Next week's dotw. If it wasn't for the reoccuring every 3-5 months microsoft's publisher sale, then the next two weeks would suck ass. Now to play some demos and decide if i want to get the reach maps now or later on before halo 4 comes out. I know they will go on sale again before november.

Nothing exciting. Then again, I have pretty much everything I want that is XBLA so it's not surprising. I may as well grab the Magic and Trenched DLCs. Haven't played either game, but I have nothing better to spend my points on.

Agreed! Four games I will purchase. After recent news I need something to cheer me up.
 
Well, here's hoping that, among the slew of Microsoft Publisher titles, they'll decide to put Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station and Crimson Alliance on offer again before May 21st, since I missed them last time... and maybe the first Dishwasher too :)

Yeah. I might too. I've been keeping my eyes out for a deal on RE5 Gold for the 360, but $10 isn't a bad thing at all. Might just pull the trigger on that.
 
Nothing I want, but I think this is quite a good week overall. And next week is a bit of a repeat but still quality games for good prices.
 
Grabbed the Splinter Cell DLC thanx for the advise EastX ^^

Also planning on getting the trench erm Iron Brigade DLC and wait until the main game drops to 400 MSP

Will also get the Magic DLC (would be happy if they dropped the price for the earlier game too)
 
well magic 1 has been 400 many times. Hell be happy you didnt pay 1200 for it when it first came out. God i was such an idiot, but the amount of time i put into that game, makes it like 1200 was a steal. Magic 2012 is great and the dlc add on is def. worth it. Kinda wished they made those extra card decks dlc on sale too.

Thanks for this. Looks like a promotion to get people to buy recent titles, most of which I dont give two shits for, but I'll keep an eye on this for sure.

Apparently it's not great in solo, just like Iron Brigade in general, but Martian Bear is supposedly even worse. Achievements seem ok, 25 points for beating the boss, then 2 achievements for getting to certain waves on the Survival maps (which I would assume is very difficult single player, but don't know for sure.)

Still, I'm contemplating it. I mean, it's only $2.50.

Only time I played Iron Brigade online it took maybe 10 minutes to get some teammates, and the gameplay was pretty laggy. I wasn't impressed with the online.

The thing that stopped me from buying the Magic add-on is that there is a 2013 version coming out in the near future, for XBLA, PSN, and iPad. And if there was ever game made for the iPad, Magic would be it. Much rather play on there.
 
I guess I need to start paying attention to PlayXBLA again. They stopped doing contests on their twitter page a long time ago so I stopped following them since their tweets were otherwise useless junk that just clogged up my feed.

Finally Iron Brigade drops. Definitely scooping it up and the DLC. Was going to gripe about the deals this week just by looking at Major's site but then I went to Spylon's and saw the goodness. Might pick up Worms and Magic too.

Next week has nothing to look forward to since they are all repeats. Good games to repeat, but already own all but Might & Magic and it didn't drop to 400 so I'll probably pass again.

Oh gotcha. The dlc is worth the price of 400. I mean pick them up during a good xbox rewards month, cause i highly doubt the dlc will go on sale, but i could be wrong.
 
PlayXBLA gave away a TON of Minecraft codes (that's how I got mine). Challenges all week and on several of them, it seems like they gave them to everyone that bothered to put in effort. The Weekend Cheeve Challenges are getting harder and the problem is the codes are a real toss-up, so I wouldn't buy a game and spend a lot of time, hoping to win something you don't have. The bonus is that then there is a glut of those codes to buy for sale prices on the Marketplace thread. So you can still reap the benefits if need be.

That's lame. I'll look into it, I'm gonna check out the demo for the main game tonight. I'm not a huge Worms fan, so I will probably pass.
 
Eh, nothing interesting for the next two weeks. I hated the demo for Trials Evo on a fundamental level, so no to HD, Castle Crashers seems like it requires friends, I have BG&E on PS2, and everything else looks like the kind of stuff I'd never give a second glance to. Well, at least VF5 is around the corner.
 
Good thing I ordered that points card from Target.com last night.

Probably going to bite on Trials DLC, Magic DLC, and maybe Iron Brigade. Looked at a video for Fusion Genesis and didn't really grab my attention. As for worms, I was tempted to get that as well, but hearing one achievement is unobtainable in the DLC might be a dealbreaker.

Not to sound like a douche or anything, but you dont have any one to play castle crashers with? I played a good percentage of the game with random people and eventually made some friends through that. Also its always better to play with others, but castle crashers isnt too bad by yourself espically since you need to lvl grind for the end boss
 
Finally, Trenched (screw the new horrid name!) is on sale. It is mine. Now to hope Toy Soldiers Cold War and Half Minute Hero go on sale soon.
 
Wow I just played the demo for Fusion Genesis the other night. Put it on my must-by list when it reached 400 or less. Due to it's release date I even considered purchasing it at full price because I was enjoying the demo so much with all the ship customization and buying new ships. Try the demo if you like twin stick shooters with upgrading. There appeared to be a lot to do.

The Microsoft sale is really good.. it's too bad I already have almost everything from it.
I just bought castle crashers, Iron brigade, and trials HD full price a few weeks ago. (Also I seem to be about the only person who doesn't get trials.. regret that purchase) And bought Magic 2012 months ago

I will probably pick up orcs must die, maybe iron brigade DLC.

I think that was a price drop, not a sale.
 
I never got around to buying the DLC for Trials, so I'm definitely getting that. I'll probably pick up a few Forza 4 DLC packs as well as Raam's Shadow. Orcs Must Die is also tempting, but I have that on Steam.

Great deals this week. I'd love to see this much on sale every week. Lots of options and great variety.

Well, maybe we should get some CAG groups together? I'm kind of undecided on picking it up but maybe if some CAGs wanted to run through it a mission or two at a time late at night it would sway me. The demo seemed pretty fun.
 
Looks like I need to pick up some points this morning. Planning on getting Haunt (when the review mentioned Luigi's Mansion I was sold) and Iron Brigade for certain. I'm torn on what to do with my remaining 800 points (I had 200 points already on my account).
Should I:
A. Purchase Sonic 4 Episode II
or
B. Purchase Fusion Genesis, Iron Brigade DLC and Kinect Sports 2 golf DLC.

The better value does seem to be with option B. This will also be the first time that I can remember that I will have a zeroed out points total.

Well Sonic 4 Episode II will be 1200 points, so I'd say option B is your only option.

So from comments made it seems like iron brigade isn't good if you play it single player, is that right?

Oh, I didn't know it supported random matchmaking. Either way, I played the demo a few years ago, and it didn't strike me as much more than a simple brawler. I don't necessarily have anything against that, but I have enough on my backlog already that I don't want to bother with something that's just fun. And since you mentioned level grinding, even that quality seems suspect.
 
Nice to see lots of sale items this week. But question, I have the first Duels of the Planeswalkers, is 2012 much better or should I not bother?
