This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Also, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Training Lair is coming to the 360 tomorrow. Kinect game which is modeled after the Bayhem film coming out next month. It's a FREE game which comes with Pizza Hutt stuff everywhere which is prolly why it's free. I'll check it out to get as many achievements as possible & the wife and I will see if it's any fun at all. Expectations are extremely low though.

It's free? That's cool, my kids will probably get a kick out of it and hopefully it's an easy completion.

This is a fucking thing now??? Sweet Jesus...

I'm surprised at all the love for Splatterhouse here. I Thought the game was SUPER mediocre (and the critics seem to agree with me too). The platforming was godawful in no thanks to the sluggish jumping and shit camera and the combat was frustrating due to whenever enemies are recovering they're invincible and can get several cheap shots on you. I Beat it and I also remember that by the third act of the game they didn't know what to do with story.

This is true. The Candy Crush/The Voice/Dance Central peeps will like it. Meanwhile, I'll continue to play Rock Band and work on my backlog of hundreds+ games.
I Don't care for either of those two things, but I love Dance Central. Only driving reason for me to get an X1.

Dance Central? System seller?

Never thought I would see the day.
Harmonix is one of the only company I have total faith in plus they get DLC right. Who else let's you transfer DLC from previous games to their newest iteration on consoles? Especially from previous to next gen consoles. Plus they make fun games.

You guys and your love for these dancing games. I don't get it, makes me feel like I need to try them one day.
It's one of the few games that actually makes you use your full body and it actually works. How often can you say that about motion control games?!

Grabbed Splatterhouse and didn't get any of the others since I couldn't find a complete copy of the rest. So used the other coupon on a complete Blue Dragon for $4.50. I'm happy with those.

I'm ready to get my one night stand on later. You guys have fun on date night.

So what's the verdict between Dance Central and Just Dance?  Seen an Xbone copy of JD2014 for like $18 locally that's oddly tempting or should I just wait for the Xbone Dance Central?.

Dance Central utilizes full body more effectively and more encourages practice to nail it (some of the moves on harder difficulties are...kinda ridiculous), but it's super rewarding once you nail it. Just Dance I want to say encourages more of a pick up and play approach. Like it's a nice distraction, but lacks the depth and it's mostly upper body based.

You guys...I play alot of Dance Central. My calves are terrifyingly muscular now.

Might be too quick for another 2k sale with BioShock wrapping up tonight, but I'm going to guess Borderlands 2 for the coming week, or at least soon.  Mainly because I've been playing it with a friend, and he's enjoying it enough that he bought the pass last week.  I still needed the Gunzerker action skill achievement from the base game, which without XP boosting requires playing about 2/3 of the story, so it was a good enough reason to knock that out.  Also recently completed the Torgue DLC.  The sweet dulcet tones of Mr. Torgue providing a running commentary would be a great addition for any game.  [customspoiler=Spoiler]BLOWJOBS![/customspoiler]

He also bought the BioShock Infinite pass.  With the BI DLC on sale twice now without the pass, I'm considering just biting the bullet as well.  Want to give the DLC a go and see if they clear up one of the issues I had with the main game's ending.

Never been one for dancing games, singing games are where it's at. I lament the death of Lips all the time; we still play SingStar but I never liked it as much as Lips or Rock Band and even SS feels like it's barely on life support in terms of DLC support. I'd buy an Xbone for a new Lips title. And I'd kill for some Lorde in it.

I bought a Lips game used the other day at gamestop since it was only a few $$$ and I can't believe how much that game is crippled. You need a specific Lips mic in order to play?! My Rock Band mic wouldn't even work :-({|=

This is what your calves look like after one week of Minecraft

Disney Sing It FTW. I think I might pull out Disney Sing It High School Musical 3 and Karaoke Revolution :American Idol Encore 2 out of the backlog.

I know this is a crappy comparison, but think of them like Simpsons arcade and X-Men arcade. Or CoD to Battlefield. Both are fun games, just people will prefer one over the other.

I say wait for Dance Central in September. Dance Central tracks seem to go on sale more often then JD tracks and like Bardockkun said, DC is more full body based and to me, makes it more fun and rewarding. Again, Dance Central and Kinect are perfect for each other

They're wireless mics though!

I think I looked up those games and IIRC it didn't have any songs from Disney animated movies, just the live action Disney Channel stuff. A singing game with songs from like The Little Mermaid and The Lion King would be fucking amazing.

Also I feel like Karaoke Revolution sucks compared to the other singing game options. I did thousand it on 360 though.

On to something that i actually might spend xbox credit on. Does anyone know if there will be a season pass for Dark Souls 2 on 360 ? Or we just get each chapter separately ?

What is left that I haven't bought yet, on sale or otherwise?  Half Minute Hero, SVC Toe Jam and Earl, Exit, Galaga Legions (DX was on sale but not the standard version), How to Survive, Maraton Durandal, Marlow Briggs, Pinball FX stuff I couldn't spare last time, Qix ++, Scourge Outbreak, Strider, Wik and the Whatever.

I bought Blood of the Werewolf which seems to be 6.99 standard, kinda strange price wise but played it some and didn't feel like it was reduced content to justify a lower price.

Also just started Giana Sisters from the sale awhile back and it is a solid platformer with a great soundtrack, also the true achievement score is insane, not really interested in achievements anymore but might have to complete it just because so few have and if you are really good at platformers it seems doable so far.

And I know it's a dirty thing to say here but sometimes it feels incredible paying full price for a game you really want, like I actually play the game and stuff instead of just watching it fly by as I flip past all my new arcade games to play Pac-Man, even though 10 plus years on this site have taught me the opposite.

On to something that i actually might spend xbox credit on. Does anyone know if there will be a season pass for Dark Souls 2 on 360 ? Or we just get each chapter separately ?
I'm gonna assume the season pass will go up on consoles tomorrow as steam users can already purchase it. Apparently it's $25 for the pass or $10 for each dlc separately.

I read it and i thought the same, however since it is a Season Pass and Steam has it already i'm kind of worried about spending those extra $5.

Aside from "Happy", I don't recognize any of those songs. Harmonix doesn't make crap so easy purchase for me.

Has Dance Central DLC ever gone on sale?    I wouldn't mind a general DLC sale for this week.

I'm going to guess Halo/Bungie sale to celebrate the Destiny beta being out on Xbox systems this week. Guess we'll see shortly...

I would love to see Asura Wrath on sale

Bayonetta would be awesome for 5 bucks

even though right off the top of my head i dont even remember seeing these games on demand though

Im dying for a Toy Story 3 Sale though been wanting that game for a long time
