  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Only reason I wouldn't want more tower defense is because I own them all.

Rented Batman Origins and got the multiplayer only disc. Cheese and crackers I hope Tomb Raider sale starts tomorrow night.

I think I saw it once on sale.I bought Decade Duel when it first came out and then I remember they delisted the game randomly and brought it back like a year later.I think I'm going to play it safe and get it now I don't want it to get delisted and then wait and see if it gets put up on the marketplace again.

Thanks. Any info on the card content ? I mean like how many cards are available aproximately. Been wanting to get back to YGO, but i want to know if this up to date with the current meta.

I'm not sure I've been trying to find info on the game but I can't find anything.I'll probably just buy it on Friday but from a picture on the dashboard it shows the Deck Editor and on the top right it says 6004 cards I'm not sure if that's all the cards in the game though.

 
I love when people hate on things they don't even watch, or even better when they bitch about how bad something is, then why are you still watching it?! And now there's Fallon hate too? Geez. Maybe the XBL forum should stick to whining about shitty game deals instead.

Exactly. MS technically didn't have to run this promo. Yes, it is to rival PS+, but still no one is pointing a gun to Microsoft's head and telling them to give out 2 free games out a month. Also aside from Crackdown and Gears 1, the games have been fairly recent titles. I expect the same for next month. May I say Ninja Gaiden 2 and Half Minute Hero?????? :pray:

 
Main reason for my picks is I don't own either game. I have Uno Rush's demo, and I'm not into sports titles but would be willing to try them for free. Same with racing games.

If we're talking games I already own that I'd like to see become free for others, I'd go with Serious Sam (I'd rather they did more than one game at once though like they did with Dead Rising) and Comic Jumper. GWG needs some comedy.

I'm assuming it is pretty close to updated considering Zexal is included in this game (but I have tried to download the demo yesterday and kept getting errors. Assuming it is working today). There's always DuelingNetwork which is free and let's you play online with other players (and they keep it updated quite frequently).

I ended up buying it yesterday though I haven't gotten to play much. I kept getting errors when trying to buy it through my console and ended up buying it through the website. Major Nelson tweeted about it being available this morning so maybe it just went up before it was supposed to.

Thanks. Hope it is. Yeah, i used to play on DN and YVD but with little time a patience i have i'm not ready to go full manual gameplay again.

I guess it depends on your definition of 'fairly recent'. But yes, I do agree that the program, even in its current state, adds value. We were already paying for Gold as it is. The price of the service has not gone up due to GWG. So even if they aren't rockstar games, I appreciate getting them.

Like launch titles. Many here (including myself) thought MS would throw only games from 2007-2009 at us, but to my knowledge Gears and Crackdown have been the only two "launch" title games to be given out free.

I didn't say I hated the man, just don't think he's that funny. And it's a shame that he ended up the Tonight Show instead of the person who arguably "earned" it because of all the nonsense that happened.

On-topic: Very odd how Millenium Duels has 200 GS. Means it was submitted before the mandatory bump which is odd because then that means it'd be less recent than the 5Ds game... which defeats the purpose of a card game, does it not?

 
Non deal related question - My 6 year old son loves the whole skylanders swap force game. I think the story is boring, but he loves it. My question is, is the Giants story a very different adventure that I should grab for him or are the stories basically the same? Thanks for the help.

I try and limit my snark to those who "have it coming" (e.g. tools who call out a group of people for having a civil conversation about TV shows we watch). Could be I'm quick to label people as "having it coming", but it's all in good fun (to me at least).

Yeah, none of the stories are that different, they all involve stopping Kaos. The gameplay - to me - is much more fun in SwapForce, but if you can find the others cheap and he likes them, I'd go for it. You just can't use SwapForce figures in Giants & Adventure.

The stories are basically the same, and actually probably a bit more annoying for an adult in the later ones. They are kind of funny now, Kaos was very annoying in part 1, then later you realize he is channeling Dr. Evil and it becomes very funny. It does NOT improve going backwards. Oh, and while you can skip much of it in Giants and Swap Force, one of the biggest complaints with the first one was unskippable cutscenes - so take that as you may.

Also, you might not like not being able to jump, Swap Force introduced it and you may not like going back to a much more restrictive level design and closer in camera (the first two were based off the capabilities of the Wii, it was the base platform).

They are good games, and if you have figures that were present in those, it's nice having more content for them, but the games have improved with age in noticeable ways.

I've been watching Fallon and his writers tearing it up since he got the gig so *shrugs*. I felt he never really had good stuff at SNL because SNL sucked.

Year, actually I was lying. There was a dashboard promo where they gave us a month free of Eurosport on Xbox. (So much for generosity)
Aside from that, they sent me an email with a link to an Xbox page with some fanart wallpapers dedicated to Halo, Dead Rising and other exclusives... I was actually better of checking Deviantart if I wanted a new wallpaper.

Backlog talk, I have been playing Fallout 3 recently and even though I ended playing 22 hours in 5 days I am still not sure if I am enjoying it. Actually I have been getting pretty nauseated playing it. Has anyone experienced any kind of Motion sickness or anything similar because of the game? I have been blaming the colors and the VATS slow motion transitions, because I've binge played games with similar FOV (Bioshock in a weekend and Mirrors Edge Hard in one sitting) and have never experienced anything like this, I mean, I get really nauseated and dizzy.

You probably should stop playing it or take breaks every 20 minutes or so. I didn't experience it with Fallout, but I have with newer Guitar Heroes and Thief.

I was playing during study breaks,so some of them were short sessions but I guess some breaks ended up lasting 2 or 3 hours with me trying always to push to the next level, side quest or bobblehead.

I seem to get lightheaded whenever I play Dead Rising 3 for more than a little while. Maybe related to all of the zombies on screen at one time. I've just limited myself to playing it in short bursts (I'll beat it one of these days).

Yeah that wasn't snarky or mean spirited at all. And my less snarky response to the convo about Walking Dead is that people who don't watch the show anymore really have no valid opinion.
 
I feel slightly light-headed playing Mass Effect 1. The whole motion blur thing doesn't help, regardless of it being turned on or off. 

I can't remember (and am too lazy to check) but was motionblur included in 2 and 3 as well because I don't remember feeling like this playing those games.

It was optional in two just like one.

 
I used to get motion sickness really bad with FPS', but not so much anymore.  Unless they are set indoors, then things get a little bad.  But Titanfall, Bioshock Infinite, etc. don't bother me at all.  But Mass Effect? Nah, that never got to me and thank God because it's my favorite series!

Only game that I can think of (not even the whole series) that makes me feel this way. Also, Shepard's derp-y running doesn't help either.

The film grain was more of an issue for me in the original than the motion blur ever was. Though, I do play with them both off.
