If you're interested in playing Quake 3, you'd be better off with playing Quake Live than the 360 version. Unless they changed their business model it should still be free to play and will have a much larger online community.
 
For those that are on the fence about Alien Breed remember they are putting the trilogy out on disk form soon(-ish).

Im on a iPhone so I don't have exact date but I remember reading the announcement a little while ago.
 
I bought Worms and the DLC add on for 600 pts total.
Worms was not advertised on the dash board, I had to go to the game itself. Major Nelson didn't even tweet about these deals so we beat MS to the punch.
 
Is Darwinia+ worth purchasing for 400 ms points? I never really got into the Pc game but this has avatar awards and all that good stuff. Tried the demo, seems okay but would like to know what others think of it..

Of course they have to promise more games on sale on April 1st which is after this 5% back thing is over with. I have around 3000 ms points but the question is do I spend them now or wait until the April 1st....

Nice, I think I'm going to get Worms 2 plus DLC as well. Worms never get old, half off too.

Unless it's ME2: Arrival, in which case it should be bought immediately, as with anything Mass Effect related.
 
I can't believe these new sale items that I woke up to. They've really been killing it on the sales for the last few months. I guess they finally learned the lesson that Valve did many years ago. It took long enough.

I'm actually going to wait. Mass Effect 1 belonged to my roommate, whom I no longer live with. When I got ME2 my save wouldn't import. The fix seems to be going in to ME1, playing a bit, and resaving. I can't do that until I get ME1 again and there's no way I'm playing ME3 with the default choices that ME2 gave me for ME1 events. I plan to pick up ME1, play through it or at least get my save working, and do another run of ME2 before getting Arrival. This is way more complicated than it should be, but damn if I don't love me some Mass Effect, so it's okay.
 
I bought Costume Quest last week because I couldn't wait any longer! fuck. But I bit on Raskulls for 400. I'm sure I will enjoy it for at least awhile.
 
I have a quick question. I have never unlocked a trial version of a game because I always buy the game directly from marketplace without bothering with downloading a trial first.
I got the trial for Raskulls and upon finishing it I was given the usual option to unlock the full version and was presented with a message that goes something like: "unlock full version now and get this raskull" and they showed, I believe, a Koala raskull or some animal that looks like it.
Is this a bonus that I wouldn't get if I buy the game without playing with the trial version first or is it just a marketing gimmick?
 
Went ahead and finally bit on Costume Quest. Have had the trial sitting on my 360 since it came out in October :p

Unfortunately, it meant getting another 1600 point card, but I'm sure something good will show up on the 1st.

It's a marketing gimmick. You get the same game no matter how you buy it. The only difference when unlocking while playing the trial is you can keep any achievements you earned.
 
picked up Sonic 4, AB:climax and Ghostbusters thanks to the fine folks at Xbox Taiwan in the past few days. Plus I've barely touched pacman ce. I don't think I've ever built an XBLA backlog before, but here I am.

Also FWIW the old sales from last week haven't been taken down. I impulse bought Burnout 3 upon seeing that.
 
Wow probably in for Costume Quest, Unbound Saga, Worms 2 DLC. I picked up A World for Keflings, hopefully I can get points in time for the 1st sale.
 
Considering both Keflings games, After Burner Climax, Faery, and Crazy Taxi. I've got a glut of MS points due to the sales and such on them, so this should be a good use for them. We'll see what goes on sale April 1st!
 
Whoa, I wasn't expecting these deals. Thought it was odd that Nelson has been so closed-mouthed about April, when we usually get a marketplace schedule 2-4 weeks in advance, but figured it was due to his blog's overhaul.

I'll definitely be picking up Costume Quest and checking out the Unbound Sage trial. Will have to see the April 1st sale before deciding on the others.

In ilomilo, you can dress up your characters as Keflings or Raskulls. What I thought was kinda cool is that if you already own one of these games you can actually test the unlockable content within the demos of the other two games.

Haha...I don't think many would find that quite as amusing as I would. Besides, the details are too vague. They would need to build up our anticipation first by teasing an awesome game, DLC, or discount percentage in advance.
 
So why are people waiting until April 1st? Are you guys thinkin the stuff going on sale now will drop further on the 1st? Or are you just budgeting limited points? I keep a significant supply so the former is not an issue for me. I might drop a fuckng ton of points this week due to all these sales.

those looking at dead money, it is ok, not worth the fullprice, but for 400 it might fill your need. its like operation anchorage in that they take all your stuff, and you dont return with much to show, except a shit ton of money, which probably isnt helpful if youve played the crap out of this game. I was disappointed with it. you + weak weapons + boring gimpy looking enemies + maze of corridors = i just want it to end! ...but thats just me

while the reviews for Unbound are kinda crappy, if you're a comic book fan there's an avatar reward for beating the game...a stack of comics. not bad considering it's 160 ms points. (heck ppl pay more for avatar gear)

This x 100.

Dead Money is good if you want a quick dlc fix for FONV, but even at 400 it's hard to recommend. I came back from beating it with a ton of money as well, which means nothing when you already have 50k+ caps.
 
Great sales. I'll get Dead Money, Understone and Onslaught mode. Oh wow and Deadliest Warrior for 200 points? It's hard to pass up a game for that cheap.

Utopian should be happy with Comic Jumper price.

Well, i would suggest Costume Quest!!!!! That was the last game I paid full price on, and LOVED IT.. It really was great to play it at halloween :) I would recommend this to about anyone!

So, Unbound Saga.. 2 bucks.. crazy.. is that a ok game, easy achievements??? Oh, does the Mirrors Edge time trials add acheivements?? The only other games I don't own that might pick up are Doom 2, 3d Minigolf (if it is easy achieve and ok), Faery, and will most def pick up Fable 3 content
 
I can't wait until Vietnam goes on sale i been waiting for months now. Plus onslaught mode for 200msp(i was going to pass but at this price a must buy) that must buy.
 
Was scrolling through all the deals and am I right, are both Keflings games on sale this week? Coincidence. I think not.

Also Halo Wars addons sound good too. Haven't started playing my Halo Wars yet but DLC ready to go sounds like a win.

Man I've just qued up 6 demos to try out from all these sales. That's not counting the 4-5 I already have. Going to be a busy night with Texas Heat tonight.

Just looked on the dashboard and there are even more games going on sale that I didn't see on the list.
