Why the hell would they put ONE DLC on sale? Out of the thousands of things they could do, just one thing? Bullshit.
Microsoft has this promotion thing called Summer of Arcade.
They don't want to have a sale going on right now.
Next week is Deadlight and could turn out really good.

i get MS not NEEDING sales and WANTING to push people towards summer of arcade, but why shoot yourself in the foot by offering nothing good at all? with so much to choose, why wouldnt they pick a random assortment of crap just to rake in the few bucks from people that want it. i get why theyre not trying, but why are they trying to fail so hard?'

ninja game looks cool, but also like a ninja dlc pack for shank...

I hope so. Wish it was Metroidvania style game (similar to Shadow Complex) tho.

Summer of Arcade is just the release of a few XBLA games. It should have no bearing on whether or not they should feel compelled to have good sales. They should always be compelled to be competitive with their sales, like every other platform seems to be except XBL.

MS just needs to go to a developer once a week and ask how low they are willing to sell their game and have one game a week on games on demand for $5-$10.

I'd pick up quite a few games.

I would love for this to happen

What they should do is simply have one XBLA title, one retail game DLC, one indie game and one avatat on sale on DotW every fucking week. Their catalog is easily large enough to support this now. There are plenty of 2006-2008 titles that haven't been discounted in years (or ever) and plenty of obscure DLC for games (off the top of my head... Demons of the Badlands for RF:G).

That would be a sensible discount system that they could advertise as being another reason to be a Gold member. As it stands, Deal of the Weak actually makes me want to cancel, it's that annoying. ;)

yes, this! That would make sense and have been my complaint. The dlc selection is huge and how often they place the same arcade game on sale, so they could offer this to gold members.
However; I may buy this dlc since I just picked up underground from my backlog.

Demons of the Badlands is typical lousy Volition DLC. Don't bother unless you REALLY need an excuse to hit more stuff with a hammer.

Mark of the Ninja is made by the guys who did Shank 1 and 2 so it is practically an insta-buy for me by default.

I'm not suggesting people buy Demons of the Badlands. It was simply an older DLC I could remember that I don't think has ever been on sale. Apologies for any confusion.
Kinect Adventures is 70% off ($50 down to $15) :whistle2:\"
:lol::lol:. Wow!!! That's the funniest thing Ive read or heard all morning, perhaps even this week.
yeah and it aint gonna be free. 560 Spacebucks
Yes. $2 more than the entire game on Steam right now which includes Cold Stream and a lot more content. The system requirements are low. I understand all of the reasons people would rather have it on their 360, but this is a case where I think they should at least consider an upgrade instead.

Playing the PC version of L4D2 after probably spending 1000+ hours on 360 feels almost like a generation leap.

That framerate!

If you have a computer made in the last 5 years there's a good chance you can run it pretty well and it's only 5 bucks for the full game and all DLCs. You can still use your 360 pad if you hate keyboard + mouse. Definitely worth a try.

So anyone else want to play Skydrift with me? I want to get the "Addicted" achievement which means playing online at least one match a day for 7 consecutive days.

The game is actually pretty fun (and really easy on the eyes) and I liken it to Hydro Thunder in the sky with weapons.

Skydrift is pretty awesome, I had a blast playing it. I think it's worth 800msp, though 800 is really where it should have been priced to begin with (and is actually $10 on PSN, no idea why XBL didn't get the price drop).

I'm sorry I can't help ya though Furry, I have it on PSN.
That Deadlight game looks exactly like Shadow Complex, just in a different setting
I'll let you know, going to sit down with it once I start lunch.
For those that are interested here's my Wreckateer review

I think it's a great game that should not be overlooked because it's a Kinect game.
Nice review. I'm considering picking this up now. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun!

It can be had for around $6 on the trade thread, lots of copies floating around. Just FYI. I would buy it if I had a Kinect.

I can safety say it's not much at all like Shadow Complex, it plays more like the original Prince of Persia.

Thank you

I had a lot of fun with it, I plan on keeping it on my hard drive and going back to it here and there.

Ewwww!

Yeah i expected very little exploration compared to Shadow Complex, after heard it's cinematic-action platformer game. But i'm still interested to see how will turns out. Let us know how long is the game after you beat it. :)

Thanks for reminding me about the trading thread. I don't utilize that enough around here as a CAG. I got a copy for $6 paypal, hassle-free.

Also, thanks @Jaysonguy for a great review. It convinced me to pick it up when I really had no intentions to in the near future.

Thanks for the heads up.. but I may as well use up some of these bing points!

Thank you a bunch for this :)

Cut the quote down to only the stuff I lack, for my convenience. I had no idea I had the rest of that stuff...

Thank you

I really think anyone who gives it a shot will end up liking it. It started as the one summer game no one was looking for but I think it's going to surprise everyone.

I also got some of the dlc for Guitar hero WoR and such, except for GH3 since it can only be used on that game and don't have it anymore. They should just do more sales for gh dlc since they're not releasing anymore of it and the genre has died down a bit.

I'd definitely help you get that, but I don't have the game yet. Waiting for Bing points. :( I hope to have it in a couple days though, so if you still need it then I'd be glad to help you.
New dashboard beta signups are live.

thanks louie. It says congratualtions your in but then it says more status is active? I hope im in, since people that are beta testers get some pretty cool stuff.

Thanks, just finished the signup. Hope it doesnt start til after I get my new xbox (monday). Otherwise I'll be stuck testing it out on my old one.

Signed up as well & it seems I got in since it says I'm "active" and tells me the different stuff I can do at the moment, like signing onto the forums & such. This is gonna be my 3rd beta in a row (if memory serves me correctly, considering I was part of the beta for the current dash & the one before that). Hopefully "pins to customize your dashboard" means I can get rid of the Music & Video tabs or at least put those after Games & Marketplace.

Yeah I'd love to be able to customize the whole dash. My Windows Phone is super customizable and can pretty much anything pinned to the front screen, I can't believe they didn't do that with the current version of the dash. I'd take off/bury so much shit.
what have been the last rewards for being a member of the beta? I know halo reach was one.
That was for a beta about new secruity features they were putting on discs. I don't think dashboard betas have ever had rewards, but I may be mistaken.

You are mistaken. Avatar items have been given to previous beta testers. Not all betas have had rewards though.

I for some reason can't sign up...I fill out all the required info and when I hit submit it just reverts back to the beginning wanting me to refill everything out again. Anyone else having this problem?
