I thought buying DR:CZ was a steal at 400!!! Now I am debating on DR:CW!!
If it means anything CW got a 8.5 at IGN and CZ got a 6.5

Case West & Case Zero DO NOT NEED THE DR2 DISC. They are only available via XBLA.

If you pick up Case Zero, you can transfer your level (max lv.5) among the clothing & combo cards you find in the game to DR2.

Also, Case West has co-op while Case Zero does not. Case West also has clothing & combo weapons exclusive to the game.

If you're one of those people who could never work out the time management aspect of the Dead Rising games be aware that it's not a problem in Case West. There is plenty of time and no survivor escort. You still find survivors, but they find their own way out.

Bought Contra for sure. I already own SF2 on SNES, so I'll demo the 360 version.

Tempted to buy Case Zero since it's only 200 MSP, but man did I hate Dead Rising 1. Think it was the save system that finally drove me nuts.

I'm also on the fence about Banjo. Awesome game but I've beaten it twice on the 64. Would be a no brainer at 400 but 600 is pushing it. Is it a straight port of the 64 version, or enhanced in any way?

Buy it, it's a great game. I bought it when it first came out and had a blast. If I remember correctly it took me about 1.5 or 2 hours to finish the story and you can also play co op over live. You don't need the disc to play this either its a standalone dlc.

@bsmiff: You can actually do Swap 'n Stop if you own both BK & BT, which I look forward to doing since I got BT on sale last year. But aside from slightly better graphics, it seems to be the same game.

Finally Case West is on sale. I got Case Zero for the 400 since $5 wasn't a bad deal, but I refused to pay $10 for Case West, $5 I can do.

Finally grabbing Case West and the Soldier Pack... everything else I either bought or was on sale and bought before. Glad I held out for CW.

Totally getting Case West. Debating whether or not to get Banjo though. Would love 400. Nin2-Jump and CW it is then!

Btw, what exactly do the Dead Rising packs bring?

Basically clothing for the character that give bonuses. Soldier is mostly defense, Psycho is mostly melee.
Is there anybody here that didn't like Dead Rising 1 but liked #2? I used to have #1 but didn't care for it. I enjoyed the demo of case zero (most due to the crazyness of the weapon mixing) and always planned on getting the #2. With the DLC I'm wondering if I should get it or not in fear I still won't care much for the game.

Just wanted to try and getting some input, thanks.
I liked both games, however, DR2 fixes a lot of the issues the first game had. Survivors generally can look after themselves during an escort and you have 3 save slots instead of just one. Also, while you still have a timer, I found it to be a lot more forgiving in DR2, as I made it through the game and only missed out on a handful of side quests.

Still, the games are very similar in concept so if you really didn't like the first one in general, the sequel may not sway you.

That's definitely me. I hated the first Dead Rising but really enjoyed the second. Hard to say why exactly, I guess they just fixed most of my issues with the first. Especially with escort missions. Weapons worked better and more interesting for me too.

I think I'm going to pick up Case West and the psycho/soldier packs. I haven't finished DR2 yet, but I love what I played so far. And I agree that Case Zero was one of the best XBLA purchases I have made. I didn't like the first Dead Rising much, and never finished it, but then I picked up Case Zero and loved it. I paid 400msp when it came out and thought it was a great deal, so for 200msp, I recommend it to everyone.

Gonna pick up dead rising: cw and am still on the fence about section 8 prejudice has anybody bought the new section 8 and regretted it?

I just HATE paying full price for anythig on xbla because sooner ratner than later it WILL go on sale

Ohh well just me being a cheap ass

Well, no offline co-op may keep me from buying DRCW. Thought I'd mention in case anyone else was hoping for offline co-op. It's online only.

The regular game didn't have an offline co-op feature either (unless I missed something), so why would essentially an expansion with the same engine?

I have it, its leaps and bounds better than the first game, definitely worth $15. I dont regret it at all.
Section 8 seems pretty cool, but I'm always leery of XBLA online shooters.
section 8 is a difficult purchase because it is so multi heavy. its one of those titles that seems like will have a big community for a few months then drop off when something else good comes along. people on here have such big backlogs this wouldnt seem like a good purchase unless youre ready to play NOW. but damn it looks cool. almost pulled the trigger several times this weekend, but was busy w portal 2

The only thing I regret about Section 8 Prejudice is that all my time is going to be spent playing the Gears 3 beta and getting that obnoxious unlock. And then Brink comes out like right after that.

