  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

I liked Asura's Wrath but I don't think it's worth $9.99 especially considering you have to buy DLC to get the true ending.

Combat is meh. Story is ok. Memory remixes are great and could've been their own game, but there are not many of them. Overall a really underrated game with barely any advertising, if any. $10 is a good price.
 
I kinda feel like some of the kinks for this sale aren't worked out yet. DMV collection and Orc are both expired already. I hope sf x t goes on sale. Darks talkers is definitely a buy for me right now
 
I'm going to try resident evil demos, I have REmake, RE0 and RE4 on Wii but I hate the controls there. I need a Pro Controller for that :/

PS2/PC port with better textures and a different control scheme.

Bought it last time the Marketplace had it on sale and now own it on four different platforms (GC, PS2, PC, 360).

I have a strong feeling Capcom will release the ultimate hd PC version on PS4/One in the future and I will end up buying it again.

Didn't realize Asura's Wrath was $10 at sale price. I'd definitely wait for it to go lower since DLC is not included.

I don't see a post from Major Nelson on all the deals yet and noticed two other deals from Xbldb.com:

- Super Street FIghter II Turbo HD Remix is $5.09.   Is there any point in getting it since we had a free Street Fighter game through Games   With Gold already?

- Dust Force is $4.99.  Never heard of this game before.  Is this worth picking up?

I have Resident Evil on PS3 and enjoy them all. For some reason I can't get the determination to finish Code Veronica so everything since RE4 has been in my backlog. Trials for RE 4-6 were fun though.

The Devil May Cry series just doesn't work for me. Looks great but I'm not a fan of the controls (ie the power rankings) and the enemies that respawn every time you re-enter a room. I believe the remake improved on keeping that to a minimum so if you liked the previous games, you'll have no problem enjoying this one.

Mega Man and Final Fight still look good after all of these years.  Remember that Final Fight only works when you're connected to the internet.  For this reason, I own it on Xbox and PS3.

Terraria I couldn't get into at all. Seems like the type of game that is more fun to watch someone else play. Same feelings apply to Minecraft.

 
If anyone has a little time and interest, can anyone sell of me on ANY Resident Evil? I never played any of them, not even shortly. I know it got more and more into action which I wouldn't necessarily mind, though RE5 looks boring to me, but what about the older ones and remakes? Do they hold up well as far as gameplay goes for a newcomer? Are they hard? Thanks in advance. I'd buy RE4 for that price but it may or may not be something I enjoy.

 
So far picked up SxT 12 char dlc, Darkstalkers, DMC HD Collection, and Case West. Hope there's more games that are dscounted. Wouln't mind Marvel Origins to be cheap also but it doesn't look like it will happen.

Well if you want Street Fighter 2 than yes, if not than no. Not sure what else to say about it really.

Dustforce is good. It's a sweeping platformer.

I'd buy RE4. It was one of the best gaming experiences i've ever had. By chance i played it in my ps2 while i was staying in your country for work. I remember waking up with my headphones on after a night playing and hearing the relaxing music of the typewriter room. Good times. RE4 introduced the control scheme RE games have today but it didnt sacrified the original spirit in favour of mindless action. And the game is great, story wise and angst factor. You have to spend wisely your few resources, ammo and explore a lot in a constant state of alert. It can be hard but it's a safe bet for a newcomer. I can't speak of the 360 version cos (until now) I don't have it but read good reviews.

Thanks for the input. I'll probably spend a couple days pondering it, having to buy non-gaming stuff as well these days. From some gameplay vids and your explanation, it indeed looks sufficiently modern, not clunky like many games from those times. RE4 seems the most interesting to me and X360 version got some praise as well. Sort of tempted by RE6 too (not that it's on sale right now) - I know a lot of fans hated it but I'm no fan and to be fair it looks genuinely fun, it doesn't bother me if it's not a real RE since I never played one. 6 Euros and something is definitely a price where I won't feel too guilty even if I don't like it much.

I grabbed it. Never played, but have been looking for a cool side scrolling beat-em-up and this seems to fit the bill. For 66% off it was kind of a no brainer. Next time my friend comes over, I think I know what we'll be playing.

Some comments...
FF dbl impact does Not require online to play...it is just more fun with coop
Asura has a demo but i am glad everyone was so positive about it last time it was on sale as i might have been talked out of it and missed a fun experience.
Darkstalkers on sale makes me interested.
Chronicles d&d is fun with co op but i could never find a match online. Sale should change that.

Are you absolutely sure? This was an issue back when Playstation was hacked a few years ago.

The button prompts in the boss battles for Asura's Wrath work better than the rest of the gameplay IMO. Many times I just hit "X" or "A" randomly with the occasional thumb stick moved outward. With boss battles, it corresponds to Asura's movements making for a better gaming experience. The demo shows what I mean.

Cool. By then, i might have dug enough through my backlog to start playing that and these RE games i just bought. Who am i kidding, i will still be playing Dark Souls 2 and World of Tanks while drowning on my backlog.

 
Is there a complete pack I can buy for DOA5 that gives me everything (characters & costumes)? I just have vanilla DOA5.

I can't keep track of all this sh_t.

I was going to say something similar, but I'm trying to keep my shit analogies to a minimum. Dark Sector was actually a decent game.

I'll probably pick up Dustforce just for the soundtrack, I'm sure the gameplay is alright. Such sweet tunes!

I couldn't disagree more with everything you just said and I don't really understand what you're even talking about.

Sacrificing the original spirit in favor of mindless action is exactly what it did, and RE4 is ultimately the reason why the series is in the state it's currently in. Story wise, the game is just awful and absolutely ridiculous. Not only is it by far the worst story in the entire series on its own, but it also has nothing to do with any of the other games.

And you absolutely do not have "few resources" that you need to "spend wisely." That couldn't possibly be further from the truth. You simply go through each area, kill every enemy, and pick up what they drop. By doing this, you end up with more ammo than you began with. It's not long before you have more items than you're able to carry, even with the largest attache case. Also, there is next to no exploration and the game is about as close as you can get to being completely linear.
