Haha, yeah same here zewone. I saw it posted at GameSpot about an hour ago... but I got distracted.

I'm excited, I love Super Puzzle Fighter, and being able to play it online with voice chat is particularly awesome.
I was wondering when someone was going to make this topic. I was just about to.
Dude, you're not cool unless you fucking RUSH to the message board and make a topic about it within NINETY SECONDS of it FIRST BEING POSTED ON (insert blog here).

Old favorite of mine though. I'm all over this.

Apparently they're completely redrawing all the art for SSF2. That's exciting, assuming they aren't just touching it up for HD.

If SPF2THD could support up to 4 people it could be the next big "must buy" game for everyone I play with...er, after Settlers and some others. ;D

Still though, go Capcom. Four newly announced XBLA titles in one go? I'd be pretty happy if they could also go right on through and do an Alpha Remix and a 3 Remix just for shits and giggles if MS can't get the BC on those up and running. ;)

I'm really excited that they're completely redrawing the sprites, backgrounds, character selection screen, endings, literally the entire game. I don't think we'll ever get Street Fighter 4, so this is the closest thing that we'll get to a "new" Street Fighter.

I'll buy it. I've gotten more than my money's worth out of XBLA SFII so far.

Also, Puzzle Fighter is amazing. My disc-only PS copy has seen a lot of wear-and-tear, and online vs. will be fun. Capcom's rocking the XBLA.

I fucking love Super Puzzle Fighter! Still play my psone version today.. Online & voice definatley seals this as a day 1 purchase for me.

Between this and vigilante 8, XBLA is gonna be awesome soon.

I've probably bought some form of Street Fighter II more than any other game but I wasn't really happy with Super Street Fighter II Turbo on the Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2. It was a solid port but I'm looking foward to seeing the updated version with new sprites and all. I heard this was happening for the PS3 and as a 360 owner I'm happy they are bringing it to the 360 as well.
I can't wait for this! If only they would bring the fucking Alpha anthology with Udon redoing the ALL of the sprites...
fixed.

oh fuck yes. my life is over. this is one of my favorite games of all time, ill pay 1600 points and play every last one of you. i just shit my pants and im too happy to clean it up. i think ill have to bring back the dan avatar and sig

I have always wanted to try Puzzle Fighter. How good is the puzzle gameplay compared to something like Tetris Attack. Do your actions affect your opponent like Tetris Attack as well?

Have you ever played Puyo Puyo? It's pretty similar to that.
I'll wait to see in-game shots of SSF2THD first.

Then I'll commence pants-shitting if needed.
i shat my pants for puzzle fighter, not ssf2thd (god thats long). puzzle fighter is one of the greatest games ever, ive often dreamed of having an online version in the states. so i cant wait, im going to have to start playing my psx one and brushing up on my skills before launch.

And I'd kind of like to know if the online play is going to be as ass-tastic as the current SFII XBLA release.
And I'd kind of like to know if the online play is going to be as ass-tastic as the current SFII XBLA release.
And how. Since both of these titles and two others are being released on both XBLA and PSN, I'm gonna hold out on reviews. Achievements mean little to me, and they mean a lot less if one of the two versions is laggier than the other.

It's not that bad.

You know, I came into this thread thinking I was going to post about how I wasnt going to buy either, SFII:HF was just for online play and after seeing the entirely different "lag game" you had to play etc etc no thanks..

BUT.

HD Remix? new graphics and not just scaled up, new effects and redraws for puzzle fighter too? okay Im sold.

I still wish they'd do alpha, skip to Alpha 3.
It's not that bad.
Agreed.

I've had plenty of lag free or at least very near it matches on Hyper.

Same with SFAC and CvS2 on xbox.
So how difficult would it be for Microsoft to get Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA?
Very. We're talking "TMNT Arcade was a cakewalk compared to this" difficult.

The online play of SFII sucked. Yes, you could get lag-free matches sometimes, but the poor matchmaking and amount of dropped games hurt. Ultimate MK3 pulled it off a lot better.
So how difficult would it be for Microsoft to get Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA? Who owns the rights? Capcom or Marvel?
It wont be difficult... more like impossible. Rights have been taken away from capcom, and the only way that would change is if marvel takes their head out of their ass and pull the EA contract they have and jump back on with capcom. that, my furry crab leg Brillo padded friend, would be a miracle.

This may actually be my first Xbox Live Marketplace purchase. 99.99% of it is filled with useless shit you have already owned 50 times but the SF II is good nwes indeed  and yes, I do see the irony of this post...

YAY! for Puzzle Fighter. MEH! for SF2THD whatever the hell its called. I'm stoked for PF, but I have to see screens before I even consider yet another sf2.

SSF2T is my favorite Street Fighter, mostly because Chun Li kicks so much ass in that version.

Those complaining about SF2T online must have only played at launch. Games now are rarely laggy and play very well. UMK3 was better though..

Agreed!!!

No, I still play every once in awhile now. But I still get about 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 being red ping. Thats why I do custom match now, quick match doesnt tell you how laggy someone is before you get in and if they're laggy you're already looking at an instant loss.
Street Fighter better be cheap..in fact it should be free for everyone who both the last one...
No, and no.

I bought the "last one," and am going to buy this one. I will spend up to $20 in gamerpoints, and I think it will be worth every penny.
and yet people complain about xbl dlc and how they charge for it...this is why they can't complain...
I don't know what it is exactly that you're implying, but I don't think that this can relate to "xbl dlc" content. It is essentially a new game, and not merely additional content.

I do, however, know that any fan of later Street Fighter games (after II) would happy to pay $10+.

Is Street Fighter II HF on XBL? so why not just update that instead? it's a bunch of bs...