The game is amazing though. Feels like a combination of Halo and Battlefield, with cool base management stuff. Any other time and I'd say it was unquestionably worth the money.

To be fair, there appears to have been a *lot* of work done to alleviate this concern. The bots are good. Really good. The game is fully functional with just 6-8 people, you won't miss a beat. They also have server lists, so there will never be a case of those who are still interested getting split up. They've also got official and player dedicated servers, which helps immensely in keeping a community together. This is one game I'm not worried about in the slightest of not being able to play it in a few months.

West Case Scenario is finally mine. Don't know how Capcom missed using that name for the DLC. I played the main DR2 game on PC because it was on sale deeply very quickly and it was pretty sweet. Stand-alone DLC on the 360 was a good move by Capcom. Hopefully the up coming mashup is on PC as well.

Case Zero is great, everyone should at least download the demo. It's also very good as a screw around game.

Case West... I would only recommend to people who beat DR2. It's pretty much the real overtime mode. It's pretty good. Although I don't recall any specific ones at the moment I bet it's also filled with spoilers of DR2. I would imagine it's not as good as a screw around game as Case Zero or DR2.
Also, DR: Case Zero is a STEAL for 200ms. I paid 400ms for it and felt it was one of the best bang for bucks I've ever gotten on XBLA.
I second this. I don't regret paying full price at all. Thrilled to get Case West for $5 now too.

Haven't play DR2 yet (waiting for a cheap price on it). I'm planning on picking up Case Zero to get some stats up and just screw around bashing zombie brains in.
Case West picks up after DR2 right? So even if I do get it, I should hang on until I've played DR2, as to not spoil any story, correct?

yes. wait for it

I'm in for DR:CW and Street Fighter. I also bought DR:CZ previously and felt it was worth the $5. Probably in for both clothing packs. Also considering Banjo.

A break in the big deals but a solid week none the less.
New Coming to XBLA blog is up.

Well, it seems to be focused on Castlevania (SotN is also on sale). That might be all that's listed, though I do hope characters are included as well. I'll gain a good amount of replay value if the characters are discounted.

Thanks guy, I appreciate it. I'll update the OP in a few

Nice, Been waiting for DR2:Case West to go on sale, Liked the DR2: Case Zero demo gameplay but really didn't like the whole saving your little girl story aspect so skipped on Zero and the DR2 core game.

Got a bit too excited when I thought it was Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD. Been wanting that one for a while but not for 1200 points. Oh well, picking up RISK and Contra maybe.
I need to stop buying games that aren't on sale, I haven't even touched Case West yet.
i know what you mean. i bought case west and barely touched it.
On the Xbox dashboard, in the Game Marketplace channel, I'm seeing the following sale:

Blast from the Past - Vintage Discounts

Banjo Kazooie
1200 600 Microsoft Points
RISK Factions 800 400 Microsoft Points
Contra 400 200 Microsoft Points
Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting 400 200 Microsoft Points
must resist contra and sf2
I don't think it's an ultimate edition, just a "what if" game with Frank West.
i was wondering about this new dead rising game myself. i was wondering if it includes dead rising 2 + new content with frank west, but you may be right that it might just be dead rising 2 with frank west in the place of chuck.

I bought Banjo Tooie on sale a while back but refused to touch it until Banjo Kazooie got a discount, and what do you know, my wish is finally granted. Yeah, I missed out on the PSX/N64 era almost entirely. I was quite the sheltered boy until I got... the internet.

I'll be picking up SF2HF and all the Dead Rising content too. On that note, I would sure love to have a non-PH, sealed or great condition copy of the original Dead Rising, if anyone's paying attention ;)

In Banjo-Kazooie, Case Zero and Case West. I would've passed on the DR2 DLC if they weren't stand-alone.

Add me to the list of those waiting for a sub-$20 price on DR2. I really wasn't able to get into the first Dead Rising so i'm hoping Case Zero gets me to give it a second chance.

If you're like me, it will ;)

I picked up Case West and the soldier/psycho packs. Can't wait to play!

Any chance Konami puts all the CV stuff on a disc? I'd rather buy a cheap version of that and resell it if I hate it then invest all the moolah on a DLC fest which is what that's turning into. Need to DL the demo again, I love CV stuff but I remember that I felt the game to be crazy slow gameplay wise.

Hate to tell you this but SF2 Turbo HD was 50% off last week.

I'm not crying, I just sprayed myself with mace. Yeah, that's it. Let me guess, they probably had MvC2 on sale as well huh? I do not want to live anymore.
