  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

For the Season Pass on ACIV, last day to buy the season pass to be allowed to upgrade layer or is it the last day to activate with your Xbox One version. My 360 copy is still on the backburner.
 
So i received a copy of Halo for the original Xbox and I'm about to play it on my Xbox 360. It comes up as "Unrecognized Disc". I try to clean it and I get the same result. I hit X for a status code and it gives me  Status code 03-57-00. 

Has anyone else received this code? Is the disc bad or is it not working because I'm trying to play it on a 360?   I tried other games and they work with no problem.

The web marketplace is starting to update.  Dark Souls occasionally shows as free when refreshing its Games page.

since they didn't specify a date for the Xbone releases, only said that it would begin in June, My guess would be that they will be June 9th so they can throw it out there at E3 along with the Kinect-less version. Just a guess, though.

The framework and atmosphere of the world are amazing, they just don't beat you over the head with exposition. A lot of Lordran history/anecdotes/lore is hidden, put in item descriptions and such. Funny thing is, a lot of people who've played Dark Souls missed like half the story. Let's just say you're definitely not going to get the full picture on your first playthrough.

Shadow of Mordor looks like it can be pretty dope though. Seems like a game that just had a license tacked on to it rather than the other way around. There's potential there.

 
This question has probably been asked / answered a few times, but I looked back a few pages and didn't see anything. Can I "purchase" the GwG games for the One on a PC, then download them when I get a system? I'm guessing the downloads have to be on an actual console, but I didn't know for sure.. I'm still debating between a One and PS4 with my target credit, but if I can stockpile a bunch of free games and grab a system on Black Friday or something down the road, that would pretty much make my decision for me

I've been putting it off in my backlog. I tried it a few months ago and spend 10 minutes just running and trying not to die by the very first enemy the game throws at you. Just not ready for that kind of punishment yet.

I can't say I disagree with that.

I never meant to say those were bad games, just that I felt like it was a waste of the dev's potential given their pedigree, and that another, more obscure dev could have been tasked with it. I really hope after this new game, that they can go back to their horror FPS roots. Would love to see a new franchise from them.

Don't know how often it goes on sale on XBL but it's a very rare sale (like once a year) on PSN.

Oh, and you won't see any of the content until you're well into the game. So if you're not sure if you'll even like the base game you can wait and figure that out first.

You didn't look hard enough. Yes you can. A bunch of people were able to "purchase" that golf game before they realized it's free now. :)

I'm guessing nobody knows. I don't have the Xbox One version yet and was wondering if I had to activate it on that version today or the 360 one. I'm guessing the 360 version but I don't want to get screwed.

hey guys, need some advice on edf 2025. loved 2017 and insect Armageddon, even though IA was a different developer. should i bite now, or wait for a price drop? since this was made by the original devs it probably won't be ported to pc, which IA was, and bundled :( any help is appreciated.

Just as a heads up, you can now "purchase" the games with Gold directly from Xbox.com. Just did it from my iPad. I don't always have my Xbox 360 connected so this is great news for me.

The June survey for XBL Rewards is up, and there's a new punchcard for using apps in June. Use a new app (not previously downloaded to your account) for 5 hours to get a punch, 5 punches is 2,000 credits.

Do you have PayPal or a credit card attached to your account? If not, cool that they got that working for everyone again.

Do you have a credit card/PayPal account linked? I just tried and it wouldn't let me download it

 
that Project Spark stress test thing was insane. The xp/credit bonuses were so good that I was able to get like 30,000 credits and buy a dlc pack. I almost have enough for a 2nd pack and in a few weeks when I get my rebate I can get a third...all for free.

I only spent an hour doing it so I wish I would've devoted more time to it. I saw a bunch of people managed to get 100,000 credits and buy all the dlc packs using only in game credits.

Just a FYI if you had a disc based dark souls save it's not compatible with the new GWG version. I'm sure MS is aware of the situation, but I had to put in my disc to play off my old save. Kept getting errors.

Obviously if you never played the game before It's not a big deal but just giving the heads up. Don't freak out, It's a known issue.

The real question for me still is this: Will you be able to get your free GWG X1 titles without owning a X1? IE buying them off xbox.com? Can you do that with the Vita/PS4?

If you mean not available for free, yeah But you can buy both through the website atm.

I have multiple friends who don't own a X1, but would be really happy if u can "purchase" the games on the website without owning a X1. I'm offering to have them put their gamertags on my X1, that way they can "purchase" the games on my X1 on their account and later download the games on their future X1 if you can't buy the games on the website for "free".
