1.

There is something about the Borderlands games that just sinks into me.

(I'm actually playing through them again w/ The Handsome Collection - nice bonus getting the achievements "again.")

 
^ Haha. Jimbo wasn't yelling. He was directing that comment at Gearbox. He is worried they will mess up Borderlands 3.

But they won't. It will be the greatest Borderlands yet. (Hopefully.)

Please update us on this. If the code actually includes everything I might end up keeping the CE and selling or trading the disc. GameStop lists the disc at $22 TIV.

I didn't care for the maps/level design. Nor the zero gravity stuff. I played the hell of out BL2. I can pick it up and play it at any time and have fun with it. TPS just isn't that interesting to me. Really no desire to play it. Anyway hopefully BL3 is awesome.

It really depends on who you talk to when you call or chat. If you are within the 2 weeks they should be able to issue the refund either way, but sometimes they are stingy about it. Just calmly explain why you want the refund and hopefully they with give you the refund no questions asked. How much play time you have on the game might be a determining factor as well, but they gave me a refund on Titanfall 2 after almost a month.

 
So I have something show up in my Ready to Install tab, Xbox Insider Hub. Is this part of the preview thingie - and if it is I opted out of that after getting sick of downloading updates all the time - or is it something related to E3?

Also just had to download an update for Halo Wars: DE after I decided I'd finally start it and play the original again.

I've never really enjoyed any BL games solo for long periods of time. Doing some side quests when I have the itch is one thing, but going through an entire game solo never appealed to me. TPS definitely feels more like... an expansion than a whole new game. BL1 to BL2 was a huge improvement on basically everything the first game did, TPS feels more like BL2 with some tweaks. I never finished BL2 but played enough of it (reached level 30 or so) that I'd rather play a fresh game than replay the first half of BL2 again. I'll go back to it eventually.

You couldn't have disliked TPS that much if you got the Plat twice! I'm definitely enjoying it more playing with a close friend. Also, she and her husband have been married for 5 years and I still haven't gotten to know him super well because he work all the time and is a stoic introvert. So I'm glad to have something all 3 of us can do, I will crack that rough exterior yet.

Yep, I can see that. TPS is similar enough in execution that it feels like a really robust expansion. For now I'm just happy to not be shooting bullymongs all day.
