Xbox 360 Fall Update: Your wish lists

-Customizable achievement sound effect
-CD/DVD/Game still remains at blades screen even if the disc is changed (usually if you go straight to the blades screen, and change the disc, the disc autoloads)
-Faster Xbox Live profile recognition
-This may be more of a title-update per game, but for example, like Ridge Racer 6, I don't want to keep choosing my storage device each time I load up the game. If I had the hard drive and a memory card, I could see that, but if it's just my hard drive, it should autoload from there.
-Ability to delete Xbox 360 Gamerpoint cards for games you no longer want (there are plenty of XBLA games I know I'll likely never play so I want to get rid of their achievement placards... or can you do this already?)
 
I was kinda thinking about this one the other night. Its gotta be doable, but when watching a DVD, instead of just "so and so is watching a DVD" it could say "so and so is watchin 'this' movie". Only slight problem I see is if you watching say Inside Man (finaly watched it last night after a week of sitting around), someone could msg you and be like "how is that movie?" or something like that. Shouldn't be that hard since they link up to a database like they do when you put a retail CD in and it pulls up the tracks...
 
--smoother guide button blade. I'm sick of it freezing just because I press the guide button on a loading screen or something like that.

--only read my ipod once per session and not have to rescan after every time I stop the music.

--BC update!!
 
I have one, maybe after you complete all the achievements for an arcade title you can then "return" it back to the XBL Marketplace in return for maybe 75% of the points the title originally cost. Or maybe after you would complete it you could trade that title for another arcade title completed by somebody on your friends list.
 
-put name of game that is in the drive.
-custom away message
-upconvert DVD over component
-copy gamertag to memory card
-Use keyboard in games (won't happen but would be nice)
-pick importance of downloads if more than two.

well that would make sense if the only reason to play arcade titles was to boost your gamerscore....but I think the point of the arcade was to PLAY THE GAMES...

Major Nelson talked about this in his blog cast a while back, Sorry to say this feature is not going to happen.


I would like a multi person chat room even if it cant be while in game
More codecs OR better codec suppot for divix and such.
Play date reminders and request.(ask a a person to a game of Madden/Halo and the system will remind you of the planned game at a later time)
Instead of the RED RINGS a pic of a sad little kitten pops up on the screen and says "Were sorry you Xbox is experiencing technical difficulties please contact technical support at 1800-4MYXBOX"
Some place in the dashboard that shows all the BC games in a list,Green for BC,RED for NOT BC.

I don't wanna know what people on my friends list watch. You could totally out someone for watching a porno, or worse, a romantic comedy.

I'd like better BC, and better organization in the Marketplace. It's still pretty sloppily arranged.
 
- That you don't get dissconnected from live when playing a BC game, and it just says "playing an xbox game" or something as your status.
- This way you can still get messages and such while playing BC games
- Custom away messages
- Buddy lists (I'd love to have it set up as *friends* *family* *CAG* *random people*)
- Multi chat rooms (comeon, xbox did it!)
- Ability to delete games off your played lists.
 
Since Microsoft owns Rare they should make Goldeneye a Arcade game I would pay 2000 points at least if I could play that online. But it will never happen going from 8-bit games to 64-bit games is too big of a jump.

I like the buddy list idea. also since the camera is coming out soon put the picture of your friend in the little Xbox "toast" pop up thing.

I also think the organized buddies list would be a great idea, as well as adding more then 100 to total friend slots available. I would like to add some CAGS to my friends list if Halo 2 didnt fill it up. This way I can have Halo friends CAG friends etc. Also when it shows the Gamer tag it would show what list it was from example: Strell(CAG)

how about 4 person video chat like apple has. that probably won't be until like next springs update but it would be nice. If people new you could use the 360 as a video conference center more people would by them. especially older people like my parents.

Apparently it's illegal to upconvert DVDs over component
 
backward compatablility with most 2d xbox games... other than that all I care for is a way to eject my discs without having to get up (unless i'm missing something).

Another thing for the update is not to play full screen DVDs streched for those of us with a widescreen TV. I'm not sure if this is an issue with my TV or the 360, but if it's because of the 360 then I want black bars on the side of the picture.
