  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

I got it at the last sale for this same price and wasn't impressed. I've played quite a few of the racing games that have come out since Midnight Club and I think it just didn't hold up well, even though it isn't really that old. I lost interest really fast. For the price, though, it might be worth it just for an evening of screw-around driving.

Played through TR on 360. Great game, but not sure if I want to invest another $30 for the X1 definitive edition.

Already have Strider, but definately recommend it at that price for those that don't own it.

Tempted to install TR from my disc then trade it into BB.

I'd end up paying around $6 to have one less disc to shuffle.  (keeping the case of course since I have the artbook version)

I need to calm down. Woosah. Well, in light of this new development, the difficulty for me to hold out until a discount on the physical Game of the Century edition increased given that the base game is pretty inexpensive now. However, I do not think the Season Pass includes all the amazing costume and weapons DLC packs just Enter the Dominatrix and How the Saints Saved Christmas with a few weapons, there's still some incentive for me to hold out for a complete edition.


After a pretty nice E3 for Xbox reinforced the idea that the focus is no longer on the 360 that I play so much on, I thought it would be a good opportunity to lower prices for all the content I want on the older system just to squeeze the last few dollars away from me. I know I have an extremely large backlog which should tide me over. The good news is that I actually fulfilled my New Year's resolution of finishing 2 games off my active 360 list over this past weekend (and discovered CAG's gallery section).

The Games with Gold, Super Street Fighter 4 AE offer should keep up my anticipation for EVO next month. I'm awaiting more great news then. I'm already plenty excited for the new character in DOA5U (and I think the last one will be available as DLC this week) along with the new characters in Dengeki Bunko FIghting Climax, and that Persona 4 Ultimax will be on the 360 along with confirmation Under Night In-Birth is console bound (I'm hoping for a localization). No matter how bad godawful I am at fighting games, I do love them.


Looks like another date night is mostly ruined for me because I am too cheap/broke to move on to a newer method to pick up dates =/

It may have already ended. The games themselves already went back up in price. AFAIK, can't check XB1 DLC from the web.

Last week had some extra stuff (Forza) added to the XB1 Deals with Gold later in the week, though I'm not sure if they ended early as well. Wonder if that's going to be an ongoing thing.

I tried playing Bully for the first time about 6 months ago (thanks to yet another rockstar sale) and could not get in to it. It felt very dated. It's set up like GTA, but seemed less, I don't know, interesting...maybe? Wasn't a smooth graphically and gameplay-wise as RDR or GTA4, but keep in mind it's originally a PS2 game, so it's fairly "old".

Yes, BUT the 360 version suffered from some pretty unfortunate issues that don't exist on the PC or original versions of the game, so I'd say grab it on the Steam Summer Sale as it's pretty much a guaranteed recycle around Steam parts.

Saints Row The Third Season Pass 50% off now $10 and Online Pass down to $5. Looks like Saints Row season pass sale for non gold and RockstarRecycle for Gold. I guess they realized the value we got with Charlie Murder & SSFIV:AE and thought "fuck it, that's enough, just relist the the season passes before everyone moves onto new consoles!"

some more Xbox One sales! Strider is half off and it's now $7.49 instead of $14.99. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is also half off and is now $29.99 instead of $59.99. Don't know how long these will be on sale for, but get them quick if you're interested in them. It's a deal for xbox live gold members by the way.

 
Just a tip, I don't recommend buying any indie games on The Bone. It's highly likely they're the first 6 months of Games with Gold on the console. That means you can expect Peggle and Striker and Strike Suit Zero and Nutjitsu and all of those to be free by the end of the year. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Peggle and Striker were on-sale because they will be the July or August GwG offerings.

If you meant Strider, you're probably wrong, as it's not an indie game (developed and published by Capcom). Could it be a GWG? Absolutely. Will it be a GWG anytime soon or anytime before all those indie or MS-published games? Doubtful.

 
Strider, never had the nostalgia but I heard it was a fun game and I really liked Shadow Complex, $7.50 seems like the sweet spot for me.

Ahh I see TR is digitally on sale again, interesting I might pick that up this time. Well looks like I'll have to pass on Grid Autosport this month. Eh if I wasn't playing the crap out of Forza Horizons I'd be sad about that.
 
Just bought Saints Row IV on sale last week, and since I'm loving it, I was thinking about getting the Season Pass - even full price, if necessary. 10 bucks ain't much for it anyway. Now it's down to 4$. Instabuy, since it allows me to play the whole storyline and also to get 100% achievements, just as I did with SR3 a while ago.

Also, Deadfall Adventures. I am considering it, despite the not so impressive ratings. Ever since I first saw a trailer for that game, something inspired me about it. For 10 Euros (as always, Europe getting the shortest straw here) I might just take the risk.

Just a tip, I don't recommend buying any indie games on The Bone. It's highly likely they're the first 6 months of Games with Gold on the console. That means you can expect Peggle and Striker and Strike Suit Zero and Nutjitsu and all of those to be free by the end of the year. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Peggle and Striker were on-sale because they will be the July or August GwG offerings.

I bet you're right about Peggle. It could even be GWG next month I bet. How many other XB1 games are available right now that could be GWG next month?

I bought Peggle 2 for for $5.99 and I've been enjoying it very much. I beat every level and every trial. I'm honestly itching to buy the DLC packs. PopCap must know that this game is like crack. Give em a taste and they will be loyal customers who keep coming back for more. There's no way in hell the DLC packs will be free with GWG, is there?

I'll probably get my moneys worth regardless. I'm already going back and trying to do the secondary objectives that I missed. I want those achievements.

There's already one DLC for Peggle 2 for $2 and another one coming out really soon since it's achievements were recently added. Looks like PopCap will be riding the cheap DLC train with Masters.

I ended up passing on the DR3 season pass but was still kind of debating on it tonight. Guess that decision was made for me. I just couldn't pull the trigger even at $20 with all the lackluster reviews. I'm hoping for it to go 50% off eventually. The new DLC looks sweet though so I may just bite on that.
