  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Hopefully this week sale is better than past two weeks! If not, I'll be looking forward to Super Time Force. That game looks awesome.

I'll be working on my backlog while waiting for the evening....playing RAGE. The game's not bad so far.

The Scorchers DLC is great, especially since it's only $5.

 
Monday is more like Blind Date, you never know if you'll be dissapointed by the end of the night or not and as it is usual with blind dates you'll end up wishing you didn't wait so much on it.  

 
I'm going to guess the sale will be for a few random indie games and 50% off some DLC for a racing game no one has played in two years.

Idk what corner of the internet you were hiding in prior to the GwG outcry, but there was always plenty of whining going on about PS+'s "rentals" and how all Gold members got were silly sales and access to streaming services that they 'were already paying for.'

The digital grass has always been greener for as long there has been other digital yards to gawk at when it comes to these two services.

Allow me to impose this question onto you. Is the game on the terror level of either Dead Space 1 or 2? If not I might just play it and do a speed playthrough so I can see what the fuss surrounding the game is all about.

 
Alan Wake is my favorite game of the last generation, without a doubt.  I really didn't find it terrifying to be honest.  More of a Stephen King scary as opposed to like Clive Barker...I guess you could say.

Hmmmm... terror? I don't use to be frightened by games, I didn't with Dead Space 1 but I admit I was in tension some times (haven't played 2, it wasn't necessary imo).

I was in tension at some points in Alan Wake as well and the sensation is more pressing, if that means something, and the story is more interesting and deep than Dead Space 1, which is pretty Alien'ish [customspoiler=about the ending]with a twist in the end, for the best[/customspoiler].

The most terrifying game I've ever played is Hellnight for PSX. A game where you only get to run like a bitch without almost any chance to fight back.

It isn't one of my faves from last gen, but I like the game, and liked the story as well. It's a good game.

PS3 is my main system, but I'm really tempted to pickup the Transformers games since they're so cheap for 360. I wonder why they aren't that low for PSN's sale.

Anyway, are the Transformers games really good and do you think they're worth the price on XBL?

Okay, this is just brilliant. We now need to add this "Monday blind date night" mechanic into our CAG game Marriage. Then depending on how the date/sales are that night, this will be how the date goes in the game.

Age of Booty was on sale for $2.50 a few times, so it may be in the "what the hell, at that price why not" part of some CAGs' backlogs (it's in mine). Be sure to check.

Unless it was in the S&S app, doesn't look like Flock! has been on sale from its $15 price in its 5 years on the marketplace.

I'll add a notice for these to the OP tonight when I'm updating with the sale info.

Well I found it funny that the DLC but not the games is on sale on PSN right now and the games but not the DLC is on sale on XBL right now. Of course War isn't on PSN digitally.

Flock is also on that Capcom Essentials Disc that I'm sure a lot of CAGs have laying around. A quick glance at XA.com suggests that none of the achievements require online though. I think the only thing online in that game is a level-creation system, so it's not a huge thing to miss out on.

 
Buying Sacred citadel and Scourge: outbreak. This one is not great, true, but i'm sure i've paid more for crappier games.

 
With some Xbox Live Rewards money I got myself all the texture packs for Minecraft this past weekend. Not sure which ones I'll use but for less than 50 cents each of free money, I can't say it was money wasted for sure. Looking forward to the "proper" sales coming up shortly. My collection (just to avoid calling it backlog for once) grew at such a crazy rate lately that I don't even know what to wish for at this point, besides the usual utopia of a bullet hell sale. But they'll probably throw in a shitty ass arcade game that, however, costs like a buck so I will buy it anyway. Yay!

When I can start getting that extra 10 points a day from Bing Rewards (WP), I'll be buying crappy games all the time too :) I think it adds up to a little over $100 Xbox bucks a year unless Bing Rewards has a limit.

EDIT: I predict Sonic sales for tonight
