I'll admit that made me laugh. What are they thinking? Also, I was content just picking up Outrun, but all this praise over the Sega Rally Online is making me wanna play the trial and see if it's worth it. As if this week wasn't killing my wallet already. Not surprised at the lack of a new arcade release this Tuesday, and I'm not surprised that Voltron is the only game coming out next Tuesday. There were a bunch of add-ons released though, including Robin for Arkham City and the Arena Pack for Dead Island.
+1 again. I loved CQ so much that I beat it in one sitting. On the flip side of the coin the DLC Grubbins on Ice just felt lazy. I wasn't nearly as impressed, I laughed out loud multiple times playing the full game, but not once during the DLC. Not worth 400 asking price at all, I know it's never been on sale, but keep waiting, trust me. I played the full demo for Stacking and it just seemed way too simple and didn't grab me like Costume Quest did. If I even did buy Stacking I'd say 200 would be the most I'd pay.

In other news, REALLY hoping for Bastion and Fallout NV DLC. Glad AC:B DLC FINALLY went on sale, but I mean what took so long? Revelations is already out. I loved the demo for Warhammer Kill Team, but no online was a total deal-breaker, but I'll probably bite for 400.
Yeah I wouldn't pay more than $5 for the Da Vinci DLC. MP is going to be dead as everyone will have moved on to Revelations and the single player mission takes a few hours and that's it. It does unlock 250 more achievement points, but 100 of that is 1 achievement for getting 100% sync in both the main game and the DLC.

Super Meat Boy worth it at 400 if I already own it on Steam? It's virtually impossible to play with a keyboard so this would be much more convienent, but it's not like I can't enjoy it if I don't buy it on XBL.

Get a wired 360 controller! It's worth it for any console centric games on PC and in general any games meant to be played with a controller on PC.

I think the main difference with xbla are some unlockable characters like Tim from braid and Gish.

Damn it psn has it but i dont want to use my real money got tons of ms points

I've thought about it, but I'd basically be getting it only for SMB. I'm fine with mouse + keyboard in every other game I own.

I can actually hook up my PS3 controller, but it's not that convenient.

I would say that buying a copy on Xbox Live Arcade is not a bad option at all. The 400 Microsoft Points you spend on Super Meat Boy would be supporting an Indie developer who will likely make more awesome games like Super Meat Boy in the future while supporting the current game with new levels. :)
who wants to be a millionaire Special edition. Supposed to be this week, I guess it got pushed back until next.
As someone else said, Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Special Editions is a European-exclusive XBLA title from DoubleSix, the people who made South Park: LGTDP. The game is 800 Points, 400 for the South Park DLC, and 240 for the movie questions DLC. You can buy it, but you'd need to create a European live account and buy some points off-a Ebay as I did. Cost me $19 total for 1600 Euro Points.

Great game with very easy Achievements, and the South Park add-on is awesome. The only downside is that you can't skip the host's speech, making the game go a little slower than necessary. It's a shame that it didn't come to the US (same as the previous WP7 version), but the show has different licensors for different countries.

Those 400 MSP Bing and 160 MSP GameStop giveaway codes works on EU accounts too if anybody got those lying around and wants to get Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Some US store bought 800 MSP cards might work too.

Somewhat off topic, but the dashboard shows that Fringe (TV Show) Season 1 is on sale. Anyone know what the price was before the sale?

As opposed to supporting a REAL developer who would be making awesome REAL games.

If you've at all followed the Team Meat dudes, you'd know they are assholes.

SMB is pretty fun but please don't kid yourself in thinking that an investment in an indie developer is any more innately good than an investment in a proper developer.

And, yeah, if you somehow don't play enough PC games to find a use for a 360 controller for PC (Which I cannot possibly believe. You don't play shumps? SoRR? Racing games? Seriously?), then you may as well get it for Xbox.

Has Gears of War for Windows ever gone on sale?

I have the 360 version but would like to pick up the PC version, but don't really want to pay $20 for it!
Bioshock games for windows and Minerva's den are on sale.
Agreed. Unless a PC gamer (who also happens to own a 360) only plays FPS and RTS games (boring!), a wired Xbox 360 controller is a great investment.

Or the wireless receiver, if someone is anti-wires.
So are we still waiting for unannounced sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
I'm hoping for some good ones!! At least a cpl games at 160 ms points.

Also Happy Thanksgiving day to all who celebrate it today!

A 360 wired controller works great for pc games, as I use it for all my gfwl games but they are getting harder to find and kind of pricey. Think they stopped making them and by the way, super meat boy is worth it for 400 msp and the developers made up with Microsoft which is why they have the game on sale and think they're suppose to release some extra levels for free on the 360.

