Thoughts on Stacking and Costume Quest if I was only getting one?
Both are great. If I had to recommend one I would pick Costume Quest because it did not cause me motion sickness (read a few posts up). :puke:

Ps. Finally a legitimate reason to use that puke smiley. \\:D/

For anybody who might be on the fence about Apples to Apples, I bought it on a whim last night. Had no issues finding at least 4 people in a game, and had 5 or 6 (the max) often. I didn't play with the gold cards, but the 3 hours I did play, I had an absolute blast (and the randoms were pretty cool and most had mics which surprised me). Didn't expect to be playing it until 4 in the morning, but it's all good.

So, how does Stacking give you motion sickness, lol?
Honestly, joey I'm not sure how you keep up with most of this, buuuuut if you get the opportunity, March is almost over and, well, ahem.... :whistle2:#
Yes, there's quite a bit of old information in the 2nd post of the OP. Whenever you get the chance, you may want to update it.

I'd also make the arguement that, to make things easier on you, we don't need a list of coming soon XBLA titles in the OP. I know stuff like that can be really hard to keep track of, and since it's not related to the actual deals, I don't think it necessarily needs to be posted.

Just my 2 cents. Thanks for all your hard work.

Yeah, I've been neglecting that post. Mainly because the House Party gave me five weeks off on updating it.

EDIT:

Okay got some decent info in there now. If I missed anything let me know
Just the way game runs and when you move the camera. I played the trial and turn it off after 10th minute. :(

Again thanks to @ooga for the warning. Saving me 800pts.
When feeling motion but not seeing it (for example, in a ship with no windows), the inner ear transmits to the brain that it senses motion, but the eyes tell the brain that everything is still. As a result of the discordance, the brain will come to the conclusion that one of them is hallucinating and further conclude that the hallucination is due to poison ingestion. The brain responds by inducing vomiting, to clear the supposed toxin.

i learned something awesome today!

Yes, there is nothing that puking won't fix as far as your brain is concerned. :)

Played Rayman 3 HD trial - oh my God, the camera is so terrible and actually is deal breaker for me. It's a shame, because the game still looks really good. :(
I completed Costume Quest last night and I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to pick up Grubins on Ice and finish that tonight.
It's a shame there is no "Game+" option where you can use the dlc costumes in the main quest. Using the pirate or Yeti in the main levels would've been cool enough to get me to play the game again.

I didn't have any problems with the camera. It's a little bit slow, but that's it. But growing up with 3D platformers, I'm used to less than ideal cameras.

+1 I didnt have a problem with it either.
Why must they charge us for blatant advertising? Those games should be free.
Did you pay for the Battle: Los Angeles game?

CQ question- so i havent played it since i bought it a long time ago. when i boot up my save im at the last boss... is there no way to go and explore the rest of the game i didnt get to yet? is grubbins separate from the main story option?

I'm pretty sure, and Google seems to confirm, that you've already passed the point of no return and are screwed.

Also pretty sure Grubbins is seperate, and can just be booted up from the main menu. Sorry, it's been a long time since I played it.
I don't know why but the 400msp price makes me want it and also because it looks like LBP..
I want it too. But then again, I want pretty much every XBLA game.

This could get fairly expensive for me, depending on which Games on Demand are on sale next week. I'll buy RE4, RE CV, Crysis, and/or Beautiful Katamari if they are on sale.

I already bought the 4 Jack Packs, and am about to buy Grubbins on Ice and Hobo King DLC. Next week I'll definitely buy Joe Danger even though I was slightly disappointed in the trial, and Daytona, I've never played it before but it seems fun from the trial. I'll also probably get SEGA rally, but I'm not sure yet. And I'm still considering Kill Team; I almost bought it last week but ultimately decided against it.

Also, Ninja Gaiden II dlc is on sale for gold only, I didn't see it listed anywhere but it shows 560 points on xbox.com.

Same here, would buy both RE4 and Crysis at 1200 each (1000 would be better) I would possibly get RECV, but my memories of that game are remining me I didnt enjoy it so much

If those dont end up on sale, that will giveme a reason to buy Rayman 3. The demo was enjoyable, didnt mind the camera, and has plenty of gameplay for $10

EDIT: Well it looks like the lowest the games will go is 1120msp, but they never do that so they will probably be 1200

Isnt that the regular price for gaiden 2 dlc? Man the games that came out this week are getting pretty bad reviews, but thats a whole different disscusion. GOD sale will probably be mw 1 for 20, MW 2 for 35, and maybe gears 2 for 25.

