  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Arcade games download queue - Ready. Off topic (Yeah, Monday night and trying to go off topic), i'm starting to feel a bit guilty about playing so much World of Tanks for free, the game is great and kind of addicting so i am considering spending some $$ on it (not too much) just to support them.

Yeah, get some friends together and it's a fun game.

BBT is a must buy at $5. Same with Alan Wake. Caste Crashers was extremely boring for me, but I have friends who liked it.

You can get the cards, but the ones you earn from playing are random & it's an insane grind to get the powerful rares. I played the original for tens of hours & could never get Mirror Force until I bought the pack it was in. There's an FAQ on Gamefaqs.

Another option is last month they put out theme decks for $4 each if you're more interested in playing a specific theme from the start.

Also, this is second sale on Magic '14, if you missed the previous one. Though I'd imagine Magic '15 will be out any day now.

For those asking Castle Crashers and Battleblock are both worth $5 asking price, easily.

Don't forget though, if you have a gaming PC, the Steam version is officially in Beta now, so it's coming soon.

Magic DotP 2015 won't come out until the summer when the physical core set comes out. It will likely debut at PAX East again this year.

Yup, one cheeve is unobtainable. They said they would issue a patch/update but never did and most likely won't. If anyone's a completionist, you've been warned.

 
The MP in Gears (all of them) are pretty trashy. Great ideas ruined by terrible programming and (with Gears 3) deteriorating online play where matches are determined by whomever gets Host.

I play Gears 3 every day and all it does is piss me off and I'm really bitter towards it.

Damnit. I haven't played as much 360 the past year but I hate unobtainables and I added this game to my card. Oh well guess Ill get the 380 and hope they lower the relic count down to 54 like they said that way it will be unlock able. Doubt they will patch it over just that though as I read its costly to release patches (especially when it would be solely for an achievement and nothing else).

What is your GT? I occasionally go through Gears 3 MP sessions where Ill play everyday for months then I get bored and play something else. Perhaps I would recognize your GT unless its StriderTurbulence cause Ive never seen that online. I play Team Deathmatch usually.

Horde was always the best mode in Gears 2/3.

Is the digital version of Halo Wars truly the Platinum Version with all the DLC? Because that's what's shown in the picture, but it's not listed that way in the description.

Bigger, better, and more badass. I liked Gears 1 just fine, but 2 was...EPIC. I've had 3 for over a year, and can't bring myself to finish it alone. It just felt like the series was running out of steam. Gears 2 was much improved, but you may still dislike it. Nice games on sale, too bad most have been sitting in my backlog for over a year.

 
Yeah some of Arcade's greatest hits there. The General Ramm DLC for Gears was really cool but I'm a Gearshead (so yeah I loved all the ones Epic Games did).

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is a great Metroidvania game and you can't go wrong at that price.

Battleblock Theater is great and is a steal at that price.

Yeah, I actually went on a few weeks ago and had no waiting, I was surprised. Of course all my opponents were from Mexico lol. Also I actually got my ass handed to me via the infamous Scarab/Engies combo.

I'm thinking of grabbing HomeRun Stars any opinions on this game? Also grabbing Halo Wars and Gears 3.... Looks like the best week in a while. I loved Alan Wake and at that price f**k.....why are you waiting? I also loved Sleeping Dogs and got it for $10 before it was free.....still it is worth this week's price for sure if you missed it on GWG.

What sickman said, word by word. There's no other game i put more hours into than gears2 horde mode, and i'm from the atari 2600 generation.

Great sales. I already own most of the things here, and what I don't own is stuff I don't really want. Gears Of War could never get into my liking, and I play a lot of TPS and FPS games, couldn't even get myself to finish the first one on GwG. Remember Me has a great price, I bought it full price and while the price dropped fast, no regrets for me, great game, brilliant atmosphere, music and nice gameplay. RE5 is somwhat tempting and so is Halo Wars, but I get the feeling I'd forever bury them in my backlog. Might pick up something from the arcades (Homerun Stars I already did, for under 1$ it's a steal probably), but these sales are generally pretty great, it's just that most CAGs likely have nearly everything they needed here, given it's mostly stuff that has been on sale a lot (and in many cases even free).