I hope Bastion and other good games go on sale so more people can support those developers and also enjoy those good games. Get your Xmas points ready, you'll need them ;)

P.S. ~>Please Harmonix, put some rb Dlc on sale :)
All I'm hoping for is Bastion on sale Tomorrow/Monday. I won't get greedy and say 600 MSP. 800 will do just fine.
Screw that noise, Black Friday is all about being greedy. And stampeding over old ladies and kids. 400 MSP or nothin'.
P.S. ~>Please Harmonix, put some rb Dlc on sale :)
I second this. As long as it's a *real* sale, and not the crap deals where they put up the same DLC that was already 50% off last year for only 25% off.

Last year we knew days before what the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales were going to be, it sucks they only gave us the partial list this year. Had it all planned out last year and had them DLing before I went to work, now I have to actually look into it after working Black Friday. Yay.
Is Sega Rally worth $5? The demo doesn't let you play much.
I asked the same question but from all the feedback it is worth it. I still haven;t downloaded it yet. In fact i didn't get anything form this sale yet
I asked the same question but from all the feedback it is worth it. I still haven;t downloaded it yet. In fact i didn't get anything form this sale yet
Yeah the only thing I got was Super Meat Boy which I had been waiting to get forever.

fuck it. I have a shit ton of points, I'll just get it.
Is Sega Rally worth $5? The demo doesn't let you play much.
Be warned that Sega Rally is frustratingly difficult compared to many other racers. Daytona, now that's a nice, easy Sega arcade racing game.
Be warned that Sega Rally is frustratingly difficult compared to many other racers. Daytona, now that's a nice, easy Sega arcade racing game.
I can somewhat vouch for this statement. I don't have Sega Rally Online Arcade, but I do have Sega Rally Revo (which is what Online Arcade is built from) and the AI is EXTREMELY unforgiving and very aggressive in races. The AI will run absolutely perfect laps more often than not, and they don't play nice. They will shove you around, into walls, off course and bully you. Not to say the AI is bad, because it isn't. It's extremely smart and drives well.

I asked on the last page, if I should get this even though I already own Revo and no one replied. I'm just not sure if they did anything to Online Arcade to make me want to buy it or not. Revo is an extremely pretty game in terms of graphics and the controls are really responsive. So if you don't have Revo, I highly recommend Online Arcade just out of the fact it's built on the same engine. The main question I have though, is do I want Online Arcade if I already own Revo?

Repurchased Super Meat Boy after I somehow lost the activation when I transferred content from one HDD to another. 400 pts was worth it, even though I had already beaten it. There is a ton of post game content.

Eh, the license transfer process failed for it or you didn't know about it? Usually even if you don't license transfer you can play your games while the profile that purchased it is logged on.

Do you guys really think there are going to be a lot of unannounced BF/CM sales? My guess is there will only be a very few, and they won't be all that good. If they were great deals, seems like Crazy Larry would have announced them.

Just my pessimistic 2 cents. Hope I'm wrong.

There may be some if they said "and more" but I haven't seen the advertisement since I sold my Xbox last Friday. I do know that last year the only deals were those "Crazy Larry" specifically announced.

Bought Crazy Taxi, same great gameplay, but new lame music. I probably wouldn't have made the purchase if I knew better about the soundtrack...

Considering getting Marvel vs Capcom 2 and MK Collection.

I, too, have a ton of msn points accumulated. Some "fan appreciation." Don't want any of those games. And unless there's some "secret" black friday and/or cyber monday deals unannounced, microsoft gets NONE of my points and none of my money. *sigh*

..They already got your money though. You just haven't chosen what to spend it on yet. ;)

Yep, I know about it. I have 60-70 XBLA games and have transferred content several times with various HDD upgrades or new consoles. SMB comes up as a trial now on my new system. Everything else works fine. There is nothing to be done about it except repurchase if I wanted to play it again.

2,000+ bing reward points does not equal any money spent, whatsoever. But thanks for playing, anyway.

so you're complaining about microsoft not having games you want to buy with points they gave you?

Some people are just never satisfied.

Example:
CAG69URMA: "Oh, well game x isn't on sale, I really want game x to go on sale"

Game x goes on sale for 50% off

CAG69URMA: "That's not a big enough discount"

Game x goes on sale for 66% off

CAG69URMA: "I'll just wait on a price drop"

What are the odds of Fallout: New Vegas DLC going on sale?

I want to get it for Steam, since NV is $5, and each DLC is between $.50-$2.50. But my Fallout character with like 40 hours is on 360 :'[

There was a sale not too long ago on NV DLC I think. But even if there was, I'm just going to wait for the complete edition to be released in February (I think) so I can have it all on a disc

The sale was only on the first two DLCs, The last two haven't been on sale yet. Hopefully they got on sale at some point

you might be able to "export" your save. I wouldn't risk going from PC back to 360 (possible bantown), but 360 to PC should be fine.