Does anyone know if the Saints Row 2 servers are still online? I know the servers for the first game aren't and I'd hate to buy the content for SR2 only to discover it's mostly useless.

Use the robot costume to go back over the ramp. It takes you back to the area with the tombstones where you can visit previous areas.

Another reason building a backlog sucks...I mentioned this a few pages ago that even Single player DLC is starting to be unusable when servers get shut down. Was not the reason given that we need online passes so that used game buyers would be contributing to the cost of upkeep of the servers? We all know it is a cash grab but how can you justify shutting down a server you made people pay money to have access to?

Are you sure the servers are down? I just booted SR1 up and it put me into a lobby with three other players. I thought the servers that were getting shut down where only/primarily EA servers since MS maintains the servers for just about everything else.

Edit: Yep, they're still up. I just got jumped into a game and got shot all to hell. :p

Part of THQ's justification for online passes for the PS3 version of SR3 involved giving you a free digital copy of SR2. But otherwise, yes, you've got a point. Gaming companies are suppose to be smart enough not to tell the truth and we're suppose to be smart enough not to believe them.

Same thing happened to me last month. I wanted to play Grubbins so I booted the game up and found myself facing the last boss. I beat him again and was then able to move around the town. I raced around for a while before I figured out that I had to access Grubbins through the main menu.

I actually forgot about Rayman 3, I was planning on picking that up today, but now I might wait until I know how much I'll be spending next week.

On xbox.com it shows 800 ms points as regular price, and 560 as a "gold-exclusive" price

It's total BS that some single-player DLC for The Saboteur is going to be invalidated. Their "cost of servers" whining is bad enough, but how do you justify pulling the plug on something of this nature? I may finally be compelled to write and complain. And buy a copy of The Saboteur very, very soon...

Yes but it's been like that for years, it's not a new sale.

That's bizarre. I tried about two months ago with SR1 for the 360 (huge backlog of games here) and couldn't connect to any server. I then emailed THQ and asked, and two days later they replied that the servers for the game were no longer up.

I knew this day would come. Jack Packs for 50% off. Bought all of them.
I bought each Jack Pack on day one for voting-with-my-wallet reasons, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Lost Hobo King and Grubbins on Ice too, really. THQ has been doing DLC right in my opinion.

i hear ya. i'm not even 1/2 way through the disc episodes, which is why i was waiting.

It's a shame too, because it's the most hilarious and greatest implementation of Online Pass ever. It should be maintained till the end of time, lest we forget that EA once used digital boobs as an incentive to buy their game new.

I think this is supposed to be read with a hint of sarcasm and while I agree the Midnight Show is not the biggest lose I only worry about what my gaming DLC will be worth to me in 5 years. No Zaeed or Javik in Mass Effect even though I paid for those characters?

Anyway, I just played the Costume Quest DLC. I do like the premise of the game...it definitely has that Double Fine charm. My only concern is that I feel like the battle system is nothing more that a more complicated version of QTEs. Is this pretty much what I should expect the entire game?

I don't remember where I saw this but someone described CQ as "My First RPG" and it pretty much is.

I have a small group of friends that got WAY competitive over the game, so we've been through all of the content (both disc and DLC) for a while now.

But yeah, there are a LOT of questions in there. I can easily see it taking much longer to see it all in a group that's less, well, insane. :p

I think the final battle is the only one that required any "strategy" at all.

Ticks me off about them shutting off single player game servers. I quit buying EA games that include multiplayer unless they were gamefly purchases. In the past year the only new EA game I bought that was over 19.99 was Mass Effect 3. Guess I'll be careful about buying any new games from them along with capcom for their charging for DLC thats on the disc.

SR2 servers are still up I was just playing the game with a friend over the weekend.Just got done buying the DLC shortly before. :(

So still undecided on the bioshock 2 Rapture Metro Pack. Its the only dlc I don't have for it. So how many hours would it take to level 50? I've yet to even touch the multiplayer on it.

Just looked at new XBLA releases on xbox.com and I saw The Splatters. I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't pay a cent to get The Splatters. I don't know who made the game but I really hope the studio is named something like Montezuma's. That would be priceless.

The Saboteur is an EA game, not THQ.

Going to purchase the Space Marine DLC and all the Jack Packs.

Regarding the EA server shutdown... It makes no sense for single player content that's on the disc to no longer work. It's for reasons like those that I'm not crazy about digital downloads. It's like we never really "own" anything anymore, we're "leasing". What is going to happen when I want to fire up Mass Effect in a few years?
