  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Titanfall finally showed up for $25 for me. Best Buy trade in is $24, it's a good chance to go digital if you want to. 

 
I found one reason I finally dislike Sony (and mostly their fanboys): They are announcing a TON of new games that will only be available digitally. Remember when Xbox did it at launch and how everyone hated it and forced us all to keep Gamestop in business? Sony does it = genius love. Xbox does it = Fail end of world :(

Had this same exact problem, had tons of account credit to use but couldn't cause it has to be used through the Xbox. Since this piece of shit of a console was out of action due to another rrod i tried to see if i can buy off the webstore and found out i cant. Love the hilarious response i got from MS tech support on why in 2014 their webstore is fucking atrocious, so now i missed out because Ms is behind the times. Basically just said you can always download your profile on another xbox and buy the games that way!!1 like i just have 360s all over the house. Not to mention this moronic response about how they cant have the webstore accept account currency cause they need to get each publishers permission or some stupid ass shit like that.

I, uhh, what? Announcing a bunch of indie games isn't remotely similar to what MS proposed when they revealed the Xbone.

Thank you - that should have read "1 million" quickly. I didn't know the total number of sales so far. It's all relative. Some 'AAA' titles would be thrilled with 6.5 million in sales.

There's a big difference though. Sony's announced games are indie/arcadey type games (~ XBLA titles) so digital only isn't a big deal. MS wanted AAA retail titles to go all digital. F that. Can you imagine wasting $40-60 on a game like Wolfenstein (which I completed in ~4 days, including hardest difficulty and all achievements) and not being able to trade it in for some of your money back? No way I'm supporting that. Drop your digital prices to $20 then we'll talk.

There was definitely some positives and negatives to what they originally planned for the system. I think that E3 2013 hindered the sales alone.

If you ask me, it will be implemented at some point in gaming.

Great deal on TItanfall. All considering since the game is online only an actual hardcopy is worth ditching to go digital. Gamestop TIV is only $16, so if It's $24 at Best Buy I'm tempted to upgrade.

I completely agree, but it has to be a gradual transition. They announced it too suddenly, without strong support beforehand. That's why they failed. There's a reason politicians test the waters first before announcing their candidacy for president.

Damn, that thing looks SO sweet. I've got the stock one and the Titanfall one right now. I'm like the other dude, debating wanting a Halo one later, and now I'm just thinking about collecting them all this generation and trying to get the white one standalone as well.

The real sadness is that I want whatever skinned Halo One they release next year. I'm going to have to trade my Bone towards it, I'll bet. Here's hoping for a Fall 2015 Best Buy trade-in deal.

Once again the CoD console looks pretty f'n sweet but to tell you the truth I'm fine with a black console that came with Titanfall & Forza Motorsport 5 (won that one). I might snag that controller though, def more appealing than Titanfall's.

Glad to see all the KI season 2 rumors coming true. Although I'd prefer KI 1 and 2 to be bundled separately for $15 or $20. I'll definitely be buy the $20 version for all the season 2 characters. I really want to try KI2, but not for $20 extra. It was broke at galloping ghost last week :(
 
Is there anything on sale this week?   I really don't want to scour a bunch of posts that really belong in the 'non-deal' console threads.

Not sure I follow you. You DO have options. KIs1 for $20 or $40 and/or KIs2 for $20 or $40.

I bought KIs1 Ultra Edition and didn't regret it at all. Not sure on Season 2, though. So much good stuff this fall, I have to conserve my funds as much as possible.

Also, the Season 1 soundtrack is going to be released on 9/23! I've been looking forward to this for a long time. :whistle2:

Yeah, because b&m stores don't have the power to dictate prices too?

Remember the TR Definitive Edition sale on X1? The sale price was "corrected" to match physical retail after b&m stores found out the digital copy was being priced lower than their retail.

Same as season 1. I'd prefer to get KI 1 and 2 together though. $40 is a lot for 2 old games. I don't care for the accessories.
 
You make a good point, that's why I'm hesitant on the Ultra edition.  I didn't play KI Classic at all and the accessories really are just fluff.  It's the early access that is the most appealing part of Season 2 (and was in season 1).  Not sure it's worth $20, tho. 

And, only two new fighters at launch blows.  Sure a new fighter every month is great, but only 2 at launch?  I'm trying to not complain, but this is clearly a different approach and they are taking the season concept to another level.

Sorry I haven't updated the OP yet.  I got caught in a round of layoffs at work today, and have been dealing with fallout from that (have checked in on the thread a few times to get my mind off it).  Hope to have it updated tonight.

Maybe I'll have some time to work on the backlog now.

Soooo, any love for Space Invaders Infinity Gene around here? I watched a youtube video and the game is weird as hell. As much as I like shoot'em ups, I'm not sure I would like that game.

I gotta say this... Now that I have an iPhone navigating CAG is so much easier. For some reason the only thread button that worked was the FIRST button. I had to manually enter the page number just to continue reading everything I missed.

I still can't follow this thread anymore for some reason. That stopped like on page 500ish I think. Oh well. Hopefully we will get a new one soon. *hinthintnugdenudgewinkwink* say no more 😃

They lost someone valuable and I doubt it will take you very long to find a new place of employment that will value you as you should be valued. I used the word value a lot in that last sentence, my bad. Seriously though, thoughts with you.

 
So anyone here play Titanfall on the 360? I am trying to play it but it just won't connect to the servers.  Getting really close to trading it without playing since I got it cheap at Kmart.

 
Golf Club is out next week on X1 and PC and then PS4 later this month. Costs $35 and x1 version runs at 720p 30-45 fps

Suddenly, I have an XBoner. I was worried that they were going for $40-50 with it on the One because they refused to announce the price, but I'm admittedly disappointed that they only got it to 30 FPS and 720p, given when that game actually is.

I can't help but feel like with the allegedly-robust physics in the game, working closely with Microsoft for this release could have gotten computations onto their servers, like Crackdown will be doing (and others have).

I tried the demo today and didn't really like it. If it were ever to drop to a dollar I'd pick it up but def not $5. It just feels clunky and isn't very fun in my opinion.
 
Titanfall XB1 @ $25 is tempting me. I haven't played it, and usually prefer single player experiences, but I have a decent amount of Xbox currency, so I might pick it up.

you should do it. its got enough of a new element that it feels pretty fresh and awesome. i had no friends that played but still had fun. Unlike nearly every other shooter that i play online, i felt like i could always hold my own in this game. i guess the playing field feels more level than COD where the second you see someone they just shot you :(

Titanfall has been my multiplayer addiction since it released. I categorically disagree with people who say it gets old fast. You constantly feel like a BAMF.

It's the game thatll get you out of that "me vs the computer forever" mentality. That's what it did for me anyway. Now I love MP games and can't get enough of them.
