They have gotten better because they are competing against Xbox live. Competition is whats driving the advancements and innovation we have seen in the online gaming market, not people speaking up and demanding more. The Playstation Network is where it is today because of Xbox Live, period. Competition is what drives innovation in a free market. Its always been this way and it always will be this way and this goes for the PC market as well as the console market.

As for the game pricing, your comparing the PC market to the console market. Don't get me wrong, your certainly entitled to do so. It just doesn't make any sense to do so, at least not in regards to game pricing. PC games are, for the most part, significantly cheaper than the console versions especially when talking about Xbox Live Arcade games. There is a smaller price discrepancy with On Demand games but Xbox Live Arcade games....well, MS is never going to compete with Steam's pricing in regards to these games. Its simply never going to happen. They are two completely different markets in regards to pricing. Piracy is one of the main reasons that this discrepancy in pricing exists. The consoles are just a completely different market and if you go around expecting MS to compete with Steams pricing....well, your going to be disappointed quite often.

It's a puzzle game from a first person perspective, and is really witty too. The game opens up when you can shoot both portals, don't judge it until then.

I notice the dashboard sales only has 12 slots and the 12th slot will be filled with the CoD crap tomorrow. I suppose M$ is going out with a whimper? Oh wells I guess. I got Bastion, SFIII and Renegade Ops, so it's not all bad.

I am also wondering if there will be sales for the 1st and 2nd. Up until yesterday, there were slots with question marks for those days.

There won't be. Not sure where the rumor that there would be even came from. Some of the deals will carry through til the 2nd, but the daily deals won't.
 
Ive never played a portal game either. Shit looks too confusing, but ill try the demo. Surprised that none of the black ops dlc went on sale. Kinda was looking for more people to play online with, cause the numbers have dropped. Shit do people here even play waw zombies anymore?

That's what I'm waiting on too. The demo wasn't bad, just that it was one of those games where I feel I'd be overwhelmed by the repetition.
 
Looks like I'm gonna lose out on getting the Gears of War Season Pass and possible Call of Duty content. My Xbox Live account was hacked today, lost all my msp. My account is now locked and under investigation.

Plus I bought AC:R signature edition off ebay few days ago, most likely my account won't be unlocked before the Jan. 15th, so there goes all the nice dlc I wanted with it.

Lost a catwoman dlc code to a scammer on CAG by the name of "Wordoron". Plus I have a terrible flu thats getting worse. But hey! at least I got Bastion for 600 msp! Oh, wait, I can't use that either.

Can anyone here top this? Doubtfull

Sorry to hear that. I know a few people got hacked because of a FIFA-related bug that EA has no interest in fixing.

But, you can always create another account, buy some points for it, and still get in on the deals. As long as it's on the same xbox, you can play any game or use any DLC that was purchased via another account.

Hey create a new account on ur 360, add MS points, and buy all the shit u want. once u get ur account back, play it. If u buy and download on the same 360, u can play it on all accounts on that 360

Yeah thought about doing that but spending more money because MS and/or EA sucks is the last thing I want to do. Not worth it.

I'll most likely have to bring it up to the BBB because I know they won't compensate me accordingly for the inconvience, piece of mind, privacy, loss of Xbox Live time, missing out on sales, not being to redeem any code I've bought, and not being able to play my holiday gifts. Oh, they will hear it.

Portal is not a shooter. Far from it. First person puzzle game with minor action elements.

If you only play RPGs, then you're an RPG Gamer. You must qualify your Gamer status with "RPG" immediately preceding it every time. If you branch out to other genres, then you may use the word Gamer sans "RPG."
 
Someone mentioned that you can change the theme through the social tab on the new dashboard. I've been trying to do it for the last 15 minutes with no success. Anyone can give me a hint?

I wasn't saying portal was FPS I was just saying I wasn't a dudebro. And I don't just play RPGs, they're just my favorite genre. And.. gosh I've dug myself in a whole. .

Social -> select your avatar, press A -> change theme

There is no FIFA related bug. If you are talking about the accounts hacked in October, it was a limited number of accounts but had nothing to do with an EA bug. Whomeever was hacking into the accounts was purchasing FIFA content with the hacked accounts, but it was not specifically an EA FIFA bug. If you know otherwise, I would love to see a link to a story.

As a general rule you should change your password on a regular basis -- most people do not. Also, don't attach a CC to your XBL or PSN account use the points cards instead.

We already did: Sadly no WoW or Black Ops (WoW sucks anyway)

MW2 is 2400 (Games on Demand)
Both MW2 DLC packs: 600 each

Modern Warfare 1 is 1200 (Games on Demand)
Its DLC pack is 400.

Doesn't really matter at this point who did it or how. The CC attached to my account was my bros. Nothing was charged on it fortunately. Though the points used up on my account were for FIFA content so there is some connection, in a way.

Agreed. I had my hopes up for the black ops map packs to go for 600 and nothing shows up. So I only bought 4 things from the XBLA Holiday Sales:

That was my fault for not counting the days. 12 vs 14 etc...

lol they did any awesome job didn't they. Loved the beginning narration. I thought Undead Nightmare was one of the best DLC I've ever bought. I hope rockstar makes another western genre game.
 
yo dudebro, every1 has different taste, and if I didn't play portal, who cares? I can still be a gamer, there are thousands of games to play don't care bout valve games, maybe am not into puzzel games, but trust me I am a GAMER!! I play ton of games, and spent alot of time into them. so don't tell me am not a gamer b/c i didn't play 1 game. I don't give a damn about any of valve games. Halflife was good, but i moved on. i own portal on my macbook.

That is what I want too (I really wanted the Black Ops maps) but sadly it is not. The link shows the deals already active (The Call of Duty deals are currently active on Xbox.com)

as if these daily deals didn't stink enough, we get dlc for a 2 year old game

and why would somebody still be playing modern warfare 2 today? i would think if you're that into the multiplayer you would've moved on to black ops or MW3 by now
