Not coming to consoles.

WHAT!?!
What ending? Limbo had absolutely no story.
There was a story, you must have missed it. It wasn't a blatant in-your-face narrative, but more of a read-between-the-lines story. And the ending was great! Definitely one of my top games that year.

I know a lot of people loved Limbo for some reason but my 2 cents on it. I probably own around 60 XBLA games. Limbo is hands down the worst I have ever played.

I also don't remember much of a story. Some story I guess but barely any.

Damn, dead light was looking like a no brainer day 1 purchase for, but some people are beating it in under 2 hours? Yikes...

I guess Dust will be my only hope for buying anything this SoA, but I am very skeptical at this point.
You suck Microsoft.

They could at least have made these repeat discounts equal in price to the repeat sales. (referring to the chain reaction mostly) I mean they are trying to entice people into buying things they may not really want to get to the end discount being....Full House Poker for no cheaper than the usual sale it hits on DOTW. Brilliant!

With the exception of Carcassone you can almost guarantee every one of those games will be a DOTW within the year and cheaper!
Including Cascassone, I'm pretty sure all of those have already been on DOTW or some other sale and cheaper lol...

Limbo is the only highly CAG-recommended purchase I've ever regretted. Different strokes...

Well I didnt feel any of this year's SoA games were day 1 no-brainer purchases but was kinda hoping the Dust or Deadlight trials might surprise me. IMO they seemed the most promising.

Wreckateer is the best game so far in this Summer of Arcade.

I'm really surprised how good it is.

i can't believe so many of you hate limbo

the puzzles must have been too difficult for you and you need the story to be told to you, rather than thinking for yourself

It had the same story as Super Mario Bros.

So here's a question about the sales app. For chain reaction, since I already own Uno and Risk: Factions, I thought about buying Carcasonne and Full House Poker. It shows Uno but everything else is locked out signaling that I would have to buy it first. I thought I read however that buying from the sales app was fixed.

Regardless, when I click on Uno thinking maybe I just have to click on it for it to unlock the next game, it says "sorry, this offer is currently unavailable". Anybody know if it's down or if it's because I already own the game, it's making the app a bit wonky.
Works for me. I'll take over the site for you.
Nvm only the front page works
Thanks. I need to contact my hosting company, sometimes the front page doesn't load for me. I may have outgrown the shared hosting plan. :(

If you want to take over the hosting payment I would be much obliged. ;)

lol no.

Boy goes into LIMBO to rescue his sister, and then he finds her, and then they SUDDENLY VANISH. Yup, too deep for me.
lol no.

It's a lot deeper than they just vanish.

Can you guys start using spoilers, some of us have limbo but have not passed it.

Does the boy get trapped in Limbo with his sister forever, or something? I assumed that was what happened. Not that I really know either way, since the storytelling was so sparse that I wouldn't have even known who the girl was supposed to be had I not read the blurb on its Steam page some time after beating it.

Yeah, I've heard quite a few gamers express surprise at how much simple pleasure they derived form playing Wreckateer. But, I've also been warned that it quickly wears thin. Still, compared to the other choices, I wouldn't be shocked if you're right.

Don't own a Kinect, so Wreckateer (and Fruit Ninja) = wasted SoA slot to me. I did enjoy the Wreckateer-inspired Trials Evo minigame tho.
Check out the L4D Developer twitter: http://twitter.com/l4ddev

It looks like they have absolutely no idea what's going on or when the DLC is going to be released.
Yeah what a major fuck up this DLC has become. They won't even say when its coming out now or if it'll have achievements.

I'm with you, the storytelling was sparse to a point of uselessness. The wiki page doesn't shed any light on it at all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbo_(video_game)#Plot_2

Well another reason I will never buy a season pass.

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswi...organized-crime-pack-coming-this-august-.html

They say it is a "consolidation" but we have no idea what was really planned from the start and what is being possibly scaled back due to the fact the MP is not as popular as R* was hoping it would be.

I think for the most part people have been unhappy with Season passes. Gears 3 was just ok and Saints 3 was no good. Makes me worried about the AC:III season pass.

I'm w/ Cancerman on this. Gears 3's Season pass was a joke. Live and learn and never again.:shame:

Same issue here, so it's something wrong with the app and already owning uno, or it's not working at all.

Same, already own uno, wanted Risk but I get the error message and can't get past uno.

Just wait. Risk will be 400 points in a few weeks...

I would think that you'd have to buy Uno in order to get the next deal, i.e. if you already own Uno you're SOL.

The thing that really got me with the Gears 3 pass was that it was discounted pretty heavily as part of a MGS sale before all the content was out. In essence, myself and all other early-adopters paid a heavy premium for 1 month early access to some horde and beast maps (the maps were released for free for versus multiplayer wtf) and IIRC 2 week early access for RAAM's shadow, which sucked big time. Now I'm weary about any season passes.

Hoping that's not the case. Maybe somebody who doesn't own UNO could test it to see if it brings them to the purchase screen or not.

If you already own something, that part of the chain should be filled in. I think initially it didn't work that way but got fixed. Last week I had the middle 2 filled in (owning the Gears 3 Season Pass, I had the Horde pack and RAAM's Shadow) and just needed to buy the first thing (avatar Kryll Shield) to get the last one. Though I didn't care to get either.

Someone further up the thread did mention, though, that having Uno in your game history from one of the Arcade compilation discs did not count toward the chain.

Oh interesting, I didn't know that. My mistake.

I don't regret getting the pass itself (all the content was great) but this did irk me. A season pass shouldn't be discounted. It IS the discount. Or at least not before all of the included content is even out.

Yeah I bought the season pass during that sale so I did not feel as bad. I was floored they did that considering the DLC was not even completely released yet. I think it was 1800 points ($22.50) which was 25% cheaper than those who bought on day 1 and I still got most of the content at almost the same time. I really hope they do not take this approach with Judgement. I may be naive to think this but I am not sure Judgment is going to sell that well. Less than 2 years between releases is a tricky thing and it is a prequel that does not really tie into the main trilogy a ton so it just seems like it could fail by GOW standards. They are better off to just put out a full game and if you buy day 1 provide DLC for free. Ok back to reality and the 100 gun skins they will charge for.

Thank you for the info, Bloomy! I was wondering the same thing as JStryke. Passed on Carcassonne when it went on sale alongside Magic & Catan, but was reconsidering now. Unfortunately, my copy of Uno is on-disc.

My uno is from xbla download, so if I pretend I want to re-buy it just to move the chain forward it knows I already own it. Might check back again later in the week.

Is the Sales and Specials+ App exclusive to the states? I can find the page via a download search, but I there is no download button.

I own all of the first 3 through download, and was thinking about buying poker.
But the 2nd and 3rd are showing locked and 2 still says that I have to buy Uno to activate that offer.

I have the new beta dash, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Sorry if this has been posted already but it's a worthy cause so it's ok.

Not a deal exactly but as someone who has had a family member that has had to deal with this, this is a BIG DEAL to me.

Buy Jeremy McGrath's Offroad and help the National Marrow Donor Program bone marrow charity. http://www.oxmonline.com/jeremy-mcgrath-donate-his-game-earnings-bone-marrow-charity

I'll definitely be buying this to help a worthy cause. When NIN2-Jump came out, Cave did something similar and donated to disaster victims in Japan. There was also another music game (I forgot the name) that did something similar as well.
