Great game. Sure the RTS stuff was a bit sucky, but overall Brutal Legend was fun and the soundtrack is mostly incredible for being over 100 tracks.

 
Never got a message about it but I just randomly checked my install list and sure enough, Rare Replay is there waiting. Awesome.

That is pretty damn cool. Stuff people may have bought over 10 years ago may show up as playable on a previously dead platform, assuming the account stayed active / is the same. Also good news for the OG games currently on XBL via 360, hoping that means more digital distribution or even an extra GWG.

I remember Gears 3 having a mature content filter that turned profanity into radio static and blood into sparks. It's been 4 years since I turned it on while my oldest son was learning to stay in his bed at bedtime and I still find it amusing enough to keep it on.
 
Sorry to break up E3 talk, but can anyone give me a quick thumbs up/down on whether Battlefront Ultimate edition is worth $10. As bare bones as I've heard it is, $10 is a pretty bare bones price so it would seem like it tracks. Then again, I've been wrong before (Mighty No. 9 says hi!).

I'm probably biased because I've literally put hundreds of hours into it, but as long as the population is still alive (which I believe it is), it's easily worth the $10. The sequel isn't out yet, so you've got a couple of months to enjoy yourself before most people move on.

But since EA Access is free this week (which includes Battlefront with no DLCs), you should just play it for yourself and see what you think.

Easily worth it, it's not really that bare bones, especially with all the maps and modes they added, you can still find games in the DLCs easily as well, I've been playing a fair amount the last few days

Yeah, I realliy like this feature for similar reasons. The Treyarch COD games had it too (not sure about the newest ones). It seems like it's a simple thing that could be added to most games, but I guess the vast majority of gamers don't care and some would even act offended if it was an option. In fact, I fully expect some 18 year old know-it-all to respond to this post (as I've seen countless times this issue is brought up) and tell me why i'm an idiot and bad parent or hypocrite because i'll let my kids be around a violent video game but I'm too sissy to want them to hear profanity at the same time.

I think so. Someone on SD mentioned not having the trial option after redeeming the pass codes. Maybe it'll come back after your months are up. Then again, it might be for new users only and after redeeming a code you might not be new anymore. :)

You nailed it on the head. The crossplay for Minecraft & now Rocket League is a hella nice new pattern emerging.

Ubisoft is a prominent multi-platform developer so my money is the next big crossplay game will be from them.

I figured the month code would override the free trial, didn't even think about trying it. Oh well. I think 2 months is enough time to try out everything I thought looked worth playing.

It definitely works like that. I've had some friends and family give me their codes and I'm almost up to a year's worth of Xbox Games Pass because of it.

 
My two week Game Pass trial expires in three days, and I stacked 4 free months using my family's Tmobile Tuesday codes, so now it doesn't expire until October and I don't believe it overrode the trial.
 
Finally got around to starting Witcher 2 and fuck is the combat difficult. I switched the difficulty down to easy to see if it makes a difference and I'm still getting slaughtered everywhere.




But I did bang a hooker, so there's that.

yeah, Witcher 2 is really hard at the beginning of the game. For some reason the game starts really tough and then after a few hours it gets much easier for the rest of the game.

I LOVED this footage, but I absolutely DESPISED how the guy being hit could bounce off of an invisible wall behind him for the aggressor to continue is combo. That seems like strong pungent cheese (and not in a good way).

Think I'm reading this right but if I go from a fatty to an S things that I have on external drives don't have to be redowloaded/installed, correct?

Just going to start deleting and moving stuff off my current X1 internal to the externals to avoid the pain.

Yes, correct. No need to redownload/reinstall. It might take a minute or 2 for your S to read the external drives the first time you plug them in. Other than that, all good.

 
So do you blast Klan members in the new WOLFENSTEIN game as well? Cause that seems like something they would shy away from because its still a thing. Interesting  :whistle2:k

Figured out why I wasn't getting the free mixer stuff. Even though I registered on the android app uising my microsoft login, and it was showing my correct info on the xbox app, I still had to go to the actual mixer website and go into settings on there and link it again, which I never would have known since the website refuses to completely load or even stream any video on my pc. Had to go to a friend's house and use his pc to do it. The mixpot stuff showed up on my que about twenty minutes later. Well except for the warthog forza item, that doesn't show for me.

I'm probably in minority with this, but I had the same feelings towards dragon age inquisition. It was pain in the ass until I reached level 10.

I haven't played the wither 2 yet but it's in my backlog.