 
Charlie Murder is the most enjoyable beatemup I've played. It seemed like there was less of the constant stunlocking that is a staple of these kinds of games. Then again I didn't play on the higher difficulties.

I am utterly jealous of you as you get to experience this amazing game for the first time. It has to be said that Alan Wake was my favourite game of the Xbox 360 generation. What I loved most about it is that It does things and give you experiences that you can't do in any other medium other than video games. That's especially true towards the end of the game and in its amazing DLC. You definitely need to buy it and play it. It's also one of the prettiest games of the last generation and probably the prettiest looking 360 console exclusive (there is a PC version too). I've said this before when it's on sale, it's a game that spins loudly in the disc tray so it's one of those games you really need to install to a HD to enjoy anyhow, hence you might as well buy it GoD. It manages to mix horror, humour, action and suspense incredibly well. It is one of those games where it takes an hour or two before you really get into it. And once you do you'll just end up playing it all night. I can't wait to play through it again on Nightmare mode in a few months.

I'll also pipe in and say that GOW2 is heaps better than GOW1 and a million times better than GOW3. I actually didn't care for GOW3 at all, not even the multiplayer - again GOW2 outshines there IMHO as I disliked some of the tower defense additions to GOW3 and really hated Beast mode. GOW3 was a real tedious march through the campaign just to see how the story played out and without any spoilers the ending to GOW3 is rather meh and doesn't answer 90% of the questions I was hoping to get some closure on. I'm sure it's fun to 4 player co-op it (I usually play through it on my own) but with the addition of 3 added AI partners the game just seemed really easy on single player (other than a couple of sections that were just annoying and frustrating where I would die repeatedly due to crummy AI). Honestly I ended up just feeling like I was doing homework to complete the game and just wanted it over, spending a few hours a day until it was. It was just so boring - I wasn't even interested in trying for achievements as I hated spending one more minute with it. Once I beat it I took it out and gave the disc back to my nephew and swore I'd never play it again. So I'd recommend skipping GOW3 and just pretending the series ended with GOW2.

There are some great games on sale but I've already played everything I'm interested in and I'm not about to spend money putting yet more games I'll never play on my hard drive just because they are cheap.
 
As mmuch as i wanna buy RE5 it seems better if it was 5 and under

and i dont see any RE games ever being a GWG though

Guess I'm in the minority, but Gears 3 had my favorite campaign and I enjoyed what I played of the multiplayer (overall the series' multiplayer just didn't have staying power with me).

Was The Wolf Among Us Episode 3 supposed to come out today? I was playing last night and the Episode 3 page changed from "Coming Soon" to "Download," and clicking it brought up a download prompt, but it wouldn't start.

Pretty sure it's not until tomorrow. So it changing to download early was probably a mistake.

I hold out on Gears 3 season pass when it was on 50% sales almost two years ago. Now it is 67% off. lol Time to 100% Gears 3.

I was thinking about getting GoW 3 until I looked at my pile of shame and saw I'm still sitting on GoW 1 and 2 unplayed for 2 years now

Other than the ending, I agree with you. As for the multiplayer, I sucked at all Gears multiplayer to begin with but it still has a pretty good community, the only bad thing being a lot of the playlists now require DLC to play.
 
I hope to hear some opinions on Strike Suit Zero tonight ;)

Three X1 games launched today and I want them all. Killer Instinct gets a big update tomorrow as well.

 
All three Gears campaigns are great, but if I had to choose a favorite then 2 might narrowly edge out 3. Horde 2.0 in Gears 3 is up there with Borderlands and Left 4 Dead in my favorite multiplayer experiences of the gen.
