Same here(somewhat jokingly)....if it does go on sale, my stance on season passes will change drastically. I'll now wait for season passes to go on sale instead of buying day 1. Hell, Mortal Kombat, LA Noire and now the Gears pass will have been on sale?

I can wait a few months for the passes to go on sale. I got a big backlog, so I can be patientt
...and Forza 4 (which I will buy if it's 50% off, but they just raised the car pack prices to 560 each instead of the normal 400 msp. Then, they said you can get them at 400 again if you buy them all before you know what's in them. Re-tart-ed)!
Wow if this turns out to be true that would be AWFUL. I wouldn't end up spending a single msp. Way too much dlc. But not gonna get worked up about it yet, just hope its not real. :)
Yeah, same here.

12/22/2011: Fallout contents
24.12.2011: Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition
25/12/2011: Fruit Ninja Kinect
12/26/2011: Forza Motorsport 4 content (including Season Pass, avatar items)
12/27/2011: Reach Halo content (including Gond, packs, avatar items, etc.)
28/12/2011: Sonic contents
12/29/2011: Red Dead Redemption content
30/12/2011: Gears of War 3 content (including Season Pass Add-ons and avatar items)
31.12.2011: Call of Duty contents
I hope that list is wrong, but so far it hasn't been. Nothing on that list interests me at all...

Well if that list holds true (looks like it might), then that's disappointing. Was hoping for more arcade games to go on sale, specifically Half Minute Hero or Dungeon Defenders. Sonic, RDR and Halo content have all been on sale multiple times this year so they seem like wasted days. Only thing I've grabbed so far was Renegade Ops, which I'm already kind of regretting because it was only $3 on steam and came with all the DLC, but I refuse to double dip now. Might just end up getting Bloodrayne, despite it's lukewarm reception since its the only other thing I'm remotely interested in.

Also, reckon there's going to be some backlash over the Gears pass discount (if it does in fact go on sale), seeing as all the scheduled content for it hasn't even been fully pushed out yet. I recall there were quite a few salty people in here when the same thing happened with LA Noire's pass, and that was months after the content was released. I'm glad I held off on buying it because I ended up playing Gears 3 into the ground within the first 2 months. Not even sure I'd bite at the discounted rate to be honest. Probably going to be 1600 min I'm guessing.

if list = true, then only a substantial discount on Forza's season pass would entice me.

already had the gears pass...but it would be a great deal for those into gears.

happy holidays to you all!

I'm not having any issues but I did notice the Service Alert icon was lit when I visited xbox.com earlier.

Eastx, did you see my question regarding Renegade Ops? I was wondering how active the community still is.
Sorry I didn't see that. You uh, remember me owning Renegade Ops because of the Game with Fame event a while back? If so, high five! But no, it doesn't have much of an online community. I blame the fact that you can't earn 11 of the Achievements while playing online, which is really stupid of the devs. Also it is just a buggy-ass game, though decently fun when it's not crashing or erasing your character progress.

Yeah, Renegade's online community is almost dead. Same goes to Rock of Ages - today tried to find some matches for the 10 wins achievement and for 40mins i found only one dude. Played with him two games and he quit. -_-
I know you didn't ask me, but I think I can answer your question. I purchased Renegade Ops as soon as it went down to 600 points.

A majority of the time when I try to join matches in it, it won't find anybody playing. When I did find matches there were probably only found 2 or 3 people total playing online, but every time I joined one of them they either shut down the game, or it was someone away from their controller and they wouldn't start the session. So as of now I haven't been able to play one single game of multiplayer in Renegade Ops.
Thanks for posting, that was really helpful. I did just buy the PC version because it was only $2.99 on Amazon and I figured both versions would be DOA online. Your experience describes what happens to me the majority of the time on Xbox Live; it's hard finding other players for unpopular XBLA games too like Outland.

I didn't remember that it was actually you who had it, I just remembered that co-optimus was hosting a game night for it. It was distinctive in my mind because I check co-optimus regularly, Renegade Ops looked exactly like the type of game I would enjoy, and Sega is a class act for publishing all the other titles I love (Resonance of Fate, Bayonetta, Vanquish).

I just read your write-up of that game night now and it's a shame there were hardly any players for it even when the game was new. I think it's more that it was $15 than the mostly-offline achievements - I love this kind of game and even I would be reluctant to buy it at that price. I've never heard of the bug that erases your character progress - I hope that's not in the PC version.

Can someone point me in the direction of these sales? I go to the games area & special offers, & all it gives me is some sonic sale, rock of ages(I think) & recently reduced. Am I missing something? Do I need to individually search each game? Plz help.

Major Nelson has a nice spreadsheet on his blog, (majornelson.com), of the sale items.

Just saw on MajorNelson's twitter feed a few hours ago that people think gamertag changes will be free on X-Mas. This has been shot down, so don't expect that and please don't spread it here.

Perhaps I'm blind but I can't find the spreadsheet. Can you please provide us a link?

Question for you, eastx - how bad are the bugs in the game? I was actually considering getting it, but like D&D Daggerdale, I would hate to make progress with my character just to end up losing progress with them.

Game crashes I can deal with, as Raskulls and Limbo have both done it to me numerous times, but character progress is a whole other thing.

On the home page of the dashboard the large middle square cycles through like 4 or 5 different things. One of them is the Holiday Sale.

This. I've stopped visiting the site during these sales. I get caught up in the comments and start chiming in and become no better than them. So I've banned myself from that site.

I don't understand why someone wanted the link? It's not like there is a thread with all the sales listed. Oh, wait we are in it. Don't trust the OP?

I thought it was just me.. I have had this game crash on me like 4 times in the last few days.. I even managed to get my vehicle stuck somehow and I couldn't proceed...

and why does a timer pop up to make you get to your objective? You can't run and gun on these levels.. taking your time is key but the timer forces me to change my play style..

hmmm...i bought the game on Tuesday and played through it single player with no problems. Got to lvl 32 with the roxy character, never froze or crashed or erased any progress. I'm happy with it for 600, glad I didn't pay anymore.

I am having fun with the game.. its just the bugs and glitches that are annoying.

Just google renegade ops bugs and you'll see the list of things that are happening to peoples games..

Looks like the list is correct, then. Ugh.

Guess I'll snag ITSP & Gears 3 season pass and that's it. Unless the Gears 3 season pass goes for 33% off, then I'll skip it.

Edit: Wow, after today, we're looking at 5 of 6 days of straight DLC, excluding Sonic on the 28th. (Forza, Halo, Red Dead, Gears, Call of Duty).
any idea how much Forza 4 season pass will be?
Probably half off.

I really wanted to buy some games from you Microsoft, (Orcs must die expansion, Magic expansion decks, Trine 2), but looks like I'll be holding on to my points a tad longer.

These "sales" are seriously weak sauce. Most of the people who own the games that have the DLC and season pass packs already have purchased those things by now anyhow, and Fruit Ninja is way overpriced for a game that is just swinging your arms around.

Let's pray Microsoft never ever buys Steam.

I agree that these sales are poor, but xbla dlcs very rarely go on sale. And trine 2 is expecting WAY too much.

think i'll buy gears season pass, regardless of discount, since i want it anyway. deals suck this year imo, tho wasnt there another new years sale last year? so far i see nothing about one this year :(

Not too much to expect them to throw us 33% off a new game for a holiday sale. It's always old crap or just crappy games that were overpriced to begin with when MS has their "sales".

I'm sure it isn't going to kill them to throw us a bone on some actual deals for one day.
