  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

It's not so much the traditional "open world" it's more small open levels with objectives. Personally, I enjoyed it for many of the same reasons I love the BioShock titles, and that's about the highest praise I can give a game. Also - the DLC (The Knife & Brigmore) are some of the most quality buys I've ever played in my years gaming. Absolutely some of the most impressive work in every aspect of gameplay, storytelling, and re-playability.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I've heard great things about it and have had it on my wish list. Guess I wasn't sure about the "open world" aspects. Don't get me wrong I don't just like linear games either but so many open world games become repetitive after a while (honestly Watchdogs disappointed me the most out of the group above and Saints Row 3 actually suprised me with how much of a blast it was).

Anyway, sounds more like a Hitman type of situation where you can plan how you want to tackle there missions. The atmosphere, storytelling and powers sound great.

What the hell, I may find it passing a few other games on my backlog.

I'm glad to hear about this. I took a shot in the dark at getting this game because it finally hit a price point I was comfortable with. Had to get Trials, Portal 2, and Fallout: NV. I've been playing catch up on my GoD over the last few months, and this sale is perfect for that.

I havent had the disc in the console in forever that I cant even remember where I am in the game, I just know I p.o.'d that the season pass is still $30 when the game retails around the $9 area lol

 
AC3 is pretty weak overall, but the Desmond parts are probably the best modern day sequences in the entire series and the ship sections are really strong. I didn't regret playing it, but it's one of the weakest entries.

Gears of War 3 - One of our (me and my wife) favorite couch co op games

Lara Croft Guardian of Light - Recommended

Portal 2 - Highly Recommended, play the single player campaign first though. Me and my wife were pretty proud we never used any hints or guide through the entire co op section, you two should take on same challenge!

TNMT Shadows - There is couch co op, but I hear it is not well implemented, and it's a bad game. I got it anyways because I buy anything that has couch co op.

Fable 3 also has couch co op but we have the physical copy in our co op backlog now, right after we finish Tales of Vesperia, so don't know if the couch co op is good or not.

Spartan Assault does not have local coop, which is a huge disappointment.

Definitely Gears of War 3. Lots of modes to do together or even together with others online.

Where's the love for Serious Sam? You can play Serious Same Double D XXL in cough coop. It's a side scrolling shooter unlike the other 3 Serious Sam games which are first person shooters.

However, you could play Serious Sam 1-3 as a couple if you have two Xboxes. For some reason, they do online coop only. You can't go wrong with "blow shit up" games.

I enjoyed the bit I played on my Surface, and I've played the first 3 acts on Xbone and that port is well done, so the 360 version should be fine.

 
I've only played one Halo game (2) and got SA for free for the One. SA was a lot of fun. I loved it. The co-op missions were a blast too. It plays a lot like Total Carnage/Smash TV so that was right up my alley.
 
OK. After watching the Witcher 2 trailer, I bought the game. Hope it's not an epic fail. I know..the reviews are mostly good... Now I just got to finish Max Payne 3.

The reviews are very good and so is the game on PC and couldn't see it being much different (other than graphics) on 360.

 
I know I'm shooting for the stars, but I want to see a sale on SNK fighters (Garou: MotW, Neo Geo Battle Colliseum, KOF 2002, etc).

It is hit or miss. Hopefully it will be a hit for you. It was a miss for me.

Did Mr. N say he was posting deals tonight or do we have to scour through Xbox.com searches?

I thought it was a great game. It took me a little while to get the hang of it though. Its very...involved, but fun and worth your spacebucks.

I believe he said check back daily, but I'm not sure if he meant that he would be posting the sales at the time they go on sale or the morning of the sale day.

Combat was very difficult at first. I was pretty skeptical until I got deeper in the game. I ended up loving the game and TW3 is my most anticipated game of 2015.

Thanks. I'm hoping its a hit for me. Between that and scoring Remember Me for $5.98 @ Target, I have an eclectic array of games in the backlog.

Edit...I feel I need to push up the nerd glasses after that sentence.

Is anyone having issues purchasing on the marketplace for some games? I know on the support site it says that the marketplace is experiencing problems but it was fine for me up until I tried to purchase a game.

I went to purchase Fallout New Vegas and it didn't go through so I tried to test with another game and ended up buying Portal 2 lol.

Since I didn't buy Fallout, any thoughts on it? Should I buy New Vegas or 3?

Both! Stop doing everything else and play BOTH of them! Play 3 first though. So good. Much fun.

Looks like it will definitely be available tomorrow morning. They've shifted it from the unofficial and somewhat-nebulous "upcoming games" section of xbox.com to the new releases section.

The only question now is what price. I say $15. $10 would be fantastic.

Was just playing Fallout 3 on my brother's PC with latest graphics card OMG what a difference in the graphics and performance, it's an eye opener no wonder PC community is making fun of console ppl. Anyways it still looks good on my Xbox. Game is awesome if you like fps adventure with elements of RPG. If you have played borderlands, Fallout has the similar concept: main story line + side missions, getting to know strangers and helping them out, developing your character, looting, and bunch of other exploration.
