XBLA Hits - SFII, Brain Challenge, & 3D Ultra Mini Golf Now Just 400pts ea.

I got Assault Heroes a few weeks ago. I like it. It's a pretty well-polished game, and definitely worth the $5.

Eh, I was never much of a Doom fan, so I passed on that.

WOW. I told myself about two weeks ago that I bet they drop the price of puzzle quest, with the new one coming out. I'm so glad I waited now.

That is a steal isn't too bad, considering the amount of gameplay in PQ and the original 1200pt cost.

Anyone heard any updates about the Plague Lord expansion? I haven't seen anything since the name contest a few months ago.

Oh crap...my bad, I read it wrong, its going to be 800pts

I own Puzzle quest on my DS and I haven't beat it yet, but the game is so much fun I think I'll pick it up when i get my xbox back from the repair shop.

I have Puzzle Quest for the PSP. I have beaten it twice on normal and three times on hard. It's easily my most favorite PSP game. I will probably pick up the Xbox version for the achievements.

I'd bet that the expansion content is coming out the same day due to the expansion achievements showing up when you compare your gamerscore to others with the game.

Yeah, I wish the new game was coming to the DS. These types of games I really can only play for a bit each night, or when traveling etc. Just not the type of game I'm going to power on the home theater and sit and play on the 360.
Feeding Frenzy, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and Worms now only 400pts!
I knew UMK3 would drop eventually. I'm going to get it for sure. Thanks Link. I just went on, and UMK3 was still listed at 800 points.

Excellent! I've wanted Worms and Feeding Frenzy But haven't wanted to spend $10 on them. I might even get Mortal Kombat. That's a good price!

That's what I'm thinking. I went to check it out on Live and all prices were still the same. Maybe they will call it CheapAss XBLA Wednesdays and do that once a month when they don't bring out any XBLA games? Seeing as of yet I have not seen anything announced anywhere.

I think I will get UMK3. Maybe worms down the line if I am bored and have extra points.

The only problem is this just brings me closer to filling up my 20 gig HD. Damn you MS and your small HDs.

The games are now at the discounted price on Live, so go and purchase them :) they are still not on the greatest hits section, but should be there later on.

Beautiful. Worms is a definite. Probably also UMK3, although I was never any good at all at any MK games I've ever played. How is Feeding Frenzy? I think there might be a demo of it that was preloaded on my 360 when I bought it that I never bothered to check out or delete. Guess I'll go check it out now, because for 400 points, I'll buy almost anything.

I love seeing these games getting discounted. Might be good for those of us that already have them too, we might see new people playing online.

Was hoping these would show up with the new prices today. Gonna pick up Worms and Feeding Frenzy. I picked up Small Arms last night, didn't know it was only 400 points as well.

Don't already have enough to check out this week? Well Microsoft have thrown even more into your lap - 3D Ultra Minigolf, Brain Challenge, and Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting are getting their prices permanently cut to 400MSP starting Wednesday.

Brain Challenge was released back in March of '08, and has already seen itself part of the Deals Of The Week program once. The game just got a sequel a few days ago on the iPhone, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see that on Xbox Live Arcade later down the line.

Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting already has its big brother on Xbox Live Arcade with HD Remix, but I guess with its release this game's sales have gone to a crawl. Will the price drop to $5 be a big enough push to bring it back in the Top 10 or has every single Street Fighter fan already grabbed one or the other?

3D Ultra Mini Golf was the first Golf game on XBLA, and one of Sierra's earliest digital titles. It's great to see that whoever is controlling the Sierra estate still seems to have an interest in the XBLA. There's a sequel still on the way too, but its been a while since we've heard anything about it.

3 new XBLA games, 3 new Arcade hits, and one Deal of the Week with new DLC? Chockers - but not very beneficial to those new releases. Next week's Top 10 is going to be very bizarre.

If I get Street Fighter II, will I just get my ass beat as badly and as often as I do in SFIV and MVC2?

I love the Capcom fighters, but my lack of a pad or stick and years away from the genre have made me an easy target. :whistle2:(

It's pathetic that these have taken this long to become "XBLA Hits". One really has to wonder what the criteria are for these. SFII and 3D Ultra Mini Golf have been out since 2006.
