None in my email despite registering on December 1 2010. Hmmm...
Does anyone know whats going on with Zombie Wranglers ? its 400 points off yet it doesnt show it when you go to buy it .
It's Microsoft hinting to us that we shouldn't buy this game at any price.

(I'm waiting for it too.)

It was sent from xbox rewards. Are you in that program?

Member since December 1 2010 with 1990 points earned so far. Yes. I've been an Xbox Gold member for 8 years.

Just beat Outland. Damn, the bosses in that game are HARD (especially that last one, sheesh). I didn't expect this game to be that difficult, but I'm glad I was able to finish it.
i just watched a trailer for rock of ages and i have no clue what i saw.

i'm intrigued, someone sell me on it.
Podcast folks seemed to think it was stupid fun. I plan on getting it.
want Scott Pilgrim sale by end of the year.
it was just on sale a couple weeks ago, but I guess anything is fair game for the countdown

dont expect much. SOA games will be there for a fact, maybe some new vegas dlc, and some more popular arcade games that have gone on sale multiple times before. Also movies will be a big one, but honestly who really buys movies for their xbox from Zune?

I think SOA games are really what everyone is waiting for anyway. Pretty much everything else has already been on sale at some point this year, except for the most recent releases of course.

I wonder what the sales will be for the countdown. I'm hoping for some good stuff. Hoping for NBA Jam and, although extremely unlikely, Joe Danger.

Edit - And Bastion.

NBA Jam is my biggie. Wouldnt it be perfect as a christmas gift for 400 MSP and thats the day the season starts aswell. Joe has a 3% in my book. Expect to see games before October.

You mean games released before October? RE4 and RE:CV just make that cut, and I'd bite at $10 / 800 MSP.

Yes it was, but then again I also had my account hacked and suspended so I got to miss it.

werd 10$ on CV would be awesome but I doubt it

didn't think of that. Microsoft knows that we want it badly, but from what I read, mircosoft doesn't decide whats goes on sale, its the publisher of the game. So it all falls on capcom not being an ebenezer scrooge. Hell 1200 MSP might be a price I jump on RE 4 for the second time.

I want Crysis for 10 dollars, but I doubt I will be so lucky.

Also DLC for sale not to get into specifics.

Knowing it was probably asked already, but anybody remember the logistics and specifics of holiday sales on Xbox Live?

SOA for sure, movies, I can see maybe 2 days dedicated to just kinect stuff, dlc for some of the more popular games ( fallout?), and arcade games that have gone on sale before. Nothing to special. RE4 and NBA Jam are all I really look for. Going to try the demo out for bastion, to see if I can fall into all the hype.
"You know this thread saved you at least $5. So why not give it to the kids."

Man, seeing the slow creep of the ticker was harm enough... why you gotta do that to a brotha...

I do feel like I need to do my part, and a lot more people here could afford to. I bought Tony Hawk Shred the other day, for crying out loud. That money could've served a purpose.
I could go down to the Pediatrics unit (they participate in Child's Play) and snap some pics and really hit you with guilt. I'm trowing my cash after X-Mas. I donated some really cool posters the Nintendo rep gave me last week. The kids seemed to like them from what I heard.

Im hoping for SOA (Bastion & cold war) as well as orcs must die! And dungeon defenders.

I would also bite on half minute hero, mega man 9, orig toy soldiers, maybe crimson alliance.

Want: Bastion, ITSP, Guardian Heroes
Would Bite: Iron Brigade (Trenched), RE4/CV, Dungeon Defenders, any Bioware/Bethesda DLC I don't already have

I Remember last year they had all the then available Mass Effect 2 DLC for 200 points. Good times.

Looking through my titles and ALOT of stuff I want, though I'd kill for all the Fallout: NV DLC to go for cheap.

Risk:Factions for 40msp and I'll buy it.

The price of avatar gloves seems fitting...ugh, I'm in pun mode. Time for bed. Sorry.

Rock of Ages is like Marble Madness meets tower defense meets Monty Python. It's unique and fun enough that a may actually pick it up, depending on many points I burn through on other items going on sale for the countdown thing.

A great sale this week for shooter fans. I re-downloaded all of the demos again, and although these are all great games, none of them grabbed me enough to warrant a purchase. Hard Corps is the only one I'm considering, but I think 400 msp is my trigger point...

If anyone is starved for shmup material, I'd recommend a couple XBL indie games: Shoot 1UP (which i just purchased as a penance for not biting on any of the other games this week), and Vampire Rage. I haven't played much of the former yet, but it has retro graphics and a unique multi-ship mechanic. The latter is almost disappointly short (well under 30 minutes), and relatively simplistic, but for 80 msp it's quite fun, polished, and worth multiple play throughs. I just wish the guy would make a sequel.

To add on to this, there's also Vorpal (80msp). I've only played the demo thus far, but it's like a black/white version of Touhou, but only the boss battles. If you're a fan of bullet hell, it's a decent pickup for cheap.

Looks like Bangai-O for me for sure, definite pass on Guwange, and really leaning towards buying Radiant Silvergun. Smooth controls in the demo, having all those different weapons is really cool, and grinding upgrades to get better is something I enjoy doing. Plus avatar awards.

Even though I already have Bangai-O for the Dreamcast I felt compelled to pick it up for the HD visuals. Yes, I know it's not the same game.

I am considering picking up Radiant Silvergun but have a feeling I need to save my points for the countdown. I'm hoping Major Nelson leaks something before the current DOTW expires.

Last year, were the countdown deals only valid for a single day or for the duration of the sale?

Single day.

I am hoping for Bastion, NBA Jam, ITSP, Orcs Must Die, Dungeon Defenders and Maybe Half Minute Hero. Anybody have an opinion on HMH? I was just wondering how it is.

i want a sale on original xbox game stubs the zombie

i saw an article on ign where they were reminiscing their favorite memories of the xbox on it's 10 year anniversary, many mentioned that game which i never heard of

i watched some vids on it and it looked cool

Xbla goty imho

Got Guwange and Bangai O, pretty sure im gonna go back and get Radiant Silvergun tommorow.

Pretty awesome sales lately, too bad im sitting on 90+ downloadable games on my HDD

Big fan of Vorpal. Only just six bosses worth of content and with different characters arcade modes to play though. It hits my weak spot though with the arcade style "only telling story snippets through pre-fight dialogue" thing that's like a direct shot right to my balls. It draws me in. Castle Shikigami did the same thing to me and what few fighting games I play do the same thing to me. It's why I say writing a "mysterious" plot is easy. Write something even remotely creative and then only explain it with glancing small bits of explanation and you'll enthrall half the audience.

Sorry. Got off on a tangent.

Either way, I enjoy Vorpal. It's not perfect, a few of the patterns are weak sauce and there's no grand last pattern worthy of a final boss and Normal is right about at my skill level but it is kinda REALLY generous on the lives but it's great fun. I keep wishing it and Vorpal 2 would join BTM and Sequence and Cthulu as XBLIG ship jumpers.
