  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

I really enjoyed Downpour. However it is worth noting that I didn't like any of the other Silent Hill games and I used a guide for 99% of the game (I never used a guide for the older ones or completed them). I remember one part that was actually scary, even though I knew what was going to happen ahead of time. That was a side quest though.

Think I might finish Guacamelee this weekend (all achievements). Little over 10 hours played and I'm 84% finished with getting everything, then a play through on Hard that will probably be really easy. Easily my favorite GWG so far.
 
Ok the lack of sales is motivating me to finish Deadlight from gwg and I Am Alive which is on sale now and I purchased from a previous deal.

I finished and completed this game in a weekend. It was a fun little distraction, but easily deleted from the hard drive after done. There is NO reason to keep playing.

 
Disappointed that we didn't get any July 4th specials. Was really hoping to put that $5 Gamestop credit to good use...

Why it's not a bad idea.  If MS is giving away 1 mil currency they can take some of it back by giving us huge sale with tons of games.  I'd appreciate that very much  :whistle2:

Wouldn't be the best decision business wise of course.

With that said, still hoping for a AC or South Park sale. Witcher 2 as well.

 
Damn Costa Rica and Netherlands shootout kept me on the edge of the seat.  1/2 Finals have the strongest teams playing now.  I'm pumped.

I bought Viking. Its...OK. At best.

Honestly the only reason I bought it, is because I wanted to even out my gamerscore. It was always ending in a 4 or 9 and Viking had weird numbered achievements.

So if you're weird like me and you like seeing 0's and 5's...I'd say buy that?

Or...wait until Monday night...better option.
 
Since there are no good sales I decided to finally play Halo SA. When I try to load it all I get us a black screen. Ha anybody else ran into this?
 
I finished up Bioshock: Infinite this weekend. I wish I had bought some of the DLC now when it was on sale. I'd like to play through it. I forgot how great the visuals and story is in those games.

Started AC IV: Black Flag tonight. Other than the stupid Animus stuff, I love the game. Why don't they just knock that shit out of it entirely? Why do I want to walk around a fucking office? I do that shit all week. I want to blow up ships and fuck hookers. I only get to do that occasionally in real life...

The 360 version didn't let me dally with the hookers.... is that a next gen feature?

BioShock was incredible! Loved it.

As for ACIV. Have you played the other games in the series? I personally liked the Abstergo levels. Brought a little bit of insight into what we can expect moving forward, now that Desmond is dead.

Theory. I believe you're playing as a woman in ACIV. I don't know who, but...yeah. Signs point that way.
 
Yeah I thought these were by far the best "real world" levels of the series. Of course they still come right at a climax of the pirate action when you're really wanting to just continue on.
 
Whoa! Some spoilers there for AC. I mean it wasn't at the top of my backlog list but still usually trust CAG to be sensitive about that as any gaming forum is.

You didn't miss much when you missed the sale. It's cheaper to buy the season pass at full price than if you bought the first two DLCs on sale, then the third DLC at it's full price (it hasn't been on sale yet).

 
Bioshock is one of the few series I didn't play last gen.  Nothing really wowed me into the series.

 
I tried Bioshock, hated it. Tried Bioshock 2, also hated it. Not getting burned again by trying Infinite.

Tried AC, hated it. Tried AC2, hated it. Have never been tempted to try any other iteration of the series.

 
So I'm still playing Halo: Combat Evolved and it's still kind of boring. I wish you can adjust the volume on the dialogue because it's hard to hear at times over the music; maybe then I'll like the story. A map would also be nice since there are many times where I get lost.

This was all until "The Flood" showed up. NOW this game is pretty good and actually fun. It feels like I'm playing Timesplitters now; these levels are a lot more fun than "The Covenant" levels. It's a shame it took this long to get there. I hope the other Halo games ignore the Covenant or at least make their levels more fun.

Play AC4. I hated every other AC game except that one.

 
Does anyone know how to download a Rock Band Song that has been removed? I downloaded Promised Land before it was removed from the market place, but for some reason it is not on my hard drive. How can I re-download it? Since it's not a game I cannot do it the usual way through the console.

I used to be able to do it easily from the website. Since they overhauled it though it's been useless.

Edit/: Never mind. Figured out how to do it from the console.

That's interesting, as most online comments indicate that people tend to not enjoy the Flood sections. If it matters, the Flood do appear in Halo 2 and 3, but not 4, Reach or ODST.

Are you playing the Anniversary Edition of Halo? The audio was redone for it, so it should sound much better. Noting that, I did notice a few parts where I couldn't exactly hear the dialog as well as I had wished, but I was able to understand the story enough without it, so you should be okay if you pay attention to the rest of the game.

A little overreacting for a person that's never played a game in the series eh? Maybe you should go play a few games, get to three, stop playing and then come back and complain about me spoiling that one fact in the series.

I am glad it was AC and not something else but still. Thanks though.

I remember when I thought the Desmond sections were cool and looked forward to them. Only played up to 2 so don't know if they made it more of a gimmick.
 
If anyone bought Max Payne 3 a few weeks back when it was on sale, a word to the wise. There is about 6GB of downloads you have to get in order to finish the solo campaign. For some reason, it doesn't download with the game and you have to get the files from the ingame store.

That is interesting since most of those levels have you using the same type of weapon (machine gun) and beating the same enemies over and over. With the Flood, they give you a new weapon (Shotgun), enemies that actually do different things (the Bazooka guys are a pain in the ass), and even a new vehicle (the plane). Even the levels are different and provide more of a challenge; I especially liked the level where you follow that Spark robot and hold off enemies to unlock doors.

I'm playing the original Xbox version which really looks and sounds great. I can't imagine how much better it could look as I think it holds up very well as is. The story isn't hooking me though the twist with the Flood was interesting. I'd probably have more fun if that and the weapon system was improved.

Yep just found this out last night when trying to load CH6. Meaning I'll have to unhook my 360 and bring back over to my friend's house just to finish the game.
