  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Alice is well worth it. The game is a fantastic platformer and the action is quite solid. I think it was a huge sleeper hit, personally. It's worth a play whether it be disc or not. This is a good price for the game.

I believe 32 GB is the limit that it can utilize regardless of the external drive size that you plug into it. It doesn't matter if it's a 500 GB drive, the 360 only allows 32 GB to be used.

:sigh: I have some WWE Raw episodes that are taking 15 GB of space and plan on adding more vids. I just don't want to delete them and have to rebuy like I would on PSN.

I didn't realize you have to download Madness Returns in order to play the first Alice. So in reality you're paying $7.49 for two games. Not too shabby.

Should I buy Contrast now or wait for PS3/Xbox One/PS4 and get it there?

 
I'll play some Dead Island late night EST time. GT is DjDonFrancisco. I've got one lvl 10 character that I ran around with for a bit last night.

Amazon and Newegg often have sales on 32gb USB Keys. The Sandisk keys seem to work well. I simply purchased two 32gb Keys to give me about 60gb of additional storage. One key 32gb should be enough to offload your videos you described

Someone convince me to buy Crimson Dragon please? I wanted it before the Xbox One released, but after seeing it I didn't get it. Can anyone convince me its worth it?

I personally didn't care too much for the demo of Contrast. Something about it was just way too clunky for me, but I'm expecting it to hit PS+ for PS3 eventually, so I'm holding off.

Its an ok game. BUT. Dollars to donuts, that game will be the first GwG offering for X1. Or one of the first at least. So no I don't think its worth it.

Hmm...the console is only worth $250 according to the official rules.

I'm guessing the console is a 4GB, looks like an S model. I'm tired so it could really be an E model.

($180 just for the console. $70 for the modification. No visible extras except that it has glowing lights.)

Looks cool, wish Microsoft would release different color variations to their consoles that aren't high priced limited editions.

Fable sale more than likely. Since they kinda announced or hinted at one coming. One of the few rare times where a sale of past content in a franchise will coincide with a "new" installment within the time of release.

Why are you assuming $70 for the modification and $180 for the console? When they are assigning the value of the console for such contests/giveways of limited items, it might be $249 for the console and $0 for the cosmetic modifications. I'm guessing the latter is the case whenever the prize involves a "one-off" special version of a console. The "value" stated is just the same as the regular console.

I would't take much meaning out of the "Approximate Value", since they are just fulfilling legal requirements in spelling out the terms and conditions.

It's a Slim model and I would imagine it's a 250GB

Catherine is one of the strangest games I have ever played...and I LOVE it! I ended up buying the "Love is Over" Deluxe edition. It's a game that I will be keeping forever. It's such a bizarre experience, and the levels can get frustrating late. It feels great to overcome some of the harder levels tho. Catherine is well worth the price. It's a great game, and a very interesting story.

Possibly, but who knows. Otherwise the stuff on DotW Gold sales have been so random these past few weeks it's kinda hard to pinpoint what will go on sale in general.

 
I played through all the ME3 DLC this past week after picking up Citadel and have to say that I enjoyed it all. Citadel is massive fan service so that was cool. I'll probably play through the end of the game to see the Extended Cut and then I'll just have to beat it on Insane for my last 2 achievements.

Dang I'm still debating getting Dead Space and Alice. They'd be no brainers at $5. Didn't Alice have some technical issues? Or was that on the PS3 version?

I never ran into any issues with Alice on the 360 before I sold it, but I picked it up for $5 on the PS3 during a sale to play it again and I could tell right away it has not felt as polished as the 360 version. I dunno if it's just me or what, but that's my opinion.

 
Bought Citadel.  Just one more piece of dlc (Omega) to wait for a price cut on before I replay Mass Effect 3 with all the DLC.  Make it happen, EA! O:)

Just be aware that Omega is easily the weakest of the ME3 DLC. Unless you're a HUGE fan of Aria, the DLC didn't add anything more to the story or whatever.

 
Decided, based upon all the conversation here, to buy Catherine. It looks fun and it's good to throw some support behind game makers with new/interesting ideas. Looking forward to playing it eventually.

Would I be able to copy the videos to my flash drive, put it on the computer, and copy that file to a portable hard drive instead? I don't want to go through buying another drive.

I'll go with a Halo sale. I haven't heard anything from that series in a while (not counting Spartan Assault).

Contrast was already free for PS+ on PS4, I doubt the PS3 version ever goes free.

 
So the deal of the week is a Cleveland Steamer. That's a big pass! I'm plenty happy with my free copy of Sleeping Dogs, which is a billion times better than Grand Theft Auto anyway.

 
Yeah, now that I know this week is going to stink I may reconsider getting the kingdom of a amalur DLC. Does anybody have any opinions on those?

Yes. If you like the game, definitely get the DLC, they are both pretty good.

 
And for those interested in having a retail copy of the GTA IV Complete Edition, you can get it for basically the same price as buying all of this content on sale if you get it from Amazon.

I'm disappointed there isn't (so far at least) another sale running with the Deal of the Week.  Maybe we've been spoiled lately.
