  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Did I say they cared about me? I don't believe I did anywhere in my sentiment. They do listen now, because they have to. They ate humble pie just like Sony did.

I forget that some people still hate Microsoft for ever and ever and Sony is the bestest ever because ps4. I haven't turned mine on since wolfenstein.

But I wasn't trying to start anything, I forget how sensitive people are on here sometimes.

At least you guys didn't jump on me like the time the one dude went straight ballistic because I said I was renting South Park instead of buying it day 1 with Dark Souls and Titanfall the next week. That was so full of wat. I don't think anyone knew what set the guy off, but he proceeded to tell me how he was older than me and everything else. It was hilarious. He's still around, I've thought about saying something again to him to see if he gets set off. Someone asked what his deal was in the thread an hour later and he went crazy on them too lol.

Honestly, it doesn't matter, at least for NG2 and maybe even Skate 2. Why? Because there hasn't been a game in their respective genre that dethrones those 2 games since their original releases. Bayonetta came close to taking the crown, but not quite. So even though 6 years has past since NG2's 2008 release, we've been playing crappier games in this genre since then.

 
Unless I am blind, Street Fighter X Tekken is on sale for $9.99. I remember reading about it in the thread, but I didn't notice it in the OP! Just didn't want anyone to miss it since its on sale.

Probably true.

Unless, while going for all the achievements, you forgot to get one of the weapons and have to replay the game only to realize that you got the weapon you missed last time, but managed to miss another weapon. I had to repeat that cycle about three times before I managed to get all the weapons in one playthrough.

Got to play as the other classes and really enjoyed playing through multiple times.

It's on the dashboard, ppl see it on their xbox. Not a big loss or anything, and we're not rushing to blame Bloomy for it like ^elbow twitch^ folks over at PSN thread take it out on FriskyT.

BGnasty you're right. There are easily missable achievements/trophies. I have about half on ps3.

Thanks, OP updated. Odd XBLDB never picked up on it, and I missed it when cross checking the found drops vs. Major Nelson's list. Maybe all the costume DLCs cause problems for XBLDB, similar to the music games.

That was my weapon of choice anyway. I am not saying the game is difficult. I am saying it's not an easy completion because of it's length, not because it's challenging. It will take forever for someone to get the 1000 GS.

I regretting not playing it on hard the first time through. Also, I should've gone with a magic user instead of an assassin. There is an achievement for getting so many kills using spells and I had a problem racking up enough numbers with my character.

Also, for those picking it up. I don't know if this still works, but if you play the Mass Effect 3 demo before you start your KoA game you'll get a nice set of starter equipment to get you going.

I think if nothing strikes my fancy before Monday I'm going to buy Fallout 3. I've played it and New Vegaa for over 100 hours each but I love them so much and want one to play around with.

Crap, I just realized the ultimate game sale was a daily thing. At least I only missed out on one game I would have bought, Dragon Age II.

 
I know it's been mentioned, but my brother-in-law just sent me a message saying he received a free code for Season 2 Episode 1 of The Walking Dead.  He was asking me if I thought it was legitimate, as he doesn't follow sites like these (I explained to him it's fine to redeem).  He's a 10 year member of Live, but has a gamerscore under 10,000 points, rarely plays much any more, and has never played any of the Walking Dead titles.

While I'm aware that these codes are clearly random, just pointing out that they're still being sent out to people.

The Strider reboot isn't all that great. I played it on the PC when it came out few months ago and found it to be way too repetitive. I now have it on the PS4 too free via PS+ but not playing it. The only Strider I remember was that 8meg cartridge on the Genesis and it was an awesome game. This new one is nothing like it. This one is more of an adventure game than a pure action one like on the Genesis.

Bayonetta is great though. Still the best Platinum Game released thus far, until Bayonetta 2 that is. ;) If they put it on sale like Ninja Gaiden 2, then you should definitely buy it.

Bayonetta is good, but I personally like Metal Gear Rising better.

Glad to read Xbox One games can finally start getting trials.
 
I don't know if it's bugging anyone else who purchased Fight Night Champion, but there is absolutely NO WAY to unlock Young George Foreman, unless you pre-ordered the game over 3 years ago.

I enjoyed Bayonetta a hair more than Rising because I felt it was a bit tighter in gameplay. Either way, both are quality titles from Platinum.

I might be wrong, but I think in the past MS used the last day of daily deals to repost some of the previous sales of the past week. I'd say there is a chance you might see DA:2 for $5 again on Monday.

 
I wonder if they'll just make the Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1 free like they did with the first Season XBLA game? They HAD the first episode of the Walking Dead Season 2 on sale once for $.99

I know Strider reboot isn't a very amazing game, and it has it's flaws, but I think it's decent enough for my liking though. But I know Bayonetta is a very good game, which I hope it will be $5!

there isn't a game on that psn sale that I wouldn't buy for a buck if I owned a ps3. there is something in me that can't resist temptation on any game under a dollar, thus why I own freefall racers.

I Only bought two games and majority I don't own. I'm slowly turning into a RAG Realistic Ass Gamer.

Other than VF2 most have been free for PS+. It's not that they aren't worth it because they are, I just know I'm not gonna play Dino Crisis, Syphon Filter, etc. considering I bought ps1 games on a whim and never play them.
