The original price is 2400msp. So it's only 25% off.
 
so I guess we can assume that gears might fall for that same price. So if Im right there will be 2 story dlcs and 2 multiplayer dlcs in the season pass, cause from what I get this upcoming marcus themed #3 dlc doesnt add any new single player experience.

Dang, that Forza season pass was going to be the highlight of the sale for me but 1800 is more than I'm willing to pay for a bunch of 2011 Audis I'll never use. Think I'll just buy the muscle car pack.
 
Eh, it's a racing game. I see more cars as akin to more playable characters when the only one that matters is the fastest.

But yeah 25% off is nowhere near enough.

I bit, as it's 300 pts per pack, and they have the individual cars for 160 as usual, but since they jacked up the "best car"price in each pack to 240, it was close enough to fool me :wall:. I hate that I supported it, as it will be on sale cheaper by the time I get to play it (BIG AAA backlog & new job w 4am - 1pm hours).

No it hasn't and Epic has really been pissing me off recently. They've gotten greedy as hell lately and it's extremely disappointing. I'd be livid at half off even enough to write them directly and still would be mad at 33% off, even having bought the pass Day 1 because I certainly could have waited on the completely useless Horde pack and while I loved Ramm's Shadow I could def have waited several days to play it. Epic has been shitting on its hardcore fans left and right especially by giving away all of the previously exclusive unlocks.

This is not directed at you but rather the comment on Epic crapping on Hardcore fans. When you charge $45 for "weapon skins" you pretty much decided you do not care about your fans and decided this game is your cash grab for this console generation. On the flip side I have a hard time feeling bad for GOW3 fans when they will spend $20-$40 on ONE multiplayer skin. I have learned my lesson with other season passes and will never believe that buying one will give me the greatest saving possible. If EPIC can get another half a million people to buy the season pass by dropping it 25% it is just gravy to them. It is a digital product with no distribution costs. There is no way it is worth $30 to begin with.

Or some of its fans are entitled jackasses - depends on how you look at it. Me, I don't think they have to give us any post-release content, but I love the stuff they've produced so far.

Responding to several people with this one. In my experience, playing multiplayer for about 4 hours one night, the game froze all of our consoles 4 times or so. A bit more frequent than most games, and it affected all 4 people in the multiplayer game.

As for the character progress glitch, it never hit me, but a friend lost all of his progress on one character. Worse, if the glitch happens to you, there's no way to get the progress back on that character - the game still thinks of them as being the original built-up level, but takes away all upgrades, rendering them useless. But you can play with one of the other characters, as my friend had to do.

Did Sega patch the game when they produced the recent DLC? They sure didn't inform the press, but it's possible. There was definitely a patch available when I started playing, but it simply didn't fix the aforementioned problems.

Would I still buy Renegade Ops knowing how glitchy it is? For 600 Points, sure. 1200 was always too steep for the amount of content/roughness of the game, though.

Thanks for reading, man. :) I am quite fond of Sega (particularly Sonic CD and Sonic Generations), but they could have handled Renegade Ops better.
 
The season pass is fine imo, even better at discount. I agree about the crap about the weapon skins but I just ignore it. The real problem with Epic is that they do some really dumb things like having all characters with Snowman heads in online matches. Hilarious for about 30 seconds until it starts screwing up the gameplay.
 
I agree, sucks to find out now that lots of people will have the Savage Kantus and other unlocks. They might as well pull an ea and have a key unlock to get you all the characters and what not. The infamous "time is money" pack..

The problem with your comment is that you are saying this is all post release content when it is not. ANYTHING on the disc is release content no matter how you slice it. This was content completed before the disc went gold and therefore is not post release. On top of that you cannot say most DLC (whether MP or SP) is priced the same as the original game was. DLC is almost ALWAYS overpriced. It may be optional and sometimes it is great but $15 map packs and $15 single player experiences that last less than 3 hours are overpriced. It is not about entitlement. If they suddenly decided to charge $90 for a game would you think people where entitled if they complained? It is about getting value and DLC is mostly priced outside a good value.

I sold my Savage Kantus code for $25. If I was the person who purchased it I would be really pissed.

Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 had a 3mb update today when I played it and now we get the "heroes & heralds" that we've been waiting on. The Germans were right all along..

I played the demo of Iron Brigade yesterday and wish it would go on sale, probably not though since it just came out earlier this month...these deals are meh, have not bought a single thing.. last year i bought a crapton of stuff.

I was confused a bit at first when they changed the name too. It seriously needs to go on sale though. I absolutely loved the demo.
 
The absolutely only thing I'm interested in is if the Forza 4 Season Pass actually goes on sale here in about 2 hours. Other than that, everything else has been stuff I don't want or stuff I already have.

Was hoping RDR UN Collection would be 800 points but the Forza Season Pass is worrying me.Everything else has been 50% off up til that

pretty much... I think it's foolish to say they aren't greedy at this point. and this is not a casual game, most of the casual players have already traded it in and moved on to MW3 (I have several friends that already traded it in specifically for that in november). but it's whatever, I'm sure I'll get called out in here for being upset about it all, but I don't care, I won't be buying any new epic games at launch from now on, and won't be buying any dlc at all from anyone at this point until it goes on sale. I don't need any of it right away anyways, especially didn't need the season pass since the 5 new maps that were released for gears at this point were released for free to everyone, lmao..
 
I finally got around to trying the renegade ops demo. I felt bored halfway through it so after finishing it I deleted it and won't be buying it. After that I tried insanely twisted shadow planet's demo. I lost in about 2 minutes and immediately deleted it as it was hard, didn't seem fun, and is definitely the type of game that will piss me off.
 
I can understand people being upset about the season passes going on sale, but after the LA Noire pass went on sale in September it was obvious that they could go on sale. If you can't assign any value to having access to the content early, why are you buying it early at all and not just waiting for a sale?

Here's your analogy: This is like buying a year-long pass to an amusement park in January and then complaining when the same pass goes on sale in March.

I must say though with the LA Noire pass, all the content had been fully released so it made more sense for it to go on sale. Mind you I am not complaining about the season passes going on sale faster, I'm all for it (gonna get the gears one). I just didn't expect the GOW3 or Forza 4 passes to go on sale until all the content (or at least majority of it) was released.

I didn't get it all early, I got 2 map packs early, and barely even that. again it's whatever and I'll get over it lol, but I think it's bad fan appreciation when you do things like put a season pass on sale that you advertised as 33 percent off and a great idea to buy early, and then you put it on sale before half the content for it has even come out. leaves a bad taste, and i don't know about anyone else, but i'm never gonna bite into something twice that tastes like shit.

This. I can be patient and be a CAG. No more season passes at full price for me. I've learned my lesson

My prediction is that the next season pass to be discounted, will be Saints Row 3.....I can wait
 
In all honesty, I think the price is a bit disappointing. I was hoping for half off on the season passes. 600 points off is ok, but I would much rather have seen them pick something else and give a better deal. I just dont get excited at 25% off. In fact, I can easily just walk away from 25% off sales altogether. 50-75% is what I look for in sales and that goes for more than just video games.
